When Irene described Seulgi, you thought it couldn't be any more perfect. Seulgi is ... Seulgi. She has such traits that couldn't be described but everyone knows what you mean. She's warm, clumsy, considerate, funny, and loving all in one. She's hardworking but humble at the same time, always wanting to learn but also appreciative of everything she has accomplished. Throughout the years, you have celebrated her birthday with her and you deemed it as an honour, getting to see her grow every year and expressing your love for her through the birthday gifts you got her. You always try to do something special, even if it's only some simple things.

The first time you celebrated her birthday, you and Irene decided to pitch in to buy a simple slice of cake for her considering the both of you were only trainees and didn't have that much money. Oh well, it was the thought that counted. 

"Eli-ah, what kind of cake should we get?" 

You turned towards your guardian, head tilted in confusion so cutely that Irene squealed before pinching your chubby cheek softly. You scrunched your face in response, though you didn't say you didn't like it because you did. 

"Chocolate? Everyone likes chocolate, right? And I'm pretty sure Seulgi-unnie likes everything ..." you trailed off, looking deep in thought. Irene just looked at you with love in her eyes, ruffling your hair a little.

"I'm sure she'd like it. Come, let's buy it and put it in your fridge so she wouldn't find out." 

So you bought a slice of chocolate cake covered in strawberries and put them in the fridge you shared with your roommates, labelling it as 'Seulgi's please do not eat!'. You almost didn't get enough sleep due to how excited you were about the next day when you got to celebrate her birthday.

This would be the first birthday of theirs that you got to celebrate with them, so you were both excited and nervous. You were sure this would be the first of many. 

The next day you both surprised the bear with the cake much to her delight and celebrated the night with smiles and laughter. You were thankful that they have taken you in and treated you as their little sister, and you didn't want to spend the rest of your life any other way. 

Ever since then, you have always tried to celebrate your members' birthdays as personal as possible, spending the day with them and just generally celebrating them so they know how special they were to you. Last year marked the first year you didn't get to celebrate Seulgi's birthday at the dorms together with the members because she had moved out, so you accompanied her to her birthday filming schedule, which was the first the group has ever made.

It's close to Seulgi's twenty-eight birthday and you couldn't believe your first sister was about to hit a step closer to thirty. Every year, during her and Wendy's birthdays, all of you would always have schedules to do; whether it was comeback stages, concerts, or tours. This year, the only other event happening during her birthday was Irene's movie premiere but she still couldn't celebrate with Luvies, so she prepared something else. 

Seulgi Noodle House. 

"Hello everyone, it's Seulgi!" she opened the show and you watched from behind the camera along with the staff, smiling lovingly at her adorableness. 

"For my birthday, which is on February 10th, Seulgi Noodle House, Cheongdam branch, is open!" 

You clapped along with the staff, causing Seulgi to giggle. 

"We'll be making janchi guksu and I'll be making it for two servings," Seulgi glanced towards where you were before continuing to cook, making you smirk. 

You were sure the fans would be wondering why she was so specific about the two servings instead of one for herself or even more, considering they knew a lot of staff would be in the room shooting with her. 

"First, I'll boil the water," she proceeded to put the pan on the electric stove and tried to light it but failed in doing so, "it won't turn on..." her reaction caused everyone to laugh and you quickly made your way to her before any of the staff or your managers could, helping her with the stove. 

"You have to click this button first, Unnie," you demonstrated to her, causing her to let out a knowing "ah~" which made you chuckle. 

After it , you went back towards your seat but the director made sure you made the cut. 

"Where would I be without you, Eli-ah?" Seulgi intended it to be a rhetorical question but you being you just couldn't let that opportunity just go away. 

"Not being able to cook, Unnie!" you answered which caused the staff to laugh out loud and Seulgi to protest, yelling out a playful "yah!" 

She continued to cook, messing up along the way and being the clumsy self that she was, messing up the steps and actually almost forgetting about the food, which caused you to laugh loudly. Seulgi, amidst her laughing and running around, scolded you just like the older sister that she was.

"Yah! Don't laugh at me if you don't want to help!" 

You snickered while the staff laughed, muffling their laughs even more with their hands. "But this is your show, Unnie! You're supposed to have everything under control!" 

"But I don't!" That caused you to laugh even louder, throwing your head back because you couldn't control your body. Fans always said Seulgi was a natural comedian and you couldn't agree more. 

"Yah, dongsaeng-ah! Come here and help me!" she proceeded to instruct you with an underlying tone of playful scolding, causing the staff to laugh and gasp. They had never seen this side of Seulgi. 

You turned towards the PD and raised an eyebrow. "Can I really?" 

He just shrugged and shook his head. "It's her show." 

You looked towards your manager and she nodded, her eyes slightly squinting to show that she was smiling under her mask. "Go, your outfit is fine for broadcast." 

You shrugged, taking off your mask and stuffing it in your pocket before strutting over to where your sister was. 

"Let the professional show you how it's done, Seulgi-unnie." 

Seulgi whipped her head and gasped, her eyes comically wide in response. "Hey, watch it!" 

You laughed and wrapped an arm around her waist in a half embrace. "I'm joking. Let me wash my hands and let this show go on." 

That resulted in a very fun video for the fans to watch on her birthday and as a new teasing material for the members, Seulgi pouting all the way through your video call during the Instagram live session she did with Yeri during her actual birthday.

"You made me look bad in front of everyone, Eli-ah, not fair," she pouted at you and you chuckled softly, leaning your head against Irene's as you brought the phone closer so it would capture the two of you. You were on your way back from Irene's movie premier, on the way to a celebratory dinner the team was having. The movie was deemed a success and you were immensely proud of our soulmate to be able to show her acting skills through a big screen this time. 

"The video is lovely, Unnie, the fans have been loving it," you answered softly and Irene nodded in agreement, looking up at the screen as she snuggled closer to you. 

"El has been showing me the fans' response and they're very happy you have filmed that video, Seulgi-ah, Eli being there was just a bonus." 

You sighed in exasperation. "I guess I'll accept being called a bonus for the birthday girl..." you trailed off as they laughed out loud, Yeri cackling in the back as she showed the fans your faces through Seulgi's video call.

"You know I love you," Irene giggled as she pinched your cheek adorably, making you scrunch your nose. 

"Hm," you replied in mock displeasure, internally smiling as Seulgi and Yeri laughed once more.

This year Seulgi was a step closer to 30 and you surprised her with a cake once again, a chocolate one covered in strawberries just like the one you got for her the first time. This time though, you and Irene had more money so you could buy a whole cake, something Seulgi noticed and joked about. The cake brought a lot of memories from your trainee days and made you realise how far you've come in life, surrounded by the most genuine and loving people you could ever need. 

"Hey, it's a whole cake this time!" You glared mockingly at her as Irene slapped her arm in retaliation while the rest of the members and your dancers laughed. The members knew the story but the dancers didn't, though they concluded it had something to do with you and the leader. 

"I might just get you a slice next year, Unnie, one lonely slice," you jokingly threatened, causing the rest to laugh again. 

Seulgi whined. "Eli-ah! I'm sorry I take that back, I love the cake! Please don't take away my cake!" 

The night ended in numerous photos and Seulgi even managed to decorate your face in icing, making you chase her around the practice room as the rest captured the moment in pictures and videos. Spending birthdays with your members seemed simple but you always try to do it every year and on each of their birthdays so they get to feel special and loved. You hoped you get to do this for a long time because being with your members means the world to you. Wherever and whenever, always.
