“Well, what you did was kind of reckless, but headache needed you.” Wonho said as he leaned back on his chair, Shownu grumbled as he put on his shirt. The two were inside their office at the auto shop, they were about to close in a few minutes.

“Minhyuk has mentioned quite a number of times how that aunt of hers can be a bit too much, but, whoa.” Wonho commented, Shownu tossed away his suit and plopped down on the couch.

“You saw everything? They were throwing all these questions at her, and you saw? And you only watched?” Shownu glanced at him, Wonho nodded and popped a gummy bear into his mouth.

“I was planning to step in, but I saw you already making your way towards her.”

“I was only in that direction because I wanted to see the windows.” Shownu blinked at him, Wonho giggled to himself.

“You could have done something first.” Shownu stated.

“But I have other plans. I aim to be Chaeyeonie’s head of security.” He hummed, Shownu turned to him, he had stopped lacing his shoes.

“What?”

“I think it’s fun.”

“You…You….are a headache as well.” Shownu murmured, he stood up and grabbed his car keys.

“Off to see her?”

“I feel like I have to, she’ll hate me for this.” Shownu grumbled as he grabbed the back of gummy s from his friend.

“I didn’t buy this for you.” He stated as he grabbed his hoodie from the counter.

“Send my love to Chaeyeonie.” Wonho called out as his friend walked towards the door, Shownnu puffed his cheeks and hopped inside his Audi.

“She probably wont try to kill me. I have gummy bears, they’re adorable, she said so herself.” He mumbled to himself as he sped away from the shop.

Chaeyeon leaned back and let the rose scented water engulf her body, she didn’t bother to keep her hair out of the water and just closed her eyes. She was just on the phone with her company’s publicist and made sure that only photos of her and the clothes would be published, any talk about her boyfriend would all be removed.

Chaeyeon chewed on her lower lip.

“What am I going to do about this?” She mumbled, she wasn’t mad at Shownu. She felt a mix of different emotions, really. She was thankful for what he did, but she couldn’t help but think that it may cause problems too. And she didn’t want to cause issues or any discomfort to him.

“He’s so nice I don’t want to show my real self to him.” She mused to herself, and then she sat up when she heard her phone ringing, she unthinkingly reached over and put the phone on speaker. Her thoughts were on Minhyuk, she was sure that he was going to call.

“Min~”

“Chaeyeon,it’s mom.”

Chaeyeon splashed around the tub and she stared at her phone.

“H—Hi, eo—eomma,”

“I know we told you that we’d be off the grid for a bit, but why is your aunt calling me? Do I want to answer this?”

Great and now she wants to broadcast.

“To be honest, I don’t think you should. She’s probably going to comment about my launch and how short my dress was. You know, the usual.” Chaeyeon fibbed as she got off the bathtub and put a robe on.

“Right, how did your party go? Minhyuk sent us some pictures.”

“Of course he would. But it went well, eomma.” She murmured as she walked towards the dresser, she paused when she saw an unfamiliar car roll in the property.

“That’s good to hear, Yeon-ah. I’ll call you later, take care.”

Chaeyeon murmured as goodby and she walked towards the window, she stared at the Audi R8 with curiosity.

“Does Minhyuk have an Audi? Did he buy a new car?”

The driver’s door opened, and Shownu stepped down, wearing his usual white t-shirt and jeans look.

“Now I have to wear a bra.” She muttered as she padded back to her room to change.

“Director, something interesting has happened,”

The girl behind the marble top desk looked up from her computer.

“What?”

“A few days ago, you asked me to check on your friends, right?”

Sophia Wu smiled and nodded back, her assistant placed his iPad on her table, she leaned over and paused.

“Chaeyeon and her new line, wow.” She said as she tapped on the screen and she did a double take.

“It was deleted after a few minutes it was posted, I guess your friend wanted it be away.”

Soph was staring at the photo of Chaeyeon, there was a young man standing right beside her. He had one hand on her friend’s back as he was leaning down to kiss the side of her head.

