It doesn't matter how many awards you've gotten over the past four years of your career, it's always heartwarming and unbelievable at the same time. 

When it involves big stages, Irene would be the one making the speech and sometimes the other members would add something else, usually it's Wendy who adds something in English. In music stages, however, no one really wants to hold the mic and give the thanks, so it usually would end up in chaos and someone who got the mic from the MC would try to give it to a poor victim, most of the time being Irene considering she's the leader. Looking back at this you probably took after SNSD-sunbaenim because they do the same thing. One time the MC gave the mic to you and after some stare-off with the leader, you finally relented and gave the thanks, your face turning into a smile at the end of the thought of your fans.

Although it may sound funny and happy, sometimes it's not. Your first win, all of you cried because you couldn't believe you became number 1. When you had to take the stage, you purposely stayed at the back of the group so the fans wouldn't see your crying face. You were embarrassed and amongst the group, you thought you had the ugliest crying face honestly. While everyone was in front of you and Irene saying her thanks, Seulgi noticed you weren't next to her and she turned around only to find you crying, alone, at the back of the group. She discreetly went to your side and had Wendy moved closer to Irene so you wouldn't be seen. She took you into her arms and you sobbed into her neck instead, circling your arms around her neck. She tried her best to comfort you before you had to sing for your encore. 

She shushed you and pulled back to look into your eyes. "You okay?" 

You nodded while trying to make any trace of tears disappear. She kissed your temple before giving you a side hug, leading you to the others. You kept your head down just in case more tears would fall. 

Another time, you remember you had won something and you were backstage, looking for Seulgi only to find her crying with her head down. A cameraman was following behind you, recording the whole thing.

"Unnie?" You greeted as of to not startle her before bringing her head to your shoulder and hugging her gently. 

In your arms, she continued to cry, if not even louder. 

"Hey..." You pulled back a little bit and put your hands on both her cheeks to make her look at you. "Why are you crying so hard?" 

She let out another sob before trying to speak over her cries, head still down with hair covering the sides of her face so the camera wouldn't pick up her crying face. "I never thought we would win!" 

You smiled sympathetically. "Unnie... none of us did." You brought her head up slightly, then you ran your fingers over her tears on her cheeks, trying to wipe some of it off. 

"It's okay, Unnie... It's okay," you kept saying while hugging her again and turning your body around so your face would be facing the camera instead. 

You smiled towards it before closing your eyes and hugging her tighter. "Please stop crying, Unnie... or I might cry too." 

She giggled quietly, sobs calming down after a while. "Do I look ridiculous?" 

You shook your head no, pulling back and helping her brush away her tears. You hold her cheeks again and had her look into your eyes. "No, Unnie. You still look beautiful," you smiled with your dimple showing. 

She smiled back before nodding. "Okay, I feel better now. Let's go."

She took your hand in hers and walked towards the direction of the rest of the girls. 

From then on, you had the tradition of holding hands during awards in order to calm and comfort each other so you wouldn't be crying in front of the camera too much. 

That wouldn't be good for the group's image, to be honest.
