Moments Like This

The Life of the Sixth Member

Ever since becoming an idol, your favourite thing to do in your downtime was to spend it with your members, whether it was with everyone or with just one. Yes, you already spend a lot of time with them during schedules but there's something different with spending time together outside of the limelight. The people you were in the public were characters you played, only a version of your actual selves so when you didn't have any schedule, all of you retract back to your true selves, not having any burden to look put together or act a certain way just so you would be accepted by the general public. All of you never acted fake or anything but you definitely hold back whenever you were put in the spotlight just to be safe.

"What are we doing today?" You asked the rest of the members that were sprawled all over the living room. Yeri was on her phone at the far end of the sofa with Joy next to her, also on her phone. Wendy was lying on the ground with her head on Seulgi's back, Seulgi lying on her front comfortably on the carpet. You were with Irene on the other end of the sofa with the leader's head on your shoulder and her legs across your lap, your left arm around her tiny waist. You were on your period and were feeling particularly clingy so Irene clung to you even before you had to ask, already accustomed to your mood and monthly cycle by now.

All of you had the next few days off so it was the perfect time to relax and just calm down from the highs of your schedules the last few weeks.

Joy suddenly gasped, looking up from her phone. All of you could see the excited glint in her eyes. "Let's have some picnic at Han River!"

"Won't we get recognised though?" Wendy quickly piped up, making Joy pout. You smiled at the adorable expression.

"We can put some disguises and look for an empty spot," you shrugged lightly, careful not to jostle Irene too much. "Plus, it's a little downcasted outside so there shouldn't be too many people risking to have a picnic in the rain."

The other girls contemplated the offer but you could feel Irene's nods against your shoulder, causing you too cast your gaze down at her with an eyebrow raised. She was already looking up at you and she then nodded with a soft smile on her lips, already picturing the fun and comfortable environment ahead.

You replied wordlessly with a warm smile, knowing what was on her mind. You leaned down a little to give the side of her forehead a soft kiss, causing her to snuggle even closer into your embrace. You just hugged her a little tighter.

"Well, I guess we're going?" Seulgi asked, already knowing the answer after watching the leader's response just as she was about to ask what she thought about the idea.

You nodded with a big smile and watched as your sisters cheered, getting up from their seats to prepare the picnic, already knowing their roles. Wendy was to prepare the food, Joy and Yeri the entertainment, and Seulgi the blankets. You usually help out in the kitchen but knowing you were on your period, Wendy just gave you a wink before leaning closer and kissing the top of your head, squeezing your free shoulder softly before leaving to the kitchen.

"Will you be okay, Eli-ah?"

You looked down again and watched as concern made its way to Irene's eyes. You gave her the smile you reserved only for her.

"I think it'll get my mind off of it a little and the walk would be good for my body."

She only nodded but the concern was still there so you raised your free hand to her cheek softly, smiling when she closed her eyes and leaned into your touch.

What a fluffly bunny.

"I'll let you know when I'm uncomfortable, okay? Then we can go home."

Knowing it was the best solution, she nodded before leaning up to give the closest cheek to her a soft peck. She moved to get up and offered you her hand.

"Let's go?"

You were focusing on the dough you were kneading when soft, light footsteps could be heard and you smiled, greeting the person without even looking up from your task.

"What's up, Yerimmie?"

Yeri gasped, eyes wide in amazement just like every time it happens. "I still don't know how you know it was me, Unnie. You didn't even see me coming and I tried really hard to be careful!"

You chuckled at your little sister's antics and looked up, eyes twinkling in affection. "I will always know it's you, dongsaeng-ah."

You gave her a wink and watched as pink hues decorated her cheeks, letting out low chuckles before continuing what you were doing. The silence that followed was far from awkward, like it's always been with her, but you knew the silence wouldn't last long. You were proven correct when she spoke up a few seconds after.

"What are you making, Eli-unnie?"

You hummed in thought. "I'm planning on making some red velvet cupcakes. Would you like to help?"

You looked up just in time to see her face lit up in excitement and she nodded vigorously, causing you to laugh. You nodded towards the line of aprons near the kitchen entrance before cleaning your hands to help her with the tie. You knew she knew she could do it herself but you also knew she preferred to be babied by you in moments like this, so you cherished them every time it happens.

She turned around fo you could get the tie and when you did, she turned around with an excited squeal. You pinched her cheek and she scrunched her nose cutely.

"Ready, Yerim-ah?"

"Ready, Unnie!"

After the cupcakes were done, Yeri made sure to post pictures from every angle possible and tagging you in them, making sure everyone knew you were good at this.

'Baking with Eli-unnie is always fun. I love our moments like this, Unnie. Please always feed me delicious food.'

Later you reposted them with a heart, making a promise to yourself to spend more chill time like this with your sisters.

"Eli?" You looked up from your lunch, giving all your attention to the resident y dynamite.

"Yes?"

Joy looked shy for a moment, fiddling with the phone in her hands making you raised an eyebrow. What was she so nervous to ask you about?

You waited for her, making sure she knew you were waiting for her until she was ready.

