 say yes.

“Boyfriend and girlfriend? Where’d you get that idea?!” Miyoon gawked as she swallowed down the remainder of pancakes. Hoya grew uncomfortable as well as he placed his utensils onto the table.

Silence consumed the room and Yunhee was seriously considering the idea of strangling Kris. “Yesterday you called him your boyfriend.” He reminded.

“Yifan, I already explained it to you. Why do you have to be hard-headed?” Yunhee spoke, irritated with his childish antics.

“I’m not being hard-headed,” he defended, “I’m being over-protective.”

“No, gege. We aren’t dating.” Miyoon’s eyes moved to her plate. “He doesn’t even like me as a person.” She muttered.

Only Hoya had heard her remark and he was truly surprised and not to mention a little offended. She acted as though he hated her guts. Like if she was on fire and he had a cup of water, he’d drink it and watch her burn. Okay—so he may not have been the nicest to her growing up as children but he had his reasons. Besides was he not warming up to her now? Shouldn’t she have taken that into account?

“You guys don’t look like you’re not dating.” Kris rebutted. Yunhee then raised her hand ready to swat him when the shiny object on her finger reflected light off of it and caught Miyoon’s attention.

“U-unnie, what’s that on your hand?” she asked with widened eyes. Yunhee froze and glanced up to her left hand before she slowly lowered it with enflamed cheeks. “Is that an—”

“Engagement ring?” Hoya finished giving the couple his full attention as well. It was his first time knowing a couple who were engaged and soon to be married and he had to admit, he was pretty curious at how things like this worked out.

“I thought you told her?” Kris quirked a brow at Yunhee who pouted and took a seat.

“How could I? Every time I called you were bothering us.” She explained as she played with the ring, constantly twisting it around her finger.

“Tell me what?!” Miyoon was anticipating their answer. She had a pretty good idea what they were going to say but she wanted to hear it from them.

“We’re getting married.” Kris bellowed victoriously as he smiled lovingly at his fiancée before taking her hand in his own. Then he turned back to the two youngsters with a poker-face, “But don’t think I’ll stop investigating on you and Mr. Soccer Player over there.”

“KYAAAAAAAAA!” Miyoon shrieked, blocking out her bother’s last statement. “You guys are really going to get married? This is so exciting! When did this even happen? Why didn’t you tell me sooner! Omo, does everyone else know?” At this point Miyoon was bouncing up and down in her chair with a dopey grin painted on her face.

She had never been this excited before and Hoya couldn’t help but smile at her silliness.

“I told you she’d go berserk when she found out.” Kris told Yunhee.

“I am not going berserk! I’m just extremely happy. There’s a difference.” Miyoon retorted.

Yunhee placed their entwined hands onto the table and blushed. “We’ve been engaged for two months now. This idiot wanted to propose by a tree he engraved the question on and when he brought me there, he realized it wasn’t the right one and we spent a whole hour searching for it before he finally found it.”

“How cheesy!” Miyoon cackled wildly as she slapped the table.

Then a cloth napkin smacked her in the face and she stopped her laughing spree. She blew a raspberry at her brother but he just blinked at her, “I didn’t do it.”

“Don’t you know it’s impolite to laugh at elders?” Hoya scowled. He looked back at Kris and Yunhee, “I thought that was a very creative way to ask her.” He commented genuinely.

“And what would you know.” Miyoon stated as she fixed herself.

“More than you would.” Hoya countered sharply.

“I’m glad you thought so. Maybe you’re not that bad,” Kris declared, enjoying how his sister was being put in her place by someone other than him.

“Yah! You’re supposed to be on my side!” she barked.

“Says who?” Kris taunted. “I like him more than I like you. He doesn’t think my way of doing things as corny.”

“I said cheesy,” Miyoon snickered. “But you’re right, they’re corny too.” Another cloth fabric came soaring towards her but she caught it in the knick of time. Her head snapped back at Hoya and she stuck her tongue out at him. “Didn’t get me that ti—” her sentence was cut short when a third flew in her direction and pelted her on the side of the face.

