“You better sleep with one eye open for the rest of your life, Chen ge.” Miyoon warned as they exited their vehicles and stepped into the park.

“Ouuu, I’m so scared.” He answered sarcastically. “Because I don’t know how to lock my doors and windows at all.”

“You’ll see,” she stated with her eyes squinted.

“Where is this guy anyways?” Tao inquired, scanning the area. There were a few children scurrying about with their parents but other than that there was nobody else in sight.

“Maybe he didn’t want to show up because ge sounded like a creep over the phone,” Miyoon insulted openly as she sat down on a nearby bench.

The guys all took a seat on the grass before they began putting on their equipment. “Don’t get your undies in a bunch, mei. Not many people know this but I have the power to turn men gay. It’s happened before and it could happen again.” Chen shot back. “So I understand if you feel insecure with having me around your boyfriend.”

“Gross, we didn’t need to know that.” Xiumin gagged, shaking his head as he scooted away from Chen.

The lad’s face fell when he realized his comment wasn’t really all that beneficial to him. “I was only kidding!” he shouted.

“Sure you were.” Miyoon snorted. “Told you you were a creep.”

“Alright, kids stop with the name calling.” Lay instructed as he hopped to his feet. He performed a few calve and thigh stretches and the others quickly joined in while Miyoon discretely took out her phone. She checked for any messages from Hoya but when there was none, she felt a little pang of drear. Truthfully, she really wanted to see him but she refused to admit this fact to her geges.

Miyoon wanted to be upset that Chen had sneakily went behind her back and invited Hoya to the park but at the same time she couldn’t be. She was actually super grateful and appreciative because now thanks to her nosy ges she didn’t have to come up with a lame excuse for Hoya to come and see her. For Lay was one-hundred percent correct when he guessed that she missed him especially after everything that happened with Myungsoo. She knew that if Hoya was there comforting her, she would never doubt or blame herself. She wouldn’t feel burdened or sad because he would have taken it all away. That’s what Lee Howon always did for her.

As she dazed out at her phone, her eyesight suddenly went completely black. “Hey, Xiumin ge, I’m not in the mood to play peek-a-boo with you.” She grunted. Then she felt hot air drumming against her ear and it was definitely not the wind.

“Who said I wanted to play such a childish game with you, nuisance?” she heard Hoya’s oh so addicting voice scoff playfully. Next her hands flew up and gripped onto his before she pried them off and turned her head around. Her heart fluttered, her stomach churned and her breath hitched uncontrollably. Too worsen her symptoms, Hoya squeezed her hands and smiled gorgeously at her, displaying his perfect set of pearly-whites.

Miyoon could do nothing but stare at him as a gentle, warm breeze brushed by them. Her heart pounded rhythmically against her ribs as her eyes trailed down to his lips. Hoya caught her and then leaned in and pecked her cheek. As he pulled away, the blush flooded her face. He stopped and quickly whispered, “I would have kissed you on the lips but it looks like we have company.”

Hoya jerked his head up and Miyoon groaned inwardly at the recollection of their presence. “Eh ehm.” Someone muffled. Then she felt Hoya straighten up behind her yet he never lost the courage to hold her hands. Instead of releasing her, he interlaced their fingers, taking their intimacy to a whole new level. He greeted the five other males as his warmth embraced her. “Annyonghaeseyo Lee Howon-imnida.”

“So you’re really meimei’s boyfriend?” Luhan wondered curiously.

“Uh, not officially speaking.” Hoya replied sheepishly. “I haven’t asked her out yet.” At the word yet, Miyoon felt her insides knotting up as he walked around and dropped down to take the vacant seat beside her. “I’ve got to wait for the perfect moment so that it will be memorable.”

“It’s not like you’re proposing to her and asking for her hand in marriage. Just do it.” Chen urged.

“Yeah, we don’t like our mei making physical contact with someone whom she isn’t dating exclusively.” Tao reasoned.

“Why don’t we introduce ourselves first?” Lay suggested and as Chen opened his mouth, Hoya cut him off.

