A Day with Yeri

The Life of the Sixth Member

"Yerim-ah," you called from your room, knowing her door was already open and she could hear you with no trouble. "Are you ready?"

You heard footsteps coming in your direction and before you knew it, she was in front of your door with her infamous gummy smile. She's too cute when she's like this.

People think of her as the mischievous little sister and although they're not wrong, she's more than just that. She's a considerate, warm, loving little sister that none of you knew how to live without.

You love her with all your heart.

"I'm ready, Unnie!" Her smile turned into a concerned frown, looking at your outfit from head to toe. "Are you not going to wear a jacket? It's really cold outside."

You gave her a warm smile, walking towards her with your bag already shouldered. "Don't worry, dongsaeng-ah," you patted her head in affection. "It's near the door. I'll wear it before we go out, okay?"

Hearing your reply her smile returned, concern disappearing from her eyes. "Okay, Unnie. Let's go!"

You followed your little sister towards the living room to find Irene on the sofa and Wendy in the kitchen. They both looked up from whatever they were doing once they saw you and Yeri entered the room, and gave you both motherly smiles.

They really looked like proud, loving parents.

"Are you guys leaving now?"

"Yes!" Yeri answered while you walked towards Irene to gave her a back hug, arms wrapped around her shoulders as you gave her your warmth. She squeezed the arms in affection and tilted her head slightly to give your cheek a kiss.

"Have fun! Will you be home for dinner?" You kissed Irene's head lightly and stood up, coming over to Wendy's side to give her a hug.

"I'm taking Yeri out for dinner so don't wait up for us, okay?" You pulled back from the embrace and gave her a soft smile. "We'll let you know when we're coming home."

You heard Irene getting up from the sofa, coming over to Yeri's side. "You better."

You turned towards her direction to see her giving Yeri a hug. You could only give her a soft smile as a response. You knew it's still a sensitive topic, even until now, so you didn't want to say anything that could anger her.

"Don't worry, Joohyun-unnie," Yeri replied as she pulled back from the hug, a smile on her face though her eyes were serious. "I'll make sure we let you know later."

Irene smiled back and thanked Yeri through her eyes, and Yeri understood as she only gave her a gummy smile. You fixed your bag and kissed Wendy's cheek goodbye, walking towards the door. "Alright, Oppa's waiting downstairs," you put your jacket on before opening the door. "Let's go, Yerimmie."

You held the door open for her and waited for her to walk through before giving the parent line one more warm smile. "Bye, we'll see you later."

"Bye, Eli-ah, Yeri-ah. Have fun!" Irene gave you that special smile and you winked at her.

She only shook her head in amusement. Such a flirt.

The first place you went to was the ice skating rink and both of you were so excited you were jumping around as you headed towards it. Some fans immediately recognised you both so they took pictures of your excited selves but you didn't even care and just wrapped an arm around Yeri to tug her along.

"Unnie I'm so excited!" Yeri brightly faced the ice rink, her eyes shining in happiness. You finished paying and renting your shoes, giving one pair to her.

"How long has it been since you've skated?"

"Hmm.. too long. I don't think I can stay on my feet too long anymore, Unnie," you looked at her to see her pouting. You laughed, standing with no problem before offering your hand to pull her up.

She took it and you took her face in your hands, squishing her cheeks together slightly. She whined but didn't pull back because she was enjoying being spoilt by her favourite older sister.

"Don't worry, I'll hold your hand, okay? Let me know when you're ready to be let go."

She smiled and thought about how lucky she was to have you in her life. You were always considerate and loyal she couldn't believe people could still hurt you over their own selfishness.

"Promise?"

You smiled at her warmly. "I promise," you bopped her nose and she scrunched it slightly, making you giggle. "Now, let's go have fun!"

You spent about two hours just skating around, pulling Yeri with you. It can be said that you're quite good at it but nowhere near Olympic level though. You noticed some people took pictures of the two of you but you didn't care, knowing Yeri didn't either.

You couldn't wait to actually see those pictures later today. Fan taken pictures are usually better because they're genuine and most of the time candid, which made everything cuter to you.

After you were done, you went ahead to get lunch (Yeri actually treated you because she knew you were treating her dinner) and headed to do some shopping done. You love shopping with her because she'd be very truthful about what looked good and what didn't, and she knew your style. She could easily dress you up and you knew you'd like it.

