“Tao, you’re supposed to crack the eggs before you put it on the frying pan,” Lay scolded lightly as he wiped his hands off on his pants. He jerked Tao aside and shook his head disapprovingly as he removed the eggs and extracted them from their shells.

The crackling and sizzling resonated through the kitchen as the five males moved about, trying to prepare a grand breakfast for their favorite meimei. And man, if Lay thought teaching Miyoon how to cook was difficult, instructing Xiumin, Chen and Tao to maneuver around in the kitchen was an impossible mission. It was like these guys had never stepped into a kitchen before so of course, the cooking was left to mainly Lay and Luhan to handle. The only thing those three could do properly was pouring juice and making cereal.

“Xiumin hyung, you’re not supposed to eat yet.” Luhan sighed as he flipped the pancakes.

“But I’m hungry,” the latter whined, stealing another slice of bacon from the plate.

And when he did that, Chen sneakily swiped a pancake to satisfy his own hunger. This forced Luhan and Lay to make double of what they intended if they still wanted to make the event big. They had to keep an eye on the food but after a while, they gave up on trying to get help from the other guys or stop them from eating if they were hungry and at last they had managed to finish everything.

By this point, Chen and Xiumin were stuffed therefore they stopped stealing the food. Now all that was left to do was to wait for Miyoon to wake up so that they could enjoy the meal together.

As the five of them sat in the living room, Tao and Chen were fussing over what channel they should watch while Xiumin dozed off from succumbing to what he liked to call a “food coma.” The two master chefs who unquestionably worked strenuously and meticulously were tiredly sprawled out on the couch now, exhausted from the immense meal they created.

They didn’t often cook at such a large scale but after last night’s events, they were trying hard to make sure Miyoon would feel better and being her geges since for as long as they could recall, they were aware of the fact that the girl adored food. Especially during breakfast.

So once Miyoon had fallen asleep, Lay carried her to bed and tucked her in quietly and their planning for a better day for Miyoon took place. The five of them conversed on how they would make her forget the horrible thing she had to experience and Xiumin suggested right off the bat that they should start the day by having a nice meal consisting of all Miyoon’s favorites. After that… you’ll see what they decided to do.

As Miyoon’s eyes fluttered open, she could do nothing but stare blankly out her windows. The shades were drawn and how she managed to sleep through the beaming sun was a surprise to her. She yawned tiredly before she threw the covers off and headed for the bathroom.

“God do I feel like crap,” she grumbled, turning the facet on. She allowed the water to run for a good minute before she moved her cupped hands under there and began washing her face. The coldness jolted her awake as she searched blindly for a towel to pat herself dry.

Once the fabric absorbed all the liquid lingering on her face, she picked up her toothbrush and the toothpaste. While cleansing , Miyoon ended up locking eyes with her reflection. She leaned in closer and her fingers grazed over the areas where it was swollen and red. Her breath started hitching and as she recalled last night’s confrontation, she stumbled back.

Myungsoo’s disoriented face, his heart-clenching words, her own deep confessions. She suddenly felt the need to throw up as she hastily spat out the substance in and gargled water to rinse herself clean from the taste.

After finishing, Miyoon fumbled out of the washroom. She then fell onto the floor with a loud thud and instead of getting back to her feet, she stayed glued there. “So I really told him the truth,” she choked out. Her hand slowly climbed to her chest as she felt the soft and calm beating of her heart. Surprisingly, she was alright and the immense guilt which had devoured her body no less than twenty-four hours ago was nowhere to be found, seen or felt.

“I told him the truth,” she repeated with more confidence. This feeling of relief came into scene and Miyoon nearly broke out into a wide smile. All the pressure, all the lying and pretending were gone now and it felt amazing. “I didn’t do anything wrong.” She declared. “If anything, the only thing I did wrong was waiting to tell him for so long. I should have told him the moment I realized what he was thinking.”

The epiphany was so overwhelmingly grand and joyous Miyoon had a hard time believing she had actually cried at all yesterday. She let out a single chuckle as she got onto her feet. “You have nothing to be sorry about, Wu Xiazi. You did the right thing when nobody else would and you should be proud of yourself.” A bigger smile crept onto her face as she threw the door open and skipped out.

Entering the kitchen, she took a whiff of the bacon and her stomach was not shy as it gurgled loudly. “Food!” she shouted happily, darting over to the dining table. “There’s so much.” She shrieked as she took a spoon and scooped up some scrambled eggs.

“Xiamei is up!” Xiumin declared and at the sound of something that resembled an elephant stampede, Miyoon’s head whipped to the living room where she saw her geges running towards her. She blinked at them and swallowed.

“How did you guys get in here?” she asked, waving her eating utensil at them.

“You let us in, remember?” Chen replied.

Miyoon on the spoon and thought about it, “I did last night. How did you guys get back in though?”

“Simple, we never left.” Luhan stated as he handed her a plate. “Now stop asking and start eating. Lay and I prepared this for you, so you better eat it all.”

“Hey, we helped too!” Tao corrected.

“Yeah and it would’ve been easier if you hadn’t.” Lay snickered.

“Eh? So you guys made me breakfast and slept over? But why?” Luhan sighed and spun her around. His hands grasped her shoulders as he prodded her forward.

“Why can’t you just be grateful?” Lay harrumphed as he placed two pancakes on her dish. She knitted her brows at them as he added more food. When her plate was stacked, Luhan led her over to a chair and pulled it out. Miyoon obediently sat down and Xiumin delivered her a glass of orange juice.

“This is so weird.” She mumbled, holding tightly onto her spoon and fork.

“Would you like a massage, mei?” Tao offered kindly as he came up behind her and lightly punched her back.

“Okay, am I in another universe or something? Why are you all treating me like a princess?” she openly pondered, standing tall on her feet.

“That’s because you are a princess.” Chen oozed, wriggling his eyebrows up and down.

“And you’re the president of the country, ge.” She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms against her chest. “Someone better start talking. Omo! Did one of you crash my car or something?!” she accused. Next, Miyoon bolted to the front window and ripped the curtains apart. When she saw that her Audi was still intact and as beautiful as ever, she felt a sense of alleviation. “Thank goodness.” She breathed.

“Gosh, meimei, we just want to make sure you’re okay. We can’t be nice to you for no apparent reason?” Chen said.

“Huh?” she looked at them and Lay strode to where she was and hugged her.

“You’re not alone, mei. We’re here if you need us.” He whispered. She tried to detach herself but he held onto her tighter, nearly squeezing the life out of her. “It to witness someone you care about getting hurt but the truth is the truth. He would have found out eventually. It was good that
