I waited at the ddukboki store that Min Hye told me to meet her. Aish… I can always count on her to be late, nothing new there.

“Jenny!” I turned around saw Min Hye running towards me. I put my hands on my hips and tapped my feet. “Sorry, I slept in.” she scratched the back of her head.

“Alright, since you’ve been busy training, I’ll let you off. So when am I going to meet Doo Joon oppa?” I smiled at her.

She looked up at me, full with ddukboki with her eyes wide open. She swallowed and took a sip out of her cup, “Yah, are you only my friend because I have connections to BEAST?”

“What? No…” I shook my head as I smiled mischievously. “So anyways, when are you going to practise at the place that’s not where all the CUBE artist practise but where BEAST practise?” I asked really quickly.

Min Hye looked at me, “I don’t think you took a breath while saying that.”

I looked at her with a proud smile on my face.

“Well, Doo Joon oppa told me that BEAST will be practising there at around 4?”

“4?!” I bit my bottom lip. I have to study at four… I rubbed the back of my neck and tried to think of how this is going to work. I’ve looked forward for this day since ages! Well not really because I’ve only been a fan of BEAST for one year. Yes, I’m a tiny bit delayed in my defence; I was training to be an actress but now that I’ve stopped, I can concentrate on studying and BEAST.

I snapped out of my thoughts and saw 4 empty plates of ddukboki and Min Hye was eating another.

“Yah, were you a pig in your past life?” I looked at her, “Stop eating, come on, let’s go to school.”

Min Hye stood up and wiped with her sleeve, “Alright let’s go.” She paid the lady and we walked off to school.

“Since you’ve been away from school a lot, I’m going to tell you everything that happened within the 16 and a half day you were absent from school.”

I took a breath in to prepare to say the things really quickly when Min Hye stopped me.

“Wait, why 16 and a half day?”

“Well… you were in science and… you got a call from your parents saying that ‘Min Hye ah, the company called and said that you’re going to debut in a group soon.’” I tried to impersonate Min Hye’s mum.

She laughed, “Whoa! You really did sound like my mum.”

I nodded my head and continued, “Then you ran out of the office and shouted out at the top of your lung.” I took in another breath and was about to scream when Min Hye’s hand covered my mouth. I looked at her and frowned. She slowly took her hand off me, making sure I wasn’t going to impersonate her screaming.

“Anyways, let me tell you everything that happened,” I took my breathe and let the words just come out of my mouth.

“Well we had four class exams, one being super easy and two being super hard and the other one was just plain weird. We also had a fitness test which you still have to do in your own time which according to Mrs Lee is during your break times and out of the nine teachers that you have, 2 said that you can catch up on your own time while the others said that you have to catch up by the end of this week but me being me convinced them to let you catch up by the end of the month. We also have a talent quest in a week and some people made bets over who would win you or Min Soo.” I said all in the one breath. I was breathing really loudly, I felt like I was going to collapse.

Min Hye looked at me in amazement, “Wow. You said that really quickly! I’m surprised!”

I shrugged my shoulders and smiled. “Well, what can I say? I have a different kind of talent.”

Min Hye linked arms with me, “So… people are betting on who would win the talent quest?”

“Yeah” I nodded my head, “I obviously put my bet on you.”

“Well, you’re definitely not going to lose your money.”

“Pshh, your singing will never beat my awesome rapping.” We turned around and saw Min Soo and his friend walking towards us.

Min Hye scoffed as she crossed her arms. “I doubt it. I’ve been winning these competitions every single year. Unlike you who can’t even get second place. My singing beats your rapping any day.”

“You wish. You’re not the only one that’s a trainee around here.”

“Eh?” Min Hye asked in a confused tone. Seriously watching these two argue is really tiring. I’ve seen this kind of thing in dramas, books, fanfics and movies. I mean, I don’t even get why they’re arguing and it probably started from something really small. I mean, it’s obvious that they’re going to end up together and I know it’s my job to get them together… somehow…

“Yah, what are you doing?”

“What?” I looked at Min Hye.

She gave me the what-the-heck look, “You just blanked out while Min Soo and I were arguing.”

“I did?” I asked in a confused tone.

“Were you daydreaming about Doo Joon again?” Min Hye asked me. Thinking about Doo Joon oppa, I started to blush.

“Come on, let’s get to school.” Said Min Hye as she ran off.

“Yah! Wait for me!” I said as I ran after her.
