 romantic love.

As Miyoon woke up, her hair was in grave disarray as she groggily scratched her head. She blinked a few times before she rubbed her eyes and released a yawn. Her arms extended out in attempt to stretch her body before they fell back to her side. She then glanced around her room, confused.

For a moment, she was lost at how she ended up there since the last thing she remembered seeing was the television set down in her living-room. Truth was Miyoon had drifted off to sleep during the last ten minutes of the movie due to exhaustion. Her head had fallen onto Hoya’s shoulder who didn’t notice she was fast asleep until the credits appeared on the screen.

His heart had fluttered and he was unquestionably tempted to place a kiss on those perfect lips of hers but he didn’t want to take advantage of her so instead, he pressed his lips to her forehead, making the feeling more intimate. After, Miyoon shifted slightly and caused a subtle smile to crawl onto his face. Hoya then hoisted her up, one arm tucked behind her bent legs while the other rested underneath her neck.

The contact made his heart nearly lose all self-control he had as he searched for her room. It took him a good five minutes walking around the unfamiliar house before he finally found it. Carefully and quietly he had opened the door and tucked the sleeping beauty in his arms beneath the covers. He couldn’t refuse the need to bring another kiss to her temple and as he stepped away, he bit back his smile and exited the house. That night was a night neither of them were ever going to forget.

“So everything that happened yesterday was real,” Miyoon murmured to herself. She experienced this bubbly feeling in her stomach at the memory of his hand in hers as she picked up a pillow in order that her shrill screams would not disturb anyone else. While she was shrieking like a crazed fangirl, she fell onto her stomach as the pillow her face was absorbed in sunk into the mattress.

Suddenly, she was cut off when the doorbell echoed through the halls of her house. Her head shot up and her eyes widened before a grin prowled onto her face. “Did he come to wish me a good morning?” the bubbly sensation in the pit of her stomach swelled as she struggled out of her covers. It seemed like her sheets didn’t want to separate from her as her feet delayed her answer to the door being all tangled in them.

Unfortunately, the way Miyoon was able to liberate herself was painful as she clumsily fell off of her bed. There was a loud thud and she groaned before pushing up from the floor. She scrambled to her feet and dashed to the door as the bell resonated again. She was about to answer it until she saw her reflection in the mirror hanging in the hall. She gasped in horror, taking a detour at the bathroom wear she brushed her hair and rinsed her face along with . She gargled the mouthwash, spat it out and dried herself off with a towel.

“Much better.” She approved as she returned back to the door. Feeling anxious all of a sudden, Miyoon flattened her hair and blew into her hand to double-check her breath. When the coast was clear for the second time, she inhaled and turned the knob. “Was my food that goo—” she froze mid-sentence for the person in front of her was not the one she had expected.

“Since when did you cook, Xia?” Myungsoo pondered amusedly as he welcomed himself in. He eyed the house and then slipped out of his shoes. Miyoon was still stunned and after she remembered the deal she had made with him. She felt a stab-like feeling in her chest as she closed the door. She did all of that for nothing.

Meekly, she turned around with her head drooped. “You could’ve called first,” she mumbled, trying her best not to sound rude. She then dragged herself over to where Myungsoo was seated; he obviously didn’t hear her comment. He was too busy playing with the remote and she sighed.

“Jagi, our home is so nice.” He suddenly cooed, placing the device back on the coffee table. Miyoon nodded nonchalantly before her mind repeated his words. Her eyes transformed into the size of the moon as she gawked at him.

“Our home?!” she nearly choked on her saliva as Myungsoo stood up and grinned. He began giving himself a tour of the house and Miyoon couldn’t believe this. She chased after him and when she arrived before him, it was too late because he was already comfortably lying down on her bed. Her jaw hit the floor as she shook her head. This can’t be happening. He thinks we live together?!

“Ah, so soft!” Myungsoo chimed, rolling around on the king-sized mattress now. “I bet I picked out this bed!” the latter was clearly enjoying himself but then he stopped and looked over at the door where Miyoon was planted, speechless. “Come join me, Xia!” he requested cutely as he patted a vacant space next to him but she remained unresponsive. This was all too much for her to handle.

Myungsoo’s forehead creased, confused because of her silence. His brows furrowed after as he got off the bed and walked over to her.  He stuck a hand out in front of her face and waved it back and forth, “Hello?” but Miyoon was still passive. The only actions he could see her taking were breathing and blinking. Is my yeobo sick? Next, he pressed the back of his hand to her forehead and the skin to skin contact led Miyoon’s brain function normally again.

“What are you doing?” she shuddered, drawing back from his touch.

“I was checking to see if you caught a cold,” he pouted, thinking that he had upset her.

“Well, I didn’t.” she answered. Miyoon felt her face growing hot as she returned to the living-room with Myungsoo on her tail.

“You are mad,” he huffed innocently.

“I’m not.” She argued.

“Yessuh, aigoo. How about we go out on our date right now? You’ll feel much, much better!” he beamed, stepping in front of Miyoon. She halted in her tracks and cocked a brow at him.

“Date?” she inquired. “Right now? Just me and you… the two of us alone? No one else?” Miyoon didn’t know what to feel since there was a mixture of emotion swirling in her body. She wasn’t able to distinct them all individually but she was able to tell at the moment that at least one of those feelings was not a good one because although she didn’t want to admit it, she would’ve preferred the person standing in front of her to be Hoya and nobody else. Not even Myungsoo and she couldn’t help but feel a little guilty.

“There will probably be other people there but who cares? As long as we’re together, it’ll be perfect.” Myungsoo proclaimed and as Miyoon was blankly zoning out with her eyes settled on his face, he caressed her cheek sweetly before pulling her in and pressing his lips against her forehead. “You’re perfect,” he whispered once he retracted.

Miyoon was definitely caught off guard with that move and she couldn’t help but feel disgusted with herself. What was she doing right now? How could she let him touch her like that especially after everything she had been through not just with him, but with Hoya as well? Is this what people call two-timing? Her heart became heavy as she thought about how Hoya would feel if he found out what was going on right now and that’s when she recalled the media.

Her anxiety rate rose as she turned her head t
