The Way To Calm The Angel

An Angel's Promise To The Sky

THE WOMAN who was standing beside Won Bin was Taeyeon, and she greeted Leeteuk and Sora with a fake smile, "Aren't you glad to see me, Leeteuk?"

"What are you doing here, Taeyeon?" Leeteuk asked angrily, he can't take his eyes off Won Bin who is still looking at Sora maliciously that made him almost growl at Taeyeon in asking,

"Wae, darling? Do I have any reason to be here?" She asked back and grinned at him, "But to give you one, I'm here to see Won Bin whom I met in Paris before when he did a modelling stint there and we instantly got along with each other very well." Taeyeon said and gave Won Bin a seductive glance,

"And I have also told him a lot of things about you, Leeteuk when I heard that he's going to be in a photo shoot with Sora. I'm sure that things are going to be really interesting." Taeyeon said,

"Sora-ssi, I'm looking forward in working with you." Won Bin then said, "I'm sure we're going to have lots of fun together." he continued that earned him a glare from Leeteuk, while Sora tugged Leeteuk closer to her and pulled his shirt,

"Try if you dare, Won Bin-ssi! You are really going to get what you are asking for." Leeteuk said fiercely, then turned to Taeyeon, "Taeyeon-ssi, if anything bad happens to Sora, I'll make sure that person will pay. It doesn't matter to me who that person is." Leeteuk said, "Mark my words." he then pulled Sora with him going to Sora's rented room.

"Really now? Do you think I will give up with that threat, Leeteuk Park?" Taeyeon said while looking at Leeteuk and Sora walking away from them, "You don't know me that well then." she turned to Won Bin and said, "I have something that I want you to do for me, Won Bin..."

In Sora's rented room

"Does that guy think I will let him get away with it if he does something to you?!" Leeteuk said after bagging the door after they entered the room, "I really might --"

"Stop now, oppa.. We will not get anywhere if you just think about that." Sora said and gave Leeteuk a backhug, "I think what they really want is getting you angry and Won Bin-ssi was satisfied to see your reaction on what he said to me."

"But Princess, I will not really let him get away with it if anything happens to you." Leeteuk said while holding Sora's hand with both of his,

"I know that. We promised to protect each other, right? But please oppa, don't let it get to you. Let's just let them do what they want but never give them the satisfaction of getting both of us mad. Arasso?"

Leeteuk sigh and pulled Sora close to him that made her embrace him by the waist and he held her by her head and kissed it, "Arasso, Princess. Mianhe, oppa let his emotions overtake him. Mianhe."

"Oppa, I think it's better if you fix yourself up already. We are going to be late for our flight back to Seoul." Sora just said, worry is still written on her face. She then pushed Leeteuk to the bathroom and held the knob of the door, "Take your time, oppa. Smell really good for me." she said and winked at Leeteuk before closing the door.

Sora grabbed her phone and dialed a number, she was biting her thumbnail and her lips while waiting for the other line to answer,

"Yoboseyo?" the other line said when it picked up the phone,

"Yoboseyo? Jiyeon-ah, annyeong. It's Sora."

"Oh, eonnie! I missed you. How are you doing?" Jiyeon asked, "Oppa told me that he's going to see you. Have you seen him?"

"Ne. We saw each other last night. But that's not the reason that I called." Sora said, "D-do you have an idea how to..." she then asked but paused for a while and sigh, "Do you know how to calm Jungsoo oppa when he's mad?"

"What? How to calm oppa? That's easy eonnie, just spend your time with him and he'll be fine." Jiyeon said and laughed, "You're the only one he's thinking about and I probably think you are my brother's weakness." she said and giggled,

"No. That's not what I meant. I mean when he's really seriously mad. Have you tried to really calm him down?" Sora asked again, worried about Leeteuk.

"Waeyo? Did something happen there, eonnie? It sounded like you are really worried." Jiyeon asked her again, she changed her tone from being playful to a worried one, just like Sora's.