Joy eventually opened to ask the question. "Would you come with me to the dog shelter today?"

You tilted your head in confusion though you still gave her a smile. "Of course, Unnie. Will there be only the two of us?"

Joy released a relieved sigh at your answer, her posture immediately relaxing as she stopped fiddling with her phone. "Yeah but we can bring Seulgi-unnie too if you'd like."

The only other people with no schedule was Seulgi but you knew the shelter Joy wanted to go to was quite far from her house, and you didn't know what Seulgi's plans for today.

You gave her a warm smile, eyes turning into crescents as your dimple showed. "Can today be Joy and Eli day, Unnie? We can go to that restaurant you like for early dinner if you want."

Joy liked to take her time with the animals so you assumed it would take a while before you leave the shelter.

Joy lit up at the prospect. "Can we?"

"Of course, Unnie," you reached up to pat her cheek. "Let me finish my food then we can go, okay?"

She nodded in excitement. She was already excited albeit nervous about going out alone to see the puppies, so she was thrilled to have you there with her. It was going to be a good day, Joy was sure of it.

Everyone in the industry knows comeback preparations were often gruelling and exhausting, so you made sure to spend your days off the right way to get rid of all the stress and pressure. You, Seulgi and Wendy were the ones without schedule that day so after eating the lunch that Wendy had made, you proposed a very appealing activity.

"Unnies, should we go to the park and enjoy the weather there?"

Seulgi gasped while Wendy grinned, already in with the idea. "Yeah! We can take new pictures for our SNS too."

"Yeah! It's been a while since I've taken new pictures. Let's go!"

Seulgi ran off to her room, causing you and Wendy to chuckle in amusement. "Didn't know she would be that excited to go to the park."

Your comment made Wendy turned her attention towards you, looking at you knowingly. "I know what you're doing."

"And what is that?" You asked with raised brows and a smirk on your face.

Wendy shook her head though adoration was still visible in her gaze. She didn't answer your question, instead she walked towards where you were and wrapped her arms around your waist, bringing you into a hug.

"Thank you." You knew how stressed everyone was, especially Wendy and Seulgi because they received such high notes they had to perform live, so you wanted them to enjoy your day off, not thinking about work. Plus, you'd rather spend time with your older sisters outside than cooped up in your room and you figured the fresh air would definitely help. Wendy figured out what you were trying to do the minute you offered.

You only closed your eyes in bliss as you hugged her back, giving her the warmth she deserved.

"Always."

Irene had been incredibly busy for the past few months so when you knew she was free, you immediately wanted to pamper her and helped her relax. She told you she had been a little tired and all she wanted to do was cuddle and chill on her bed, so that's exactly what you would be doing today.

Irene was still sleeping so you had time to prepare her favourite breakfast before walking into her room, making sure to be light on your movements as to not wake her too abruptly. She'd have a heart attack for sure.

You put the tray on the bedside table then sat down, softly and carefully putting your right hand on her shoulder.

"Joohyun-unnie, wake up~"

You continued to her shoulder then her head, rousing her awake. She let out a soft groan before opening her eyes, greeted by your smiling figure.

"Hey there, Sunshine. Did you have a good sleep?"

She smiled sleepily and nodded, scooting closer so she could put her head on your lap. You let out soft chuckles but continued to her now shorter hair.

You let her wake up in her own time before remembering about the breakfast you had made for the leader.

"I brought you breakfast. Would you like to eat them now, Hyun-unnie?"

Her eyes immediately opened and she slowly sat up, eyes focused on her bedside table, now recognising the delicious smell that had been lingering for quite some time.

"Oh wow, what's the occasion?"

You took the tray in your hands before putting it on her lap. You shrugged. "It's your day off today and I figured we can just have a chill, relaxing day. Cuddling and watching films, and maybe your favourite tteokbokki for lunch?"

Your lips formed a grin when she began nodding vigorously, shaking the tray a little.

You laughed. "Careful there, Unnie. We don't want to spill anything, do we?"

She giggled sheepishly before going back to her late breakfast. "I think that would be great, Eli-ah. You sure you don't have plans today?"

You shook your head. "Nope, I made sure I don't have anything going on today."

Irene blushed at the implication that you freed your schedule just for her and you giggled at the sight.

"You're too cute, Unnie."

You stood up to get the needed things to have a movie day but was stopped by the hand on your wrist, making you face your soulmate again.

"Yes, my sunshine?"

She gave you an adorable pout. "Where are you going?"

You stood closer to her then pat the top of her head affectionately. "Come to my room after you're done eating so we can start our chill day, okay?"

Her pout turned into a breathtaking smile then she nodded, turning serious afterwards. "I want all the cuddles I can get, El."

She demanded so seriously, causing you to chuckle. You then proceeded to kiss the top of her head and gave her a brief but warm hug, nodding to her demands. "Anything for you, Unnie."

You were glad you got the chance to know your members behind all the flashing lights and attention from the whole country, really getting to know their real personalities. Your members are everything to you and you'd do anything in your power to make them happy. Anything.
