no more perfume.

“Miyoon, do you want to come over to my house for the project?” Chunji questioned. Their teacher had just granted them the permission to talk in class to their partners about their upcoming project which was due in a week. And since Chunji was paired up with Miyoon, he couldn’t wait to speak with her. “Hello?” he waved his hand in front of her face yet there was no reaction.

Miyoon was dazing out the window with her head leaning on her propped up elbow. She sighed and had her bottom lip pursed out, a sign that she was in deep thought. “Yah, Wu Miyoon.” Chunji stated, poking her side. This obviously caught her attention. She snapped out of her daze and jumped up, surprised at his appearance.

“When did you get here?” she stared at him and Chunji’s heart almost stopped beating.

“I’m your seatmate! I was always here,” he whined as he tried to regain his posture.

“Ah, jinjja? Mianhe, I keep forgetting.” Miyoon said as she stared at her blank notebook. Andwae, I didn’t take any notes. “What are you doing here again?” Chunji pouted and then flicked her forehead.

Miyoon shot up out of her seat and had her hand shielding the spot he had just struck. “Yah! Michosseo?!”

“You’re really off in your own world, do you tune everything out?” he asked, shaking his head. She hitched a brow up and sent him a confused look. “Aigoo, our project. I was talking about our project.”

“Okay, then why couldn’t you say that to me instead of hitting me?” she reasoned. “Would you like it if I flicked you?” and before Chunji could apologize or feel remorse, Miyoon mimicked his actions however she probably did it ten times harder.

“Aish!” Chunji winced, loudly. And because he was the flower boy of the school, their classmates were taken back with his words. He looked up at them and pinked. He turned to the culprit and glowered at her or at least tried to. With his cute features, he looked anything but angry.

“Yah, what are you doing?” Miyoon teased, poking his forehead. “That’s fair and square.”

“Whatever.” Chunji replied as he took a seat and turned away from Miyoon. Yes, he was using the silent treatment. She’s so violent, Lee Chanhee. Why are you making friends with her?

“Aigoo, is our wittle Chanhee upset.” Miyoon mused in a funny voice. She got up and stood in front of him but he threw his gaze to the desk. Kill him with kindness, let’s see if it works on him. “Don’t be sad, Chanhee-ah.” She cooed, pinching his cheeks.

Chunji froze at her touch and then he slapped her hand away. “What are you doing?!” he squealed, touching his cheeks. He was acting as if she had him in someway.

“Using the Lee Chunji tactic,” she beamed.

“Eh? I have a tactic?”

“Mhm, your killing people with kindness one!” she replied, as she pounded her fist into her hand like it was a gavel.

Chunji blinked at her and then his mind computed what she had said. “I kill people with kindness?! BO?! People die!? I didn’t know that!” he panicked, slamming his palms onto the desk. “Omo that means I must have killed dozens of people!” he started to mumble incoherent things which was weird for Miyoon

“And you just tried to kill me!” he exclaimed, pointing at her. “Since you used that method.” Chunji was in a frenzy as he paced back and forth, clawing at his hair.

He took what she said literal.

“Yah, Chunji-ah.” Miyoon began to explain but he cut her off.

“And here I thought we were friends! I can’t believe you,” he croaked, hurt. He covered his eyes with his hands, looking as though he was about to cry.

Miyoon’s eyes widened when she heard soft whimpering from him. “Ani, ani. You are my friend! Killing people with kindness is just a saying! It doesn’t mean you actually kill people.” She clarified.

Chunji stopped and sniffled. He removed his hands and revealed his glimmering eyes. “Aigoo, you really cried?” Miyoon frowned and took a seat next to him.

“You said I killed people with kindness that’s why,” he replied. She sighed as her chest deflated.

“It’s a saying, you can’t really kill someone with kindness. Well, unless you were trying to do something nice for them like mow their lawn and they get stuck under the mower or something,” she thought out loud. Chunji stared at her wide-eyed and shocked at her example.

“Yah, you couldn’t think of a better example. Or better yet not have mentioned something violent?” he nagged with bunched brows. Miyoon turned to him with a sheepish smile.

“It was the first thing which came to mind. Besides, it was the only way to get you to not think you were really killing people.” She explained. “Now what was it about our project?”

Chunji gave some thought about she said and found it valid. He dried his eyes by fanning them. “We have to build a model of our solar system,”

“That’s lame though,” Miyoon commented not liking the topic.

“That’s what we were assigned. And it has to be appealing and presentable.” He added on.

“Bo? Waeyo, I’m not an artist here!” she shouted. Fortunately, the whole classroom was in a ruckus so no one heard her remark. “Is it required or something?”

“Ani, that’s just how I do things.” Chunji cheesed.

“Seriously? Well, if you like things neat and tidy, you aren’t going to like how I do things.” Miyoon predicted, putting her knapsack on the desk. She ped it and displayed to him the chaos inside.

Papers were stuffed in there and crumpled up, there were empty juice boxes and wrappers and everything Chunji disliked. “Why are you so messy?!” he sniggered at her as he emptied the bag.

“What are you doing?” Miyoon cried out.

“Cleaning,” he proclaimed as he gathered the trash and disposed of them. “I can’t believe how messy and disorganized you are. If you hadn’t shown me this, I would have never known that you were a slob.”

“It’s only when it comes to my school work!” she defended, attempting to put everything back in her bag. “I could care less about this stuff.”

“You’re a girl, you should care about this stuff.” Chunji advised, slapping her hands away as he straightened out the dozens of worksheets she had suffocating in there.

“So you’re saying because I’m  girl I have to be a neat-freak? Don’t think so.” Miyoon retorted as she swiped everything off the desk and back into her bag.

“Yah, I wasn’t finished!” he complained, extending his arm out to the item but Miyoon’s reflexes were fast.

“This is how I am, if you don’t like it too bad.” She stuck her tongue out at him and just in time the bell had chimed. Miyoon bolted out of the door before Chunji could protest.

“Wait, you never answered my question!” Chunji yelled, chasing after Miyoon who was now with Myungsoo. The two of them shifted their bodies in his direction and Chunji slowed down his pace once he saw Myungsoo’s arm drooping over Miyoon’s shoulder.

“What question?” she asked.

Chunji felt a lump in his throat, forbidding his words to come out. He glanced at Myungsoo then Miyoon and his jealousy was aroused. “Nothing, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He croaked, sauntering back to where he had come from.

“That’s weird, he made it sound like it was something really important.” Myungsoo noted, looking at Miyoon.

In return she shrugged and walked to the exit, “He probably just wanted to scold me some more about my messy bag,”

“Ah, it’s messy again? Didn’t we just clean it?” Myungsoo asked her. Miyoon kept silent as she searched for everyone else, pretending like she didn’t hear what he had said. “Yah, yah don’t ignore—”

“Oh Yifan! What are you doing here?” Miyoon blinked as her brother came running to her.

“Today’s Lay’s birthday! Don’t tell me you forgot, actually you probably did forget.” Kris t
