Dinner Date

An Angel's Promise To The Sky

LEETEUK and Sora went out that morning and roamed around the city starting from the Central Park going to the Yankees stadium, home for the baseball team New York Yankees. They also visited some art galleries around the city and rode the ferry for the upper Manhattan.

They also saw the Ground Zero site which is now made as a gallery of the past 9/11 bombing of the World Trade Center. Morgan, their driver also showed them the new World Trade Center building which is going to be the tallest building in New York to date when it opens.

Then they visited the famous landmark in New York City, the Statue of Liberty. They even went up to the statue and saw the whole city of New York when they stood inside the observatory on the crown of the Liberty.

Later that afternoon, they just passed by the Brooklyn Bridge when Sora saw a food truck parked on the side of the road, she asked if they can make a stop and try the food on the truck,

"Oppa, I saw one of these trucks from our window. Do you mind if we go ahead and give this a try?" Sora asked and tugged Leeteuk's sleeve,

"That would be great too. Honestly food trucks are one of the best options to choose food here too. You never know what you'll find in a food truck when you try one. But I assure you it's going to be delicious."

"Are lines on those kind of things really long?" Leeteuk asked Morgan while looking at the queue of people waiting for their turn,

"You can say that 'coz it's really seldom that those trucks stop at one place that's why they grab the chance when they see one. Food trucks like that roams around the city and some of them get out of the state to try another.

"Alright. Let's see what were going to find then." Leeteuk said and got out of the cab to fall in line with the other costumers,

It took about 30 minutes before it was his turn to order some food, Leeteuk got 3 boxes of pasta, baked french fries and some slider burgers too. Leeteuk also ordered some drinks as well and gave each one to Sora and Morgan,

"We can go to another place later and give Coney Island a shot. I'm sure that you are going to enjoy that, Dennis." Morgan said to them,

"No. I think we've had enough for today, Morgan. We can do the other things tomorrow." Leeteuk replied, "Can you please bring us back to the hotel."

When they settled themselves on the hotel, both of them decided to hit the spa to relax before they have their dinner. The two of them had a massage and was able to take a nap on the process.

Sora woke up and prepared herself for her date with Leeteuk that night. Leeteuk left her a note that he's going to wait for her at the ballroom of the hotel,

She went to their room to prepare for the dinner but saw two chambermaids waiting for her ,

"What are you doing here?: Sora asked them,

One of the chambermaids just handed her a letter, it was from Leeteuk;

Yeobo-ya,

They are going to help you dress up tonight. See you, Princess.

♥ Jungsoo oppa

The chambermaids helped Sora on dressing up for the date and putting make up on her, she felt really pampered with what they are doing to her. She's feeling both excited and relaxed at the same time specially when she entered the ballroom where Leeteuk was waiting for her,

I told you to wait but I ignore you long time
Just wait little..the day will come someday...
I know what you want to say
I know how long you wait

But I tell you now

You don''t have to cry

Dont cry and lift your face up and laugh..

I will make you smile

I will give you happiness on beside you forever

Dont be afraid everything will be alright.

Thank you for waiting me... My love

Before I tell you sorry but I want to say this..
I want to tell you this
But however I couldn't say
Would you marry me?

Sora heard the song being played on the piano and saw Leeteuk was playing it. She looked around the place and it was decorated beautifully, having a red carpet laid on the floor lined with red and white flowers. The room was lit with a soft yellow light and candles which are all over the room that gave a soft romantic feeling to Sora, and there was also a spotlight which was focused on Leeteuk who was looking straight at her while he's singing the song Proposal by Noel.

She also saw well dressed men holding red flowers on their hand smiling at her, each of them gave the rose to her. She saw that the rose has a tag on the stem. She received all 12 roses from those men before she reached where Leeteuk was,

I WANT TO SPEND MY LIFETIME WITH YOU, WILL YOU MARRY ME?

Leeteuk smiled at her and took her hand, letting her sit beside him on the piano chair.. He is wearing a white Armani suit paired with a red bowtie, which fits perfectly to his body and a pair of shiny black shoes that goes well with his getup.

He continued playing the song without singing, but just fixing his eyes on Sora who was looking back at him,

"Sora-ya, you are my life and I want to be there for you always. I want to take good care of you and spend the rest of our lives together, Princess." Leeteuk said that started to make Sora shed some tears,

Leeteuk stood up and walked next to Sora, kneeling in front of her, holding  "Will you marry me, Kang Sora-ssi?"

"Oppa..." Sora uttered while her tears are falling on her eyes, "I - I know I hurt your feelings when I said no at first, I was just afraid that you might..."

"Shh... Sora-ya, past is past. I didn't have hard feelings on what you did back there. I understood what you thought that time. So don't think about that anymore." Leeteuk said and wiped her tears with his fingers,

"I will say yes, oppa. I don't want to lose you, ever. I want to spend my life with you forever too. I love you so much."

"I love you so much too, Kang Sora. I won't give you a chance to take back your words to me, though. You're really mine now. You are my fiancee, not just my girlfriend. Arasso?" Leeteuk said to Sora with a serious face,

"I'm so happy, Sora-ya. Thank you for accepting it, Princess. You made me the happiest guy in the world." Leeteuk then said and gave her a soft kiss on her lips.

"But, Jungsoo oppa. I have a request though, I still have..." Sora said worriedly but Leeteuk just placed a finger on her lips,

"I know what you're going to say, Sora. We won't rush this up and we will prepare for it. I want to give you a wedding that you won't forget, but that won't be soon 'coz I want you to enjoy everything that you have now. So no worries." Leeteuk said and smiled at her again,

"Thank you for understanding, oppa. I love you so much."

"I love you too, Princess." Leeteuk said and the two of them shared a special kiss together,

They also enjoyed their dinner date together with a man playing the song She by Elvis Costello on the violin.

The Fading of Bright Stars

In the years we shared work spaces, seldom did our hours crossed. She worked night shifts, while I move around across different time zones to meet the demands of my profession. She was a luminary; a survivor of countless excisions when the demands of work is lesser than what is required of human resources. And if not for the months-long infirmity last year, she would have endured the most recent culling. She became part of the statistics, only to return when a colleague flew abroad to get married and live with her fiancé.

A fine lady in her early 30's, one would easily mistake her for an East Asian. Her eyes disappear when she smiles, and her porcelain skin is the envy of many. Her gauntly frame, albeit a cause of concern, hardly bothers any. Colleagues would tell she eats nothing but Chippy and Coke. But who are we to forbid her of such pleasures? She delivers, and for all we care, satisfied are we of her job performance.

Talk is an avocation the two of us hardly engage. Reason lies in office hierarchy, but more so, because we respect each other's solitary leanings. But this doesn't mean ambivalence, or hidden disdain. Words may have never articulated what my thoughts were, but I've always regarded her in high esteem.
