Summary: Taehyung feels bad because he left his wallet at home and couldn't pay

He poured some of the drink into your glass before pouring it into his own. "So how was your day?"

You smiled at him, reaching for his hands once he was done, "Good, tiring. My boss won't stop criticising me and it's getting so annoying."

He returned the smile although it looked forced, rubbing his thumbs on the back of your hands, "It's probably because you're so good at what you do."

"I wish," you snorted, starting to take your hands away from his but he held onto them tighter.

"Let's stay like this," he crumbled his nose at you, "And just talk."

"Okay," you turned back to face him, "Let's do that."

You two spent the rest of the night, just talking about your lives for the past few months, and how your jobs were going, about Bangtan and also about your friends and family. It was nice to catch up with him after so long.

He chuckled and squeezed you closer, "Well, we haven't been out to dinner like this in a while."

You two reached the counter and you waited for him to pay, looking at the large screens above, one was playing music videos while the other was displaying the menu of the restaurant. Taehyung reached into his pocket and then stopped, fiddling a bit more inside it. You raised your eyebrow and turned to him, watching as his other hand went into his other pocket, digging into it.
