You stared at the window, watching the raindrops slide down, bumping into each other, refracting the bright street lamps outside. It was a gloomy day but the atmosphere inside the cafe was lively, with the jazz music, loud chatter and enthusiastic workers. Waiting for your usual coffee and cheesecake, you opened your journal, planning your activities for the next day before resorting to draw on your extra pages. Normally you would have brought your laptop and a few books to study but on a day like this you didn't feel the motivation to.
As if on cue, the doors opened and a regular customer entered. You, yourself, were a regular customer and you knew that he came at the same time every single day, ordering the same thing every day, sitting in the same spot every day.
You flicked through your pages of drawings to find a blank paper. But your eyes caught sight of the last few of your sketches, loving the way they turned out. Every time you came to this cafe with that journal, you drew the same thing, the same person. This person whose residential seat was directly in front of yours so studying his face as you looked up was ever too subtle. You often referred to him as your cafe crush... His eyes were lighter - possible due to contacts - but they were gorgeous, making him seem almost angelic. He directly started walking to his table, his hands in his pockets, a hint of a smile on his lips as he watched the crumbling world outside with so much... awe. You couldn't help but melt right there, in your ankle boots and the humidity in the room wasn't helping either.
Was it hot in here or was it just... him?
He pulled his chair out and looked up, catching you stare at him.
You immediately looked away, feeling your cheeks heat up, your heart starting to hammer hard against your chest.
He saw me. He saw me, he saw me!
What do I do?
Should I just leave? I should just go-
"Hey, Y/N, your order is here," the barista's familiar voice spoke and you internally face palmed. Seriously? Right now? Slowly turning around, you nodded, being a regular here for years meant you were on a first name basis with almost all the workers.
"Thanks," you nodded at him and took the mug, bringing the rim of it to your lips, you
