“What would they like?” Miyoon pondered as she strolled about in the deserted shop. Lucky for her Mr. Kam knew a friend who opened late especially during this season; if he didn't she wouldn't have been able to get Mrs. Park or her family anything. She recalled there were a total of four people in the elder's family: herself, her daughter, her son-in-law and her grandson whom she still hasn't met.

It was like fate was against them meeting but with the descriptions ascribed to him by his grandmother, Miyoon knew he was a saint. Mrs. Park although she never directly admitted it was going through a tough financial process involving her son-in-law's condition and Miyoon couldn't bear it.The elder often mentioned how her grandson had to work at a very young age to help them get by and that impressed her, drastically. However, she didn't know what to get a high school boy. He deserves a lot for being such a good sport, and Miyoon was planning on making sure he got it.

“Maybe he would like something Myungsoo would like?” she theorized. “But that's different. Hm, clothes? I don't know what size he wears. Games? What if he isn't into that? Aish, this is so hard.” she nagged. In her cart Miyoon already selected the three gifts for the elders. Actually it was more like several gifts for each of them. She couldn't choose one thing over the other therefore she picked them all.

It was simple for Miyoon to shop for them because adults weren't as picky as children and she figured Mrs. Park would love anything Miyoon bought for her. It was in her nature.

The shop only had two people inside, Miyoon and the cashier in his teen years that looked like he would be able to help. She approached him and saw his nametag which read: Zelo and he was playing on his playboy when she made her presence known to him. He glanced up and took a double take of the girl before him; remember Miyoon was still dolled up in makeup and all.

He blinked, threw his gaming device under the counter and straightened himself out, “Annyonghaeseyo, welcome.” he greeted.

“Annyonghaeseyo, how old are you?” she questioned, bluntly.

Zelo felt giddy inside thinking she had a certain reason in asking his age, “Fourteen.” he shot back, gleefully.

“Close enough. Do you know what an eighteen years old boy would want for Christmas?” Miyoon examined a few merchandise from the shop but she definitely needed a second opinion.

“Oh, are you getting a gift for your boyfriend?” he asked, coming out from behind the counter a tad disappointed.

When Miyoon saw how tall he was, she gaped at his height, “Are you sure you're only fourteen. Gosh, kids are getting taller by the second.” she mumbled, tailing him.

Zelo chuckled at her comment and led her to the electronics section, “Yes and since your calling me a kid, I guess you'd be a noona.” he guessed.

Miyoon grew embarrassed because he had heard her comment, “Neh.”

“Well beautiful noona, if I were an eighteen years old boy with you for a girlfriend, I'd be thankful just to have you.” Zelo grinned. Then what he had said registered into Miyoon’s mind.

She raised her hands and waved them, frantically. “Ani, ani. It’s not for my boyfriend, just somebody special.” She explained.

“Is that so? Well headphones or watches would be the safest bets.” He told as he held each item in his hands.

“You don’t have any other colors?” Miyoon stared at the purple merchandises.

“Only pink and baby blue, these are really popular during this season.”

But I don’t know of any guys who likes purple. Miyoon’s chest deflated as she picked up the headphones and analog watch. “I guess they will do. Komawo.”

“It’s a good thing Zelo knew how to wrap presents.” Miyoon smiled as she glanced over at the sack filled with gifts she had brought. She adjusted the Santa Claus hat she had also purchased and was satisfied with her appearance. “I hope they like my presents.” She whispered.

As the car came to a steady stop, Mr. Kam’s phone went off. He answered it with a hello and soon handed it over to Miyoon. “Agasshi, it is young master.” She groaned and took the device from him and held it to her ear.

“Yah where did you go you brat?” Kris hissed over the phone. “This is supposed to be bonding time for us!”

“Yifan we have two whole months for that, aren’t you on break? Gosh, I’m at sunbaenim’s house. She forgot her presents so I decided to bring them over. Is there a problem? If not I have to go, bye!”

“Wu Xia—” Miyoon hung up and clucked her tongue.

“Agasshi, I don’t think that was a good idea.” Mr. Kam chuckled.

“He’ll live.” She replied. Unless Hyunri kills him first. Miyoon rolled her eyes at the thought of the devil. She then looked up and found that they were in a small yet condensed neighborhood. There were barely any cars and zero Christmas lights to beautify the streets. It was just normal streetlights, nothing special. It was dark and quiet, something she did not fancy.