“Apparently, from rumors, he is the young miss’s inspiration for her new line. It’s quite interesting.”

“Oh god, this smells like Minhyuk all over.” Sophia murmured she was about to grab her phone, but the girl stopped. Her brows went up briefly.

“Who is this guy?”

“No photos of him facing the cameras have been uploaded. Maybe that’s what the young miss wants.”

Sophia’s lips curled up, knowing Chaeyeon, the girl would prefer to keep things under the radar. Very secretive, but never elusive.

“You know, maybe it’s time I hit up Seoul, huh?” She stood up and straightened her denim jacket, she walked towards the windows and admired Taipei’s view before her.

“Should I schedule a flight, director?”

Sophia crossed her arms and ran her fingers through her hair.

“Should I fly over?”

Shownu paused the front door opened, he put his hand down and found a rosy-cheeked Chaeyeon looking at him.

“Is this a bad time?” He carefully asked, she shook her head and opened the door wider.

“Come on in,”

“Are your parents home? Is this okay?” Shownu looked around the doorway hesitantly, Chaeyeon couldn’t help but laugh.

“What are we, teenagers? Come inside, Son Hyunwoo.” She mused as she walked towards the living room, Shownu scrunched his nose and followed the girl.

“I know I don’t need to ask, but, what brings you here?” She asked in a light tone as she sat down, Shownu took the seat across hers.

“I wanted to apologize for earlier,”

“Hey, it’s alright. I’m not mad at you. I don’t even have the right to. Tea? Coffee?” Chaeyeon stood up, she was about to head towards the kitchen when he spoke again.

“For touching you and kissing you without asking first, that’s what I wanted to apologize for. I realized that it was wrong, and I shouldn’t have done that.”

The girl paused, she pursed her lips and looked at him.

“Will you think badly of me if I say that it’s okay?” She asked, a little dumbfounded and flustered.

“No.” His reply was quick, Chaeyeon broke into a smile.

“Are you sure you’re really cousins with Minhyuk?”

Shownu looked up to meet her gaze, Chaeyeon sighed and walked towards him. She sat down on the coffee table so that she was facing him.

“You have to realize that what you did, it just put you in my aunt’s radar. And she can be intense, you’ve seen what happened to me.”

“Are you saying that I should be afraid of her?”

“She’s extremely nosey, Shownu. People don’t like that, and I know that you’re a pretty private guy, so…” She trailed off and looked at her palms.

“It really..is okay.” Shownu stated, he was digging into his pant pocket.

“Are you sure? You really want to throw yourself deeper into the wolves’ den?” She joked.

“Because, you know, I could just tell them that you’re a friend who loves joking around and~” Chaeyeon halted when Shownu drop a packet of gummy bears on her palms.

“I originally bought you two but your Wonho oppa ate the other one.” He stated, Chaeyeon blinked at the candy then met his gaze.

“So, going back,” She cleared , Shownu nodded at her.

“I’m going to go call them and say~”

“Don’t do that. That would only worsen your problems.” Shownu shook his head at her, he opened the bag and poured the bears into her palm, he popped one in his mouth and gestured for her to do the same.

“Huh.” Chaeyeon was taken aback but she took a gummy bear and started chewing.

“So, what do we do, Son Hyunwoo-ssi?” She said dryly, Shownu chuckled before raising his fist at her.

“You want to punch me?”

He laughed before taking her hand and making her bump fists with him.

“We wing it.”

“Oh god, now I see the Lee Minhyuk in you. Can I still run away?” She mumbled back, Shownu squeezed her knee before standing up.

“You have juice in the fridge right?” He called as he walked towards the kitchen with ease.

“My skeletons are in there.” She shot back as she padded after him, she finished the gummy bears in her hands.

Shownu was grinning as he poured himself some apple juice, Chaeyeon sighed and leaned against the counter.

“Winging it, huh?”

“Yes, you’ll have me, right?” Shownu asked, Chaeyeon could only nod at him.

“Yes, we wing it. Let’s wing everything.”