"Unnie, I think you'll like this." You turned to see her holding up a hoodie with a simple design in your favourite colour, navy.

"And I think you're right."

"Yerimmie, would you like this?"

She turned around and saw the shoes you were holding up, causing her to light up in excitement. "Yes, I do! Can we buy matching ones?"

You grinned and winked, giving her the shoes before turning around to ask the employee for your size. "You bet we can, little sis."

"Eli-unnie, do you think this is cute?" You walked towards her side to see her holding a phone case with her designated colour and some unicorns on the back.

You nodded in agreement. "It's very you, Yerimmie. Go buy it."

She looked up at you and gave you her mischievous look. "I'm going to get us matching ones and Joohyun-unnie will be sooooo jealous."

You shook your head in disbelief but a chuckle left your lips. "I'm not taking care of your body once she's done with you, Yerim-ah."

She pouted in response and clung to your arm in an attempt to do aegyo. "Unnieeeee, come on! We'll be so cute and I bet the fans will ship us even more!"

You looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "You want our ship to be more famous than Yermseul? Are you sure?" You knew how much she shipped herself and Seulgi to the point where even the 94-liner was confused.

She pondered for a bit and you had to hold back your chuckle because she was just too cute being so serious about this discussion. You were just joking but now you really wanted to know her answer.

"No... but we'd still be cute, right?" She pouted sadly and you eventually just cooed at her, kissing her head in affection.

She was just too cute.

"Right. We'll twin then, dongsaeng-ah. Hopefully, Joohyun-unnie wouldn't notice until much, much later." She nodded against your chest before tiptoeing to peck your cheek.

"I'm so excited! Let's put it on right after I pay!"

She left your arms to do her business and you shook your head fondly. You love your little sister to bits, even if she could be annoying at times.

The day ended with a trip to the arcade where you both had tons of fun dancing on the dancing machine, to your own songs nonetheless, and playing other games. After that, you made your way to take Yeri to dinner. She got to choose the restaurant and you both settled down, trying not to be too obvious so not too many people would recognise you.

You love interacting with fans but you were tired and didn't want to show it too much, so it's better to avoid interactions altogether.

"How did you enjoy our day, Yerimmie?"

She looked up from the menu and a tired but genuine grin appeared on her lips. "I had so much fun! Thank you for spending the day with me, Unnie, I can't wait to wear my new shoes!"

You laughed and gave her a fond look, already picturing the outfit she could put on. "Let's wear them to the airport next time we go somewhere. I'll wear my new hoodie too if you'd like."

Even before you finish your sentence she had been nodding her head in excitement. "Let's do that! I bet the fans would have a field day after they find the pictures."

You laughed louder. "I think they would."

Both of you turned back to the menu before the silence was broken by her. "Unnie?"

You hummed before looking up to find her blushing. You quirked an eyebrow. "I love you, Eli-unnie."

You swear you melted right then and there. "I love you too, little sister."

Her blush intensified and she hid her face behind the menu, making you laugh out loud.

Adorable.

The rest was spent talking about mindless things and laughing over jokes, both of you not minding the attention you were getting. At this point, you gave up on trying to stay unnoticed and just enjoyed the moment with your little sister.

As you made your way to the car she nudged you which made you look at her in question. She glanced in the direction of your bag and you immediately nodded, taking out your phone to tell the rest of the members that you and Yeri were on your way home.

As you were busy with your phone she smiled smugly, feeling proud that she helped you avoid an early death at the hands of the leader. That and she wanted to have you with her as she shows Irene the fan-taken photos from your date.

Irene surely would pout and whine when she does, and she wanted to be present when you'd try to placate the leader by promising to go out with her too.

At first I wrote this for me but I'm definitely ecstatic because other people find it fun too. I hope this story, even though I can't upload as often as I used to, can still provide you with the same feeling after a long day. I really appreciate all of you beyond words can explain ♥️

Hi, everyone! I'm sorry for being so absent these past few months or even a year. I've been dealing with a lot and every time I open a new chapter to write, I always lose the creativity T_T I'm so sorry. Recently, I've just lost an uncle who loved me very much and I've been dealing with the loss. Thank you for always reaching out to me and waiting for a new chapter, I promise I will try to write soon. I also apologise for not replying to your comments, the website is not allowing me to do so I'm not sure why so I just write it here. I really appreciate all of you and I hope we can be here enjoying the stories I write for a long time. Thank you and I hope I'll see you soon ❤️