“Oh but we did!” Kris mused.

“Why are you tag teaming me?” she frowned. “Unnie, help me.” Yunhee chuckled before she turned to her soon-to-be-husband. She then picked the disposable roll of napkins which had attacked him earlier and whacked him square in the face. “Yay!” Miyoon clapped like a child.

“Yunnie!” Kris exclaimed, rubbing his face. He was about to get her back but she glared ferociously at him.

“Do it and count yourself as a single man, Wu Yifan.” She threatened.

“That’s unfair,” he sighed defeated as he disarmed himself.

“Someone’s whipped,” Miyoon teased as she did the gesture of a whip.

“You’re so childish, Wu Xiazi. Hajima.” Hoya instructed.

Miyoon cocked a brow at him, “You stop it first, Lee Hoya.”

Hoya blinked at her, “Who said you could call me that?”

“Who said you could call me by my Chinese name?”

He squinted his eyes at her. Why did I call her that in front of her? Aish. “Well, if you’re going to call me that you better add some honorifics.”

She scoffed, “You don’t add any honorifics when you talk to me. It’s always ‘Yah, Yah Wu Miyoon or Yah nuisance!’ Tch,”

“Nuisance?” Yunhee and Kris chorused simultaneously.

Hoya gritted his teeth and frowned deeply at Miyoon who her teeth at him. “Yeah, so when you start using honorifics I’ll think about it. But for now, I think I’ll have fun with calling you Hoya, besides omonim said I could.” She smirked.

“Yah!” he shouted.

“Yah!” she mimicked. “Yeah and you called me childish.”

Hoya’s body tensed, I’ll get you.

“You don’t think—” Kris paused.

“I don’t know what to think at all. They kind of remind me of us.” Yunhee whispered.

“So when’s the wedding?  You guys still didn’t answer any of my questions.” Miyoon changed the topic as she stared at the couple who was completely taken by the scene.

“We’re planning it for the middle of July.” Kris answered.

“Whoa! That’s in two months! Do you guys need help with anything? I can—get a really good wedding planner.” She offered generously since she knew nothing about wedding planning.

“I think we’re just going to have a simple wedding and party here. We’ll have the ceremony during the daytime and the reception at night so it’ll be cooler for everyone.” Yunhee detailed as Kris brought her closer to him.

“Ah, that works too.” Miyoon nodded. “I can’t wait! This will be the first real wedding I go to!” she squealed.

“You’ve never been to a wedding before?” Hoya inquired.

“Not one that I’ve enjoyed.” She shrugged. “I always went with my parents and the couples were always ten years older than me.” Her face scrunched up in disdain and Hoya stifled a laugh.

“I’ve never been to one either.” He announced. “You guys are the first couple I know who are planning on marriage. Guys my age don’t want to settle down yet I guess.”

“Really?” Yunhee smiled. “Why don’t you come then?”

“Eh?!” Miyoon gaped. “You’re inviting him?” she pouted. “Why?”

“So he can make sure you don’t do anything stupid.” Kris butted in.

“I don’t do anything stupid!” she argued.

“If you did, why would you admit to it?” Hoya provoked. “If that’s okay, I would be honored.” He bowed politely.

“Xiaxia, you can invite Myungsoo and the rest of his friends too. They were a nice group.” Yunhee declared and Miyoon stiffened at his name.

“Y-you want me to invite him too?” her voice was pain-stricken. She hadn’t thought about him until today.

“Why not? It’ll be fun.”

“Uh—”

“I’ll make sure to pass the news to him.” Hoya cut in knowing Miyoon was having a rather difficult time with her reply.

“Aw, that kid again?” Kris nagged. “I don’t like him.”

“That’s what you said about Howon-sshi yesterday and now you’r
