What She Never Told Him

you've fallen for me.

As the night air swallowed the two still passively lying down, one on top of the other, only the chirping of the crickets echoed through the vast fields. Miyoon’s eyes had imitated the size of the full moon dangling above their heads seeing that their lips were still connected.

She gasped and as she was about to pull herself up, she felt Hoya’s arms restraining her from performing any type of movement as they wrapped securely around her waist. What is he doing?! And although Miyoon could not detach her body from his at the moment, there was nothing hindering her from retracting her lips from his. Once she did so, she felt as though she could finally breathe again. “Wh-what are you doing?!” she stammered, voicing out her thoughts.

Hoya then bore his eyes into Miyoon’s as he remained unmoved underneath her but unlike her eyes, his were hooded with the desire to rejoin their lips.

In all honesty, he had never kissed a girl, nonetheless even hugged one as he was doing to Miyoon right now. Her body just felt sensational against his; and Hoya would have definitely been lying if he said he felt no attraction lingering between the two of them. Whether it was physical or emotional, it didn’t matter to him.

The feeling of her lips brushed up against his own was so overwhelming, so intoxicating, so exciting that he needed to experience that euphoric feeling a second time. “Don’t ruin the moment.” He murmured sincerely and earnestly as he gently brushed away the hairs veiling parts of her face.

Miyoon immediately stiffened.

However it was not after his actions but right after his words. She couldn’t comprehend the events occurring even for a second. It all seemed too fake, too unrealistic, too out of character for her to accept it.

“Let me enjoy this, please.” He whispered and before Miyoon knew it, Hoya had gently tugged his hand downwards. It had hooked the nape of her neck, making it possible for him to bring her in for another kiss.

At the sudden shift, Miyoon had clamped her eyes shut not knowing how to react or what to do. There was the option of her trying to beat him senseless—or in this case beat the sense back into him, but with the position they were in, there wasn’t much she could do. He was stronger than her as well which would lead her to failure. What’s wrong with him? Aish, why am I letting him do this?

Hoya’s grip on her waist naturally tightened as he kissed her gently. He then maneuvered his head to one side capturing another part of her lips, showering it with nibbles this time around. He didn’t know what he was doing and he just went with what felt right. What his heart was telling him to do. Next, he rolled Miyoon onto her back still kissing her deeply.  While the entire time, Miyoon just remained stiff as a statue. It was really awkward for her and when she felt his hands roaming her sides and something probing for her lips to part, she was about to pass out.

Lee Howon out of all people was trying to make out with her and what was crazier than that? How about the fact that Miyoon had to suppress the urge to kiss him back? I mean she was a woman and she had her needs. And how long has it been since she’s kissed someone?

A really, really, really, really, reaaaaaaaaaaaally long time.

And the fact that he was also a pretty darn good kisser had no negative influence either.

Soon enough all the perseverance along with the endurance she carried died off as her mind began to shut down and her body’s wants came into dictatorship. Miyoon’s eyes were no longer forcefully clamored shut but instead relaxed just like the rest of her once tensed body.

Her arms lifted up slowly and hugged his back as she nudged her face closer to his. She was still unwilling to let him have a French kiss, therefore her lips were only slightly ajar, providing him with little to no space to do what he had plotted in his mind. Eventually, Hoya stopped pestering her and moved away to plant kisses against her smooth jaw line. “Wu Xiazi, are you okay?” he managed to spit out between each one of his kisses.

Miyoon took in a sharp breath of air and when she felt his cold hand slipping under her shirt, she giggled at the ticklish feeling being created. “Ha-hajima.” She stated.

“What?” Hoya questioned befuddled.

His fingers were still grazing her bare abdomen and although it felt nice, Miyoon couldn’t control her laughter. “Stop it, it tickles.”

“Stop what?” he asked again.

After he said that, the kisses she had felt against her jaw disappeared and the warm body that was hovering over hers, radiating heat was also gone.

Miyoon snapped her eyes open at the sudden change of things and spotted Hoya towering over her with his head cocked to the side. The starry sky was above him and Miyoon raised her finger at him. “Yo-you’re up there? B-but how?” she shrieked.

“Uh, I’m up here because I didn’t fall like you did?” he explained. “I thought you might have passed out until you were laughing like a freak.” She was sure she had fallen onto him. There was no way that she fell alone… was there?

