I walked out of the building and I couldn’t even find the energy to cry, strange but true. Oh well… I guess it’s nothing new… I have done it two times already, another one won’t hurt me.

I continued to walk home but the thought of rejecting Hyunseung was really sad. My heart was breaking but I guess I would be getting used to it by now. I starting making my way home and despondently walked into my front door.

“Oh Jenny ah, your friend is here.” my mum said as she walked out from the kitchen, “I made some kimchi pancakes.”

“Umma, I don’t want any.”

“Good because we’re almost out of kimchi.”

I walked to my room but then remembered that my mum said that I had a friend. “Oh umma, who came over?”

“Sungyeol is here.”

Sungyeol is here? I walked into the kitchen and saw Sungyeol eating some pancakes.

“Oh Jenny, I was waiting for you.” said Sungyeol as he tried to swallow half a pancake down.

“So what are you doing here?”

“Well I kind of figured out that since we borrowed the same text book, I thought figured that we were going to be studying the same courses so I was wondering if you wanted to study together.”

Oh, I never thought about that. I didn’t know he was doing pharmacy… for a singer, that’s strange.

“You’re studying pharmacy?” I furrowed my eyebrows.

“Oh, my parents want me to study that just as a safety net.”

I smiled faintly as I nodded my head, “Smart.”

“So I want to know if you want to go study together today.”

I wasn’t in the mood to study because I just wanted to be in my room and think of ways to tell Hyunseung that I don’t like him.

“Sorry, I have to turn you down. I’m having a day off today. This means no studying.”

“Oh come on. Let’s go. I’ll be extra careful with a mask and everything.”

I let out a sigh in my head and scoffed, “I doubt you would need a mask, people won’t even recognise you.”

“Jenny ah, don’t be mean to your friend.” My mum said. I can’t even find the strength go off at my mum anymore.

I turned to Sungyeol and smiled, “Alright you win, we’ll study for a while and then we’ll go home.”

Sungyeol smiled as he stood up. “Let’s go.”

I walked to my room but he stopped me, “What are you doing? I’m getting my stuff.”

“I told your mum ahead and she put your stuff into your bag.”

“Oh really? Then I guess we should go.”

“I’ll carry your bag for you.” Sungyeol lifted up my bag. “Since there’s no reason for you to think that I’ll take it and run, I think that you should just let me hold your bag for you.”

I smiled, “Alright, let’s go.” I grabbed Sungyeol’s sleeve and pulled him out of the house and started walking.

“Hey, where’s your brother?”

“Eh? Well since Teen Top has debuted, my brother has moved to lived in a dorm.”

“No wonder, I was expecting for him jump out from somewhere and tell you off for going outside with a guy.”

I chuckled a little, “He won’t even let me visit Teen Top’s dorm.”

“He would probably freak out a lot more if you said you went to Infinite’s dorm.”

“He would die.”

Sungyeol rubbed his chin and smiled, “Hmm… I would be getting rid of the competition.”

I pushed Sungyeol, “I don’t think so. Keep the competition; it’s the only way you’ll improve.”

“So apply for Seoul National University.”

“You don’t have to tell me, I already applied for that university.”

Sungyeol smiled and I looked at him with a what-the-heck look.

“I got into that university.”

“Really?” I was genuinely surprised; I didn’t actually think someone like him would have made it into such a school.

“Why do you seem so surprised for?”

“Nothing, I wasn’t suggesting anything.”

Sungyeol narrowed his eyes at me, “I know you were suggesting something. So when is your exam?”

“Next week, but if you want to be specific, in about 4 days.”

“What? In 4 days?! And you’re here dawdling to the library? Run to the library and study, woman!”

I scoffed, “I’ve been studying non-stop for the past two years, all the way up to about an hour ago. I think I’m allowed to relax for a while.” I smiled sarcastically at Sungyeol.

“Well I’m only caring for you. Anyways, if Ricky saw you out and about, where guys can just start hitting on you, he’d go ballistic.”

I furrowed my eyebrows in curiosity as I moved my face closer to Sungyeol’s and turned my head to the side as I pretended to look in Sungyeol’s ear.

“What are you doing?” Sungyeol asked in a pitchy voice.

I moved back and saw Sungyeol all read, “I was just checking if you have an earpiece in your ear where Ricky was telling you stuff. Oh, and you should probably take off your jacket, you’re burning up.”

Sungyeol touched his cheeks and started to fan himself, “Nah, I’ll be fine. Let’s get you to the-”

*I’m so crazy crazy crazy*

I took out my phone and waited for it to get to Ricky’s part while Sungyeol gave me a weird look.

*Crazy crazy crazy (clap clap clap clap mad man)*

I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was from Hyunseung oppa. I hesitated to answer it but if I didn’t, he would think something’s up.

----------Phone call----------

Me: Hey oppa!
Hyunseung: Hey Jenny, I’m free today. Do you want to go somewhere today?
Me: I’m sorry… I have to study... Why don’t you go and hang out with Min Hye. She seems like she’s been copping a lot of stress from debuting.
Hyunseung: I should, shouldn’t I? For the past month when I was trying to distract her, I’ve gotten much closer to her; I never knew we had so many things in common.
Me: *faint laugh* Yeah, you start to like her more when you get to know her more. Anyways, I have to go. Bye!
Hyunseung: Oh, study hard! Bye.

I bit my bottom lip as I tried to hold in the tears from forming. Aish… why am I getting all sad for? It’s not like I could date Hyunseung oppa anyways. It would hurt Min Hye a lot and if it hurts her, then it’ll hurt me… I’ll back away before there’s any serious damage.

I looked at Sungyeol and plastered on a smile, “So where to the library?”
