Hyunseung bit his bottom lip, “Min Hye… I know what you’re going to say and I completely understand…”

“Oh! Oppa, you do? Really?” Min Hye smiled.

Hyunseung shook his head, “But unfortunately, you don’t understand me.”

Min Hye’s eyes started to water, “Oppa… what do you mean?”

“I’m sorry. I like someone else.”

“W-w-what?” Min Hye asked Hyunseung.

“I like Jenny.”

Min Hye furrowed her eyebrows, “J-J-Jenny? But you’ve only met her once for a really short time.”

Hyunseung looked at Min Hye with an apologetic look. “Not really, the first time I met Jenny was six years ago.”

Min Hye’s eyes widened, “Six years?”

Hyunseung slowly nodded his head, “I met her while we were both trainees in YG.”

Min Hye’s eyes started to water, she gritted her teeth but not in a bad way and stood up.

“Min Hye…”

“I’m sorry; I don’t think I’m in the right mind frame to talk right now.” Min Hye turned around and ran away.

Hyunseung watched Min Hye as she ran away, “I’m sorry I didn’t run after you… it’ll create more confusion for you.”

You were walking towards your house when you got a call from Min Hye. You bit your lips as you looked at your phone.

You: Sup Minnie!
Min Hye: *sniff* Umm… I really need to chat to a friend right now… *sniff*
You: What’s wrong? Min Hye, where are you?
Min Hye: I’m *sniff* in front of your house.

You opened the front gate and walked in trying to find Min Hye. You saw her sitting on the bench and crying. You walked up to her and sat down next to her.

“Min Hye, what’s wrong?”

Min Hye looked up to you, “Hyunseung likes you…”

Your eyes widened, “Eh? What are you talking about?”

Min Hye looked at you straight in the eye, “Don’t lie to me, Jenny. Why didn’t you tell me you were a YG trainee?”

“Min Hye… I-I didn’t think it was important. It’s the past anyways…”

“The past? Jenny, how can it be the past if this is happening right now?”

You didn’t answer her and just looked at her with a sympathetic look.

“You should have told me before, before I humiliated myself.”

“I’m sorry… I didn’t think it would get this far…”

“This far? How much further does it have to get? Jenny, we promised as best friends, that we would tell each other everything, including the past, whether it was bad or not but you broke that promise.”

Your eyes started to water, “I’m sorry…”

Min Hye sighed as she wiped her tears, “I can’t even be mad at you because you’re my best friend.”

“Eh?”

Min Hye smiled a little bit as she hugged you, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have thought only about myself, I’m sorry for being a selfish friend…”

You were taken aback by her sudden change in mood, you slowly patted her on the back, “Min Hye… are you okay? You should be angry at me, why aren’t you?” you asked in a confused tone.

Min Hye smiled, “We’re best friends, so that’s going to be a little bit hard.”

You smiled reluctantly, “So what’s next?”

“Oh! I totally forgot, I have a schedule at 3! Can I go in and fix up my make-up?”

“Oh… yeah…” you nodded your head as you followed Min Hye into your house.
