When I told Key what happened, he became outraged.

“We’re supposed to get married!!” He yelled.

“I know!” I cried.

“Why would you do this to me?!?!”

“I’m sorry Key,” I cried even harder.

“We can still run away.”

“No Key, you don’t understand. If I don’t marry him,  my dad will disown me.”

“You don’t need him! You have me!”

“I know Key..but, he’s the only family I have.”

“Do what you want. See if I care!” Key yelled and stormed out of my house.

David stood there, watching the whole time.

“Ellie, you know that Key isn’t my favorite person…but what you’re doing to him is ed up.”

Hearing David curse like that surprised me. I never felt so low in my life.

“But I thought you were ok  with me getting married to Richard.”

“I was. At first. But after everything that’s happened, seeing the choices you are making is making me angry. It’s time for you to make your own decisions. Stop giving away your happiness, for someone else’s gain. You’ll be miserable.”

I never went shopping for my dress or shoes. I didn’t look at the venue or church where my wedding would be held. I just didn’t care. I didn’t care about anything. I haven’t heard from Key in weeks. As the wedding came closer, I became more and more depressed.

The Night Before the Wedding.

Reader’s P.O.V

David couldn’t believe what Ellie was about to do to herself. He still did have feelings for her, but he knew that she loved Key and what was between him and her was nothing but a crush. But she was still his friend. He wasn’t going to watch her destroy her own life, and regret it. David did the only thing he could think of. He called Key.

“Key, you still have a chance with Ellie,” David said as soon as he picked up the phone.

“No. I’m tired. I can’t take it anymore. She broke my heart too many times. I don’t know what will happen if she does it again.”

“You love each other.”

“I love her. I’m not sure if she loves me.”

“Can’t you see that she does?!  Ellie is miserable. She just doesn’t want to disappoint her father.”

“What do you want me to do?”

“The wedding doesn’t start till 6 PM tomorrow.”

“You expect me to go come all the way to New York again?”

“That’s the only way you’re going to get her back.”

The Day of the Wedding.

ELLIE’S P.O.V

The first time I saw my dress, I hated it. I hated my shoes, I hated my jewelry, I hated everything that had to do with this stupid wedding. I wanted to get everything over with.

Honey came to see me before I walked down the isle.

“You look very beautiful,” Honey smiled.

“Thanks.”

“Are you sure this is what you want to do?”

I sighed, “I’m sure.”

“Ok…,”Honey said unconvinced. She left to go take her seat.

20 Minutes Later.

It was about time for me to walk down the isle. Well here goes.

Everyone stood up. As I walked down the isle, I saw Ethan, Jason, Honey, David, Onew, Jonghyun, Taemin, and Minho’s faces. They all either had a concerned look on their faces, or tried to fake a smile to show that the supported my decision.

I finally reached where Richard was standing. Everything was a blur to me. I was there in body, but not in mind. The next thing I heard was,

“If anyone objects, say it now, or forever hold your peace.”

I closed my eyes tightly wishing for my father to say something.

“I DON’T AGREE WITH THIS MARRIAGE!” David was the first to stand.

I turned around to face him.

“I DON’T AGREE EITHER!!!” Key ran into the church.

“Kibum!” I said excitedly.

“I OBJECT!” Honey stood up.

“Me too!” Jonghyun joined Honey.

“I don’t think they are right for each other,” Ethan said.

“I as well,” Onew said.

“I don’t want them to get married either!” Taemin stood up.

“Neither do I!” Jason said.

I smiled.

“Key and Ellie deserve to be together. They’ve been through so much together,” Honey said.

I feel Richard’s  hand getting tighter around my wrist.

I made eye contact with my dad. I read his lips.

If you don’t say yes to Richard, You’re not my daughter.

I couldn’t believe what he was doing to me.

“Say yes already!!” My dad yelled, “Think of your future!!”

I looked at Key. I could tell this was tearing him apart. This was tearing me apart too.

“Say it!” My dad yelled again.

“I’m sorry Key.”

“I will take Richard to be my husband,” I confirmed.

“I now pronounce you man and wife.”
