Summary: You were his best friend, and although you tried to deny it, you started to fall... for him
You didn’t even know where you were heading. Your emotions were controlling every inch of your body and you really didn’t care.
Those five seconds kept replaying in your head and you couldn’t help your whole being get filled with rage.
But why?
He had the right to be with her. He had the right to like another girl, so why were you getting so mad over this?
You had no right to choose the person Taehyung was going to be with, so why was it that you wanted to scream after seeing him with her?
You pulled over once you reached a familiar spot, the riverside you and Taehyung used to visit all the time back when.
It was your first time being here alone, and for some reason you had never felt lonelier in your whole life.
Your phone started vibrating, and with a heavy sigh, you pulled it out of your coat.
TaeTae:
Ya! Where are you?! Did you forget??
Blinking back the tears, you turned off the display and stuff the phone back into your pocket, focusing out into the distance. Puffing out smoke, you looked to the sky and watched as the stars above twinkled, the moon overhead shone, much like the sun, and pitch blackness of it all made your heart lurch. It was all so… beautiful. So beautiful, and unfamiliar. But only unfamiliar because the one person you experienced this all with before wasn’t here.
Unfamiliar because he was the only constant in your life.
You shook your head, looking to your feet as you shook in the winter temperature.
No. It hurts too much.
Turning around, you started to take long strides back to your car.
It hurts too much to leave it like this.
Pulling out your phone, you dialled his number.
“Y/N? You’re finally calling me back?”
“Where are you?” you cut him off.
“Home,” he replied, “Wait, Y/N, are you alri-”
Before he could finish his sentence, you hung up, turning the car on and heading to his place. You were trying not to think of how he got there, however, because you knew that you were his ride. And the possibility of him having to walk home in this weather would have made you too guilty to handle.
You got there in no time (no thanks to your horrible driving and tears clogging up your vision) and didn’t even knock before unlocking h
