Taeyeon walked into Jessica’s room to straighten out the bed since she didn’t do it in the morning. But before she does anything, Taeyeon opened the curtain; it was way too dark in the room too see anything; the light slowly peaked inside the room..

She then turned around to get started with cleaning the room. She straightened out the blanket first then put the pillow back to place. Before she realize it, there wasn't anything wrong in this room to be cleaned except for the bed.

Looking around the room to see if there’s anything to be clean, Taeyeon saw a folder near the desk and picked it up. “It’s Jessica’s,” she shortly commented, walking over to Jessica’s side of the bed and put it on her desk.

Since the sunlight was bright, Taeyeon could kinda see the things that was under the bed when she took a glimpse at it. She went over, bend down, grabbing a brown-ish long envelope that caught her attention. ‘Isn’t this...,’ Taeyeon hand moved on it own, wanting to know if it’s what she’s thinking of. She slid the paper out and her expression changed its color. ‘Divorce...paper.. ..for Kim Taeyeon and Jung Jessica..’ she read inside her head.

“Taeyeon, are you coming to watch the movie--” Jessica walked in the room to see the girl holding onto a divorce paper that Yuri had gave her the day after the wedding. She was told to give it to Taeyeon so she could sign it and then give it back to Yuri. Jessica refused since she thinks that it was too rude to hand someone a divorce paper right after they got “married”. (recall from chapter 20).

Jessica’s face slowly stretched out into shock not knowing what to say. “T-T-Taeyeon..um..you see---.”

Taeyeon interrupted, calmly said, “If you need this to be sign, why didn’t you give it to me earlier? I’ll sign it and give it to you...” Taeyeon forced out a smile and Jessica could see through her act. Who would be smiling in this situation?

“Taeyeon you don’t have to sign it if you don’t want---” Jessica stopped herself after hearing what she was blurting out. ‘What the heck am I saying? Of course she needs to sign it--’

“Of course I need to sign as soon as possible since you, Jessica-shi, is patiently waiting for that day to come,” Taeyeon interrupted, sounding a bit mad. She paced over toward her side of the bed and opened the drawal. She searched for her stamp pad and a pen then quickly signed the paper. She opened the stamp pad and pressed her thumb on the ink . She hesitated for a minute but pressed her thumb on the paper feeling sour inside.

Speechless, Jessica stood there unable to do anything. She didn’t know what to say or do. Of course she wanted the girl to sign the paper but half of her don’t..Maybe because she thinks that it was rude and stuff to do that...but...is that really the case?

“Here.” Taeyeon handed over the envelop to Jessica. When the girl got a hold of it, Taeyeon stepped past her and exited the room. Being in the same room and everything is pretty awkward after all that.

When Jessica slowly stepped out of the room, she saw the girl putting on her jacket and scarf.

Before she could say anything, Taeyeon spoke first, “I’ll be going now..”

Jessica glanced over past Taeyeon’s head and at the clock. It read: 4:31. ‘It so obvious that she’s trying to ignore me...’

Taeyeon exited the house after saying  goodbye and admitted to herself that she doesn’t feel good...She’s not sick or anything; it’s her heart that doesn’t feel good. ‘This is a fake marriage...Why bother to feel bad?’ She reminded herself, walking down each cemented stairs, while telling herself that everything is okay.

Jessica looked at the divorce paper once again. “April 19, 2020....It has to be right after my birthday...Is that suppose to be a gift of what?” Jessica retorted. “On that day, we’ll go back to normal...I won’t be able to see her again...Why do I feel so sad inside?” Laying on the sofa, Jessica rested on her stomach and used her arm as a pillow. “Kim Taeyeon...what have you done to m...e,” Jessica’s voice trailed off as her eyelid’s dragged down...

Taeyeon sat at the bench near the market as she thought to herself, ‘Why are you so stupid Kim Taeyeon... Stop. Stop loving her or I’ll...I’ll...You will get hurt later on..so.. please...Stop..’  Taeyeon sighed heavily, looking like a dead fish fighting with herself.
