Having your own concert seemed like a dream come true but being able to do it in your hometown is a different story. When all of you were told that you would be having a concert in Canada during Wendy's birthday, you immediately hugged your favourite unnie tightly. She let out a choked sob before hugging you back and you could feel your shoulder getting wet due to her tears. 

You let her cry as you rubbed her back, hoping you could provide some comfort though knowing that it would probably be happy tears.

"You're going home, Unnie," you whispered. 

Hearing the statement only made her cry harder, gripping the back of your shirt in her fists. 

Before getting to Canada, all of you had shows around America and even celebrated Seulgi's birthday during one of the shows. After it was done, it was time for the Canada shows. 

"How are you feeling, Unnie?"  you asked during your plane ride, eyes trained on the beauty next to you. 

She let out a sigh and a serene smile. "I'm finally coming home, Liza. I'm finally going to see my parents and sister again, it's been years since I've seen them." 

You smiled, patting her hand. "I'm so happy for you, Unnie. You deserve everything in this world and more," and you meant every word you said. 

She let out a laugh. "So cheesy. Where did you get it from again?" 

You grinned and stuck your tongue at her. "You, of course. Where else?" 

The rest of the ride was spent conversing about her hometown and what she anticipated the most. 

When you landed, you knew some fans, especially the main vocalist's fansites, would be there. The fandom had been waiting for the moment Wendy would be going home as long as the rest of you had and true to your thoughts, when you went out of the airport, camera clicks could be heard. You smiled a little at the thought of your older sister being loved before looking in her direction only to be met with a blinding smile. The cameras captured how you beamed back at her, accepting the hand that she offered and intertwining your fingers together. 

The rest of the members could only smile, happy that their main vocalist looked truly happy stepping foot in her hometown again. 

The first stop of the tour was Wendy's hometown of Toronto and the air seemed different. The excitement was thick in the air but there was a certain tint of slight sadness in it too. You just knew that there would be a lot of crying today. 

During her segment, Wendy finally let out the words that both made you laugh and tore your heart. 

"Please stop crying Mom, I can see you," Wendy giggled. 

You knew her struggles during her trainee days and even the years after debut were basically rooted in one issue: not having her parents help her cope with everything. Wendy is selfless in nature and that just made her even more closed-off when it comes to her own struggles, only letting the rest of you comfort her once in a blue moon maybe. This fact alone frustrates you immensely because you know she only wanted to fall back into the arms of her parents but she couldn't because they're so far away. 

Seeing her parents, her teacher, and her old classmates that night made you let out a bittersweet smile. Even though she would only have to separate from her family again, at least Wendy got to see them before having to go back to Korea. You hoped that settled something within her. 

Joy couldn't help but let out a few sobs during her segment where she talked about Wendy and her struggles, especially during the holidays where she and you would stay back at the dorm while the rest of them goes back home to see their families. With you being able to go back with Irene every once in a while, you didn't have it as bad as she did.  

"By being here, I hope you gain back your confidence. I love you, Unnie." 

You tried to stay strong by blinking away your tears before they could even fall, looking up so you wouldn't be tempted to cry. You saw from the corner of your eyes that the rest of the girls crying, even Irene who usually would be against crying in public, with the exception of Yeri who also tried to hold back her tears. 

The night ended with everyone singing happy birthday to Wendy even though her birthday would fall on the Vancouver show later. After the show, all of you hugged to try and revive some of the energy you had lost mentally after crying so much before having to meet Wendy's family and friends backstage. 

"I'm so happy that we could celebrate my birthday in my hometown together. You guys mean a lot to me and I don't know where I would be today if it weren't for you all. I love you so much." 

All of you smiled and you let out a laugh. "Thank you for sharing your happy moment with us, Unnie. We love you so much and you deserve everything good in this world," you couldn't help but to let out cheesy albeit true words that made your members laugh even more.

"It's now time for you to meet your family. Go, be with them and don't think about anything else for the rest of the night." 

With one last group hug, Wendy went away first to see her family with all of you trailing behind her. 

You couldn't help but stay at the back of the group because you couldn't help but miss your parents too. Oh, what you would do for them to watch your concert. 

"Eli? What's wrong?" Seulgi's voice woke you up from your pity party. 

You let out a small smile. "Nothing, Unnie. Just thinking." 

She frowned. "Why do you look sad then?" 

You forced out a laugh. "I don't wanna say or else I'll probably cry," you smiled good-naturedly, "I'll tell you later." 

"You sure?" The frown hadn't left her face and you regretted being so obvious. It's Wendy's night and you really shouldn't ruin it with your dampening mood. 

You smiled genuinely this time, wrapping your arm around her shoulder and leading her towards the direction of the rest of the girls. "I'm sure, Unnie. Let's be happy for Wendy-unnie tonight." 

With that Seulgi realised what your problem might be. She would help you later. For the time being, she could only wrap her arm around your waist and bring your frame into a side hug.

She hoped that provided a little warmth for you.
