Jessica nervously walked toward Taeyeon’s room as she steadily breathed in and out. She was picking up Taeyeon today from the hospital because the doctor said that the girl was fine after all those check ups. Standing in front of the entrance door, Jessica exhaled and got her soul and body ready. ‘Why am I so freaking nervous...Goddamit..’

Jessica knocked on the door for a few times but heard no response. In the end, she slid the door opened and saw no one in the room.

Jessica exited the hospital after she got informed that the patient already left an hour ago. She sighed and got her phone to dialed Taeyeon’s phone number. After 6 rings, Jessica heard a monotone woman on the phone saying to leave a message behind; she turned off the call and called again.

No reply.

And again.

No reply.

Jessica groaned in frustration about how Taeyeon left and didn’t leave a message behind. The girl even woke up early to come and pick Taeyeon up but she’s not even here. ‘what the heck...Taeyeon..where are you..?’

An hour ago

Taeyeon signed herself out of the hospital and hastily got into a taxi car. She had this frightened expression on her face as her hands were clasped together, trying to prevent one from shaking. Taeyeon stared out the window seeing where the car was taking her. When the taxi stopped, Taeyeon paid, got out, and headed toward a building. She walked with heavy steps but halted when she saw a man in a black suit bowing to her. From there, she knew that the man’s job was to get her up to her designated place.

Taeyeon followed the man, ignoring some eyes that were on her. Probably wondering whether they had seen her or why someone dressed like her, super casual, would come to such a company.

When she reached the place, a secretary came out, bowed and greeted the girl. She told the girl to wait as she went inside to informed the inviter that Taeyeon was here. After about two minutes, the secretary opened the door for Taeyeon and welcomed her in.

Taeyeon saw the inviter's face and tilted her head down to ignore his gaze. She got seated across from him and kept a stern face while her eyes filled with fiercefulness.

“I heard you were in the hospital..Are you feeling alright?” the low-voiced with a little bit of warmth and hoarseness spoke to the girl.

Taeyeon nodded and replied back, “I’m feeling fine. Thank you for asking.”

The man could feel the coldness in her tone.

Not wanting to stay in this uncomfortable and unbreathable atmosphere any much longer, Taeyeon asked what the man wanted from her.

He looked slightly shocked but went on to answer her questions,  “I want you to work in my company.”

Taeyeon’s eyes gazed up at the man and fell into a hole of confusion. “W-what?”

The man sighed again and repeated his words, “I want you to now work in my company. I don’t know how much you know about business but you can go from there and build your way up--”

“What are you talking about?” Taeyeon interrupted.

“This is my way to bring you back...Your mother and I..We want to bring you back, Taeyeon-ah..”

Taeyeon could hear the sincere in his voice but
