“I’m nice to everyone actually,” you retorted as he came and sat down next to you.
“How come I’ve never seen that side of you?”
“I leant my notes to you didn’t I?”
“That’s just common etiquette though,” he shrugged, looking to the front.
“I don’t lend people notes, okay? Especially in a subject I at.”
“You at calculus?” he asked, amused, “If you at calculus then what does that make me?”
“You’re good at calculus. In fact you’re good at every subject. Damn it’s gonna be hard for you to choose a career path,” you chuckled, looking to him. But he wasn’t smiling, rather looking at you with some sort of expression you could only calldetermined.
“What do you want to do when you leave school?” he asked, suddenly directing the question to you.
“Psychology,” you replied, surprised you actually told him that.
“Psychology needs calculus?”
“Filler subject,” you shrugged, “What about you?”
“I don’t know,” he surprised you by saying.
These boys always seemed like they had their lives together; amazing grades, sport scholarships coming in from all directions and parents owning the largest companies in Korea.
“What? Really?”
“Yeah,” he chuckled, “Gee thanks for hiding your surprise.”
“Sorry,” you laughed with him, “I just thought-”
“That I had my life together?”
You nodded slowly, regretfully.
“Yeah everyone seems to think that, although I don’t know what made them think that.”
You snorted and he laughed at you.
“Okay maybe I do know why they think that,” he said and you nodded.
“Your lives are perfect,” you said and seeing the way his smile faltered at those words you thought to add, “In the public eye.”
“In the public eye,” he nodded, “it seems that’s the only place I ever am.”
“Except now,” you pointed out.
“Yes, except now, here with you.”
“I’m honoured,” you laughed, putting a hand to your heart, and he laughed too.
“By the way, Y/N-ah, you going to ball?”
“Huh? Uhm no I don’t think so,” you said, looking to the floor.
“Why not?” he asked and you sighed, a million reasons coming up in your head.
“The ball just isn’t my thing,” you settled with replying.
“I don’t think I’ll be going either,” he sighed.
“What?!” you almost shouted.