“I-I was what!?” shouted a more than confused Miyoon. She pushed herself up and supported her weight on her arms which were leaning back behind her. She looked left and then right. “But I fell on top of you.” She shook her head in denial. There’s no way I imagined me and him doing that. Miyoon’s eyes then snuck a glimpse of Hoya’s face and when she discovered his gaze was fixated on her, she looked away humiliated. Ohhhhhhhhhhh, how could I imagine that? Aish, that’s so erted of me and with him?!  Her cheeks were on fire as she bit her bottom lip ashamed with her imagination or more like fantasy.

Before she could scold herself some more, her thoughts were cut off by that tickling feeling again. She stifled a laugh and glared at Hoya. “I told you to stop it!” she snarled.

“Stop what?!” he exclaimed, looking at her with furrowed brows.

“Wait—if you’re up there… what’s been crawling up my shirt this whole time?” Miyoon stared at her covered stomach and with trembling hands she raised the hem of her shirt to discover a huge, fuzzy and not to mention slimy caterpillar journeying its way further up her abdomen. “AHHHHHH!” she screeched instinctively as she got to her feet and hopped up and down on one foot, trying to shake the creature off of her. “Get it off! Get it off!” she ordered with her shirt still raised.

Hoya’s eyes widened and he quickly took a leaf and ushered the caterpillar onto it before setting it off in the fields to be free to crawl around as it wished. Miyoon was wearing a frightened expression still with the corner of her lips strained downwards even though the insect had already been removed. Her vision remained blinded by her lids as she gathered the courage to speak, “Is it gone?!”

The latter was worried for a second but then he couldn’t overpower the smile invading his face yet again. He found Miyoon very cute and likable in such a state. She looked like a little kid, causing him to amusedly shake his head. One moment she’s laughing and giggling and a second later she’s on the verge of bursting into tears. Seriously? “Calm down, it’s gone. You can open your eyes.” He assured.

“Really?” Miyoon hesitated.

“Cross my heart,” Hoya promised.

First she opened one eye and scanned her body. Seeing his words were true, she heaved out a sigh of relief and her other lid was hoisted up so that she had access to everything surrounding her.

Miyoon exhaled, “Gosh that was so scary.” She quietly confessed.

“Wow, I didn’t think you were the type to be scared of bugs.” He chortled.

“I’m not!” the victim defended. “I was just not expecting it. I mean it’s also a natural reaction.”

“Is it now?” Hoya taunted.

“Mhm.” She nodded.

“Yeah whatever,” he turned his head to the side with a smirk planted on his face, showing how he didn’t believe her not even for a second. Then it was quiet and Hoya eyed Miyoon skeptically. She was staring at his feet, looking as pale as a ghost. “What’s wrong with you now?”

She tore her eyes from the ground and stared at him, “Y-you’re feet,” she paused and he squinted his eyes at her.

“What about my feet? Were you thinking that they’re perfectly healthy and normal unlike one of yours?” he provoked again.

Miyoon frowned at him but shook her head. She directed her finger there and that’s when Hoya felt something moving on his foot. He gulped and so did Miyoon. “It’s a snake.” She pointed out softly, trying not to alarm the slithering reptile that could possibly take a bite out of him at any given time. “Just stay still and—”

“A WHAT?!” Hoya yelled. And not taking Miyoon’s advice, he pulled his foot back and ran a good twenty yards before he stopped and examined his body. “Is it gone?!”

Miyoon didn’t say a word before she howled in laughter. She hobbled over to the place Hoya was once standing, bent down and raised a white rabbit in her hands. “I told you it’s a natural reaction!” she cackled as she placed one palm on her knee still laughing.

When he realized Miyoon had deceived him, he clenched his jaw and slapped the back of his head. You fell for her trick. Now she’s never going to let this go! Hoya marched up to her and poked her forehead hard. “That wasn’t the same thing!” he huffed.

“Hey!” Miyoon whined. “It so was! It was a natural human reaction, was it not?”

“That’s because I thought it was a snake. If I knew it was a rabbit, I wouldn’t have been worried! Why is it even out at night? Does it want a fox to eat it or something?” Hoya scoffed.

“Why are you scolding an animal? Are you Doctor Dolittle now?” Miyoon snickered as she held the animal in front of Hoya’s face. “Grrrrrrr, you better run or I will nibble your shoes off!” she teased.

“Animal abuser,” he grumbled.

“Am not!” she retorted as she set the rabbit back on the ground and watched as it bounced off into the never-ending fields. “You see, that’s what you get when you make fun of me.” She decl
