Summary: You and Jimin are both idols dating each other

Six months later

Your group and BTS had a simultaneous comeback, because of their acting schedules, this was the only time. This only meant your two groups had the same practice times, drove to music performances together and got ready together.

"BTS, you're on in fifteen, please come to the stage."

You turned to look on the other side of the waiting room to see them getting up from their seats, but was confused to see Jimin's seat empty. Looking around the room, you found it unsuccessful as he was nowhere to be found.

Getting out of your seat, you left the room, striding down the hallway to find where he was.

He wasn't in EXO's waiting room, or GOT7's, or SHINee's, or INFINITES's.

Finally you reached the end of the hallway and turned right, revealing a secluded room. It was your last hope, and so you slowly opened it.

"Jimin?" you asked, seeing the tall figure in front of you.

He looked as confused to see you as you were to see him.

"What are you doing here?"

"Just taking a bit of a time out before I go on stage."

"You need to go up now."

"What? Really? No, I'm not ready," he hopped on the spot, shaking his head.

You opened the door fully, revealing his face to the light.

"Jimin? Are you crying?""

"None of your business," he huffed, and started to walk past you but you stopped him, gripping onto his arm.

"I think you're forgetting something," you told him, "We might not be dating anymore but that doesn't mean I stopped loving you."

He froze, turning to look at you in shock.

"What? You expected me to put a hold on my feelings for you or something?"

He slowly nodded, "I didn't think you'd-"

You wiped his cheeks, "They need you up there, Jimin," you cut him off, "Go and splash some water into your eyes and get on stage."

When he didn't move, you sighed, dragging him to the waiting room and ordered his stylist to do something about his puffy cheeks.

"See you on the other side."

The nature of your relationship with Jimin was weird but you cherished it. Although there were times when you couldn't even look him in the eye, other times you two held hands in secret and got to share little smiles.

It was miserable.

But it was something.

You couldn't help wishing it would all be over. That you could finally fun into his arms once again, breathing in his scent, the scent which you had grown to love when you two were dating, and finally kiss him like you used to.

But you wouldn't dare to put his future, his life at risk for your own greed.

You were backstage at a performance, doing breathing exercises with your group to ease your nerves.

"Okay, heading there right now," your leader said into her headpiece and the other members nodded.

You looked up at them, confused.

"What are you guys doing?"

"What do you mean? They just asked us to get up there," the member next to you said before walking up to the stage.

You looked up at them as they all started to individually nod into their in-ears, talking to them as well. Finally, realising what was happening, your fingers started to shake as they gripped onto your in ear.

"Hello?" you tried, but to no avail.

"Uhm PD-nim?" you asked again but no answer.

You turned around, looking for someone, anyone who might know what was going on.

But everyone was occupied, holding cameras, props, ordering people around the stage and you were left, tears rising to the brim of your eyes, scared.

What if I ruin the whole performance? Just because I can't hear the song?

"Y/N?" a voice yelled and you turned to the direction of it, seeing Jimin jog over to you. "What's wrong?" his voice was filled with worry and it was so hard for you to hold in your tears.

"M-My in-ear," you stuttered, looking up to him. He searched for your eyes, staring deep into them.

"What's wrong with it?"

"It's not working... Jimin I don't know what to-"

"Don't worry," he said, his voice calming like the ocean, making you instantly feel safe. He pulled the headset from your ears and off of your body, swapping it with the one he was wearing.

"But this is yours..."

"I'm not on for two more performances, it's okay," he pat your head, "It's number 14 if they ever ask, okay?"

"Thank you Jimin, thank you so much," you hiccupped, not knowing how else to repay him for his help.

"Hey, hey," he lifted your chin to look into his eyes, "Smile for me."

You took a deep breath, shaking your head, as if to rid your anxiety, and smiled at him.

"Beautiful," he smiled back at you, "Now, get up there and strut your stuff."
