Night In Busan

An Angel's Promise To The Sky

SORA is walking on the way to her hotel room along with some of the stars who came for the awards night from the after party that was held in one of the function rooms of the hotel.

Her room was located at the end of the hall, she reached her  door and was already sliding the card key when someone got hold of her arm, "Sora-ya," a man's voice called her. Sora turned to see who and saw Leeteuk behind her,

"Jungsoo oppa?" she asked, surprised to see his boyfriend standing in front of her. "W-what are you doing here?"

"What do you mean what am I doing here, yeobo? Aren't you happy to see me?" Leeteuk asked while drawing his face closer to Sora's, he then bended his head to the side for the kiss when Sora turned her face away from him,

"B-but oppa, someone might see us here..." Sora told him still turning her face and looking at Leeteuk,

"So, why don't we go inside your hotel room and let's have our talk there." Leeteuk answered, then someone called Sora's name and when they turned they saw Won Bin walking near them,

"Sora-ssi, are you going to call it a night already?" he asked, not minding Leeteuk who's beside Sora, Leeteuk was wearing baseball cap with neardy glasses, a thick scarf covering the half of his face, "Do you want to have a night cap?" Won Bin offered and smiled at Sora,

"Uhh... Won Bin-ssi, I don't drink well and I still have a schedule tomorrow morning," Sora said and took a glance at Leeteuk who is looking back at her, "Maybe next time." she said,

"Sora-ssi, we're signed to do a Basic House photoshoot. Don't you think it would be better for the two of us to get to know each other and cozy up too?" Won Bin asked and gave Sora a smile.  Sora got another modelling stint for Basic House apparel with Won Bin and the two of them just met tonight at the party,

"I really can't Won Bin-ssi... y-you see I - I'm... I'M MARRIED!" Sora suddenly blurted out that made Leeteuk widen his eyes when she glanced at him,

Won Bin was dumbfounded for about a second and he laughed really loud that echoed the whole corridor, "Haha! What are you saying, Sora-ssi? The We Got Married thing you have with Leeteuk-ssi, right?" He asked and laughed again, "That's just role play!"

"Yah! Won Bin-ssi, if you don't want to believe me then fine. But would you mind though? I want to rest now and you go ahead take a night cap alone." Sora said and glared at Won Bin,

"But Sora-ssi, you see... I don't take no for an answer and I'll make sure you will come with me tonight." Won Bin said and grinned at Sora, but he was surprised when someone else got hold of his wrist, and saw Leeteuk, who's still unrecognizable to him,

"If the lady says no, that means it's a NO!" Leeteuk said firmly and glared at Won Bin, who's also glaring back at him,

"Who do you think you are, boy? What do you think you're doing?!" Won Bin growled. Leeteuk was about to answer back at him but Sora just pulled him with her inside her room and told Won Bin to get lost before closing the door.

Sora didn't turn to Leeteuk after closing the door. Both of them went silent and she just stood there holding the knob,

"Sora-ya...: Leeteuk called her name softly near her ear, "Face me, I want to see how you looked tonight." he said and turned Sora's body to face him. Sora is wearing a white, spaghetti strapped gown which shows her flawless white skin and the dress flows down to her feet. her hair tied up in a nice bun with soft tendrils following the contours of her face,

"I guess I understand why Won Bin-ssi was like that to you, yeobo. You look so beautiful tonight." Leeteuk uttered and gave Sora a sweet kiss on her lips,  "I'm sure not only Won Bin looked at you during the awards night. If I were them, I won't look away from you too." Leeteuk said and started kissing Sora from her forehead, eyes, nose and cheeks.

"Sora neomu yeppeo..." Leeteuk sang on the tune of ShiNee's Replay and gave Sora another kiss on her lips and held both her shoulders,

"Oppa..." Sora uttered after the kiss and Leeteuk just smiled and shook his head,

"Ani, yeobo-ya. Don't tempt me again. I'm not planning to do anything to you tonight so brush off that worry look on your face." and he smoothen out Sora's forehead with his fingers, "But I do want to spend the night with you though."

"Yeobo..." Sora uttered and touched Leeteuk's face while looking at his smiling eyes, "You really are here, are you? Wae? You came here this morning with me but you came back tonight."

"Don't you want to be with me, yeobo?" Leeteuk asked and pouted like a kid,

"Ani. I'm really happy that you are here but aren't you tiring yourself going back and forth? You can't just go here by car, oppa. You have to ride the plane."