"I will tell you soon when we see each other. But for now, I need to do something to Jungsoo oppa. I'm worried that he's telling me that he's fine but I feel that he's lying to me." Sora said,

"Hmm, how about doing an aegyo, eonnie? You seldom do that right? That's something new for him to see. I'm sure he will forget whatever he's thinking if you do that." Jiyeon suggested,

"A-aegyo?! H-how will I do that? I d-don't think I can, chingu. I'm fat and I'm not cute." Sora whined to Jiyeon, "I t-think Jungsoo oppa will just laugh at me if I do that!"

"Yah! Eonnie, don't think like that about yourself. What are you? You are a model and I don't find you fat too." Jiyeon blurted out, "You can ask Jungsoo oppa or even JB to confirm that if you like. They will tell you the truth."

"You are just telling that 'coz you are my friends and Jungsoo oppa is my boyfriend." Sora whined,

"Aniyo. I'm telling this to you because that's the truth, eonnie. " Jiyeon answered, "And you happen to be the girlfriend of Super Junior's Leeteuk and I know that man loves you very much. So whatever you do will make him forget everything, eonnie. Just trust yourself."

"I understand. But I don't think I can do an aegyo though. I'm not good at that, Jiyeon." Sora said,

"Try asking Sungmin oppa to teach you how to do an aegyo. He's the King of Cuteness and I'm sure he's going to be a big help to you, eonnie." Jiyeon said, "And we can shop for some cute clothes for you to wear on your dates with oppa too."

"Shop for clothes? Don't you think my clothes are fine? Aren't they good enough?" Sora asked again, suddenly feeling insecure with her wardrobe,

"Aniyo. Your clothes and fashion sense are fine, eonnie. We will just let Jungsoo oppa see you in a different way. Like in a y way." Jiyeon said and Sora can tell that her friend is grinning at the thought.

"Arasso. I really need your help on this, Jiyeon. I want Jungsoo oppa to be happy all the time and I don't want him to think of other things anymore." Sora said, "He has been through a lot with the work they do in Super Junior. So as the SuJu oppas as well, not only Leeteuk oppa." she continued,

"What is about me that you are talking about, Princess?" Leeteuk said and gave Sora a backhug, that startled her, "Who are you talking to?" he then asked,

"O-oppa, you are back." Sora said stammering, "I w-was just t-talking with a friend." she then said and Leeteuk asked for her phone and put it next to his ear,

"Whoever you are, don't call this time. We're going to be busy. Princess will call you back." Leeteuk said and pressed the end call button without looking at the screen, "So what are we going to do next, Princess? You told me to smell good for you, right?" Leeteuk then asked and grinned at Sora,

"O-oppa, I w-was just telling you to t-take your time in the shower. B-because y-you smell like you have been out in the sun for too long." Sora said and turned her head to avoid Leeteuk's gaze,

"Mweo? We are the same, yeobo. I think we should have taken a bath together." Leeteuk said, grinning at Sora. Teasing her again then he saw her pout her lips at him, "Yah, yeobo. I'm just teasing you." he said and starting picking up fresh clothes on his bag, "I still have a schedule to do this afternoon so we have to make it quick back to Seoul." he said before returning to the bathroom to change his clothes.

Thank goodness he left me alone. But what can I do to Jungsoo oppa to make him really smile again and forget about Taeyeon eonnie and Won Bin-ssi? OTTOKE??!

The Fading of Bright Stars

In the years we shared work spaces, seldom did our hours crossed. She worked night shifts, while I move around across different time zones to meet the demands of my profession. She was a luminary; a survivor of countless excisions when the demands of work is lesser than what is required of human resources. And if not for the months-long infirmity last year, she would have endured the most recent culling. She became part of the statistics, only to return when a colleague flew abroad to get married and live with her fiancé.

A fine lady in her early 30's, one would easily mistake her for an East Asian. Her eyes disappear when she smiles, and her porcelain skin is the envy of many. Her gauntly frame, albeit a cause of concern, hardly bothers any. Colleagues would tell she eats nothing but Chippy and Coke. But who are we to forbid her of such pleasures? She delivers, and for all we care, satisfied are we of her job performance.

Talk is an avocation the two of us hardly engage. Reason lies in office hierarchy, but more so, because we respect each other's solitary leanings. But this doesn't mean ambivalence, or hidden disdain. Words may have never articulated what my thoughts were, but I've always regarded her in high esteem.