“That’s not necessary. I already know who you all are.” He pronounced. The six of them, including Miyoon, were taken aback, allowing him to carry on. “You are Kim Minseok, the oldest by age but the youngest at heart. However, you prefer to be addressed as Xiumin or Baozi.” He said, gesturing to the mentioned party. Then he transferred his attention to the deer-eyed man.

“You are Lu Han, the second eldest and the most charismatic and charming of the group. Ladies fall for you because of your sweet voice and baby face. You are Zhang Yixing also known as Lay, the forgetful mother of the bunch. You run a series of restaurants with Luhan-sshi. Am I correct?” When Lay nodded, Hoya found it safe to continue since he was very accurate and precise.

He glanced at Chen next. “You are Kim Jongdae or Chen. The womanizer and jokester. And finally,” he shifted his eyes to Tao. “You are the maknae, Huang Zitao. You enjoy long walks on the beach alone and using wushu against anyone who harms, threatens or flirts with your meimei.” It was literally dead silent due to the fact that they were all astounded by his knowledge.

“Did you send a private investigator to find out stuff about us or something?” the jokester gawked.

“No.” Hoya responded honestly. “Xiazi’s brother had a group photo of you guys back at Daejeon. He showed it to me and decided to brief me on a little bit of information about each of you. He told me I’d have to meet you all because it's inevitable. So he thought I should be prepared.” He explained.

They all did a double-take. “Yifan told you about them? How come you didn’t tell me?
 Miyoon gaped.

Hoya looked at her, nodded and then shrugged. “When you and Yunhee were feeding the kids. And you never asked me.”

“Whoa. He doesn’t even use honorifics with jie.” Tao commented, impressed.

“Who cares about that,” Lay dismissed. “They’re the same age and Yunhee is friendly with everyone. How about the fact that he’s met Kris already and is still alive and breathing?”

“Does this mean he approves of him dating Xiamei?” Xiumin voiced.

They looked at each other yet again before they stared at the unofficial pair. “Stand up,” Chen demanded and Hoya willingly did. Seconds later they surrounded him and nodded their heads softly.

“If duizhang permits, then so should we.” Luhan suggested. “He’s obviously more than okay with them.”

“Hmm,” Tao sighed and then he randomly threw a fist in Hoya’s direction. Luckily there was no pain inflicted upon anyone. As swift as a fox, Hoya dodged his blow and Miyoon’s eyes rounded, petrified.

“Yah! Tao ge! What are you doing?!” she seethed, shooting up and planting herself defensively in front of Hoya.

“He’s pretty fast.” Tao noted. “I approve.”

“What if he didn’t dodge you in time? You would have hurt him!” Miyoon exclaimed agitatedly.

Tao cocked his head to the side, “Oh yeah. Then I would have to reject his candidacy because it would mean he’s incapable of protecting and defending you. He has good reflexes which always comes in handy.”

“But still!” Miyoon whined. “You know I can defend myself anyways.”

“Relax, Xiazi. I’m fine and,” he leaned in closer to her, “Your brother told me he would probably try something like that so I was ready beforehand.”

She eased up a bit and huffed in annoyance. “Now that we’ve formally introduced ourselves… I guess, why don’t we play some soccer?” Lay questioned.

“Sounds cool with me,” Hoya agreed. He wasn’t as nervous or intimidated by them as he was with Kris because Kris had assured him that if he just acted like himself, the guys would take a liking to him just like he had. And being Lee Howon was probably the easiest thing Hoya had to do.

“So how are we going to split up? There are seven of us.” Chen pointed out.

“Actually, I didn’t really think you were serious about playing so I just brought my flip-flops.” Miyoon meekly confessed, shrinking back a smidge. They all checked her feet and saw her wiggling her toes.

“Why wouldn’t we play? It’s not every day you get the opportunity to play with one of the best soccer athletes known to your country,” Xiumin said, smiling.

“Yeah and too make it more fun, why don’t we make a wager?” Chen smirked. “After the game, we’ll go out to eat and the losing team will have to buy.” They nodded, liking the idea but that was only the first part. “But to make it even more enjoyable, the losing team will have to single out one player to dress up as a girl and pretend to be another’s girlfriend. How does that sound?”

“Freaky, that’s what it sounds like.” Miyoon muttered.

Hoya heard her and chuckled. “I think it’ll