"Stop now, Sora-ya. What is important is we're together." Leeteuk said then remembered what happened that morning, "Although I admit, I have a reason of coming here besides seeing you." he said  and smirked at Sora. She turned and looked at Leeteuk with questioning eyes,

"Tell me, Sora-ya... did you enjoy the kiss that you shared with Sung Choi Min-ssi?" he said and glared at Sora,

"Oppa..." Sora began and grinned at Leeteuk, supressing her laughter, "It's not Sung Choi Min, it's Choi Min Sung."

"Ah! Whatever his name is! Tell me, did you enjoy your kiss with him?" Leeteuk said and stood opposite of Sora drawing his face close enough for her to feel his breathing.

"Aniyo, yeobo. That's just work and nothing else. I - " Sora tried to explain but Leeteuk didn't give her the chance to do so because when she looked straight at him, he was looking at her seductively.

"Too bad, Kang Sora-ssi... you made me remember why I rushed back here to be beside you tonight," Leeteuk said and hungrily kissed Sora on the mouth, a bit fiercier that usual and his hand reached at her back reaching for the zipper of the gown and Leeteuk walked forward making Sora walk back to the room,

"Oppa, you said you won't do..." Sora said in protest,

"Shut up. This is your fault...." Leeteuk said in a hoarse voice, in between their kisses and his fingers are already pulling the zipper of the gown down that made the white dress loose on Sora's body and she was trying to catch the dress and keep it in place which was impossible,

"Don't fight it, Sora-ya. Let it fall." Leeteuk said, and gave her a peck on her exposed neck. Sora blushed and obeyed what Leeteuk told her, she let the dress dropped on the floor, showing Leeteuk her body. He then lifted Sora out of it and walked forward again,

Then Sora felt the sturdy cold wood on her back when Leeteuk stopped. His hand already  holding the doorknob opening it,

Leeteuk walked her inside the bathroom and kissing her at the same time. He halted when they were inside the shower, "Turn your back to me, yeobo." Leeteuk ordered in a husky voice and Sora followed. She can feel Leeteuk's shaking hands unclasping her brassiere, she immediately hugged herself when the bra came off. She then felt Leeteuk a straight line on her back going down,

"Sora-ya..." Sora heard Leeteuk uttered on her ear when he hugged her tight.

She was sort of anticipating what would Leeteuk will do next but none of that came. When she turned, she saw him standing by the door and taking deep breaths, "Take a hot shower, yeobo. I know you're tired and that will help you a lot." he said and closed the door,

Sora took her time in the shower and smiling at the same time while thinking of how Leeteuk brought her there.

She was wearing the hotel's robe and a towel was propped on her head to dry her hair when she came out. She saw Leeteuk browsing the internet while waiting for her to finish, "Oppa..." she called and Leeteuk turned,

"Ah... oh... your d-done. D-do you mind if I use it too?" Leeteuk asked and immediately pushed the monitor of his laptop down and gave her a peck on the lips before entering the shower.

Sora was already putting on some lotion on her body when Leeteuk came out, he was wearing a pair of blue shorts without anything on top, "Mianhe. I forgot the shirt when I entered the shower." he said and smiled sheepishly at her.

Leeteuk laid his body on the bed and went inside the comforter, "Come on, Sora-ya. Let's sleep." he said, inviting Sora on the bed and when she did Leeteuk immediately gave her a back hug and closed his eyes, "Sleep, Princess. We're going to be early tomorrow."

The Fading of Bright Stars

In the years we shared work spaces, seldom did our hours crossed. She worked night shifts, while I move around across different time zones to meet the demands of my profession. She was a luminary; a survivor of countless excisions when the demands of work is lesser than what is required of human resources. And if not for the months-long infirmity last year, she would have endured the most recent culling. She became part of the statistics, only to return when a colleague flew abroad to get married and live with her fiancé.

A fine lady in her early 30's, one would easily mistake her for an East Asian. Her eyes disappear when she smiles, and her porcelain skin is the envy of many. Her gauntly frame, albeit a cause of concern, hardly bothers any. Colleagues would tell she eats nothing but Chippy and Coke. But who are we to forbid her of such pleasures? She delivers, and for all we care, satisfied are we of her job performance.

Talk is an avocation the two of us hardly engage. Reason lies in office hierarchy, but more so, because we respect each other's solitary leanings. But this doesn't mean ambivalence, or hidden disdain. Words may have never articulated what my thoughts were, but I've always regarded her in high esteem.
