“Alright, we’re here. Don’t get out yet” Amber pulled into a parking space and got out of the car to scan for snipers

“All clear” Amber ushered Jessica, Krystal, and Tiffany out and led them into the police station. She had her gun drawn the entire time.

“Can I help you?” the police officer at the front desk did not expect to see this

“Chief Lo, it’s urgent” Amber said, flashing her ID card at him

“Army?! Okay” the police officer scrambled off to find the police chief while Amber went over to Krystal.

“It’s gonna be okay, I’ll keep you safe” Amber held Krystal’s hand and smiled at her

Krystal hugged Amber tightly and started to tear up. She felt so happy and safe with her.

“Thanks for saving us back there” Tiffany spoke up

“No problem, it’s my job” Amber smiled reassuringly

“Are you from the army?” a tall burly man came out of nowhere and asked

“Yeah, Chief Lo?” Amber peeled Krystal off of her and went over to shake hands with the chief

“Nice to meet you Sergeant, let’s go to my office” Chief Lo directed them to a secluded room at the end of the hall

“So what is this emergency?” Chief Lo sat down and turned his computer on

“These three are the Hwang and Jung heiresses and the army’s protection plan has been compromised. Their assigned bodyguards have gone missing” Amber explained as calmly as possible.

Tiffany, Jessica, and Krystal sat in silence. They were amazed at how mature and professional Amber was with this.

“Okay” Chief Lo pressed a few keys on his keyboard

“I’ve contacted your fathers. They should be here soon, we can discuss this then” Chief Lo said

“Sergeant may I ask who the bodyguards are?” Chief Lo continued to type

“Captain Kwon Yuri and Captain Kim Taeyeon” Amber recited

“Them????” Chief Lo looked at Amber in confusion

“Yes why?” Amber was also confused as to why the chief was so confused

“Why would they take part in such low level cases? I heard they were fighting in the war” Chief Lo opened up a few news articles about Yuri and Taeyeon in the war

“I don’t know, I’m not a part of this case” Amber shrugged

“You aren’t?!” Chief Lo exclaimed

“No, I don’t even have the basic qualifications to handle anything this big” Amber said nonchalantly

“Then….” Chief Lo looked at Amber expectantly

“She’s my girlfriend” Amber pointed to Krystal and smiled proudly

“Oh….I see…..miss, you have a very nice girlfriend” Chief Lo said to Krystal

“Kekeke” Krystal chuckled

“Chief, there are two gentlemen who want to see you” Chief Lo’s secretary announced on the PA system

“Send them in” Chief Lo replied

Two men in their late fifties walked in sporting crisp business suits and gold watches.

“DADDY!” Tiffany flung herself at her father and clung to him like a koala

“Hey princess…I…..need air” Mr. Hwang gasped and Tiffany let go of him

“Hi dad” Jessica and Krystal got up and took turns hugging their father

“Hello sir” Amber bowed to Mr. Jung

“Hi Amber” Mr. Jung patted Amber on the back

“Now that you’re all here, let’s talk business” Chief Lo fixed his tie and sat back down

“What’s going on? I got a call from the police telling me my daughter was almost killed at the base! Where is the bodyguard the army promised to assign her?!” Mr. Hwang fiercely questioned

“We’re not sure either. It’s strange enough that those guys would show up at the base” Amber said

“Where are their bodyguards?” Mr. Jung asked

“…..they’ve gone missing dad” Jessica spoke up

“I remember them saying something about your companies sir and some sort of investigation” Amber said

“This is getting out of hand,” Mr. Hwang whispered to Mr. Jung

“The military might be onto us now. We can’t let them find out about our business” Mr. Jung whispered back

“We can take care of this personally, l
