It’s been a week since the two couples have become official. While Taeyeon and Yuri knew it was against the rules to be dating their clients, they let their love prevail. Yuri is meeting up with Taeyeon to discuss future plans and the upcoming tasks they’ve been assigned.

Taeyeon’s office

Taeyeon was reading over a report the intelligence teams compiled for her about the Hwangs’ business and who they’ve been contacting recently. Taeyeon has to do it in her office because she can’t let Tiffany find out that one of her tasks is to investigate her fathers’ company. Their relationship has been progressing well though, Tiffany has never failed to make her happy and Taeyeon’s sweetness always brings about that eye smile.

“Hm…..Hwang Enterprises…..shipping…..banking….government?” Taeyeon scanned the document over and over again.

“That means there’s someone big behind all this….” she continued to take notes while rereading the report

KNOCK KNOCK

“TAENG!” Yuri banged on the door with her fist.

It was an inside joke between them to be as obnoxious as possible when knocking on each others’ doors. Nobody understood and always thought there was some sort of emergency but in the end, Taeyeon and Yuri would end up bursting out in laughter.

“It’s open!” Taeyeon called back

“Hey buddy” Yuri slipped through the heavy fireproof door Taeyeon had installed a few years back.

“Did you get this?” Taeyeon held up the bright pink folder

“Yeah, I was going to ask you about that” Yuri pulled another bright pink folder out of her briefcase

“It says the government is involved, look at all of this” Taeyeon pointed at the paragraphs she highlighted

“Yeah….which means there’s probably more to this than just mafia guys coming after them” Yuri looked at her own set of prepared notes

“I thought the same” Taeyeon nodded

Both soldiers went back into their reports to see if they could find more details concerning this mastermind. If the government was involved in this too, that meant for more trouble.

“Taeng, look here. It said that the Jung Corp’s Chairman had ties to the defense department” Yuri noted

“Yeah the CFO from Hwang Ent. used to be a lobbyist for the nuclear commission” Taeyeon cracked her knuckles

“There’s no way those CEOs don’t know this” Yuri added

“Wait, look here. It says that in 2003, there was a joint banking project between the Jungs and Hwangs” Taeyeon pulled up a news article on her laptop

“The money had to come from somewhere though…..” Yuri trailed off

“Mafia” both of them said at the same time

“The Hwangs are good at what they do in banking, they have all the connections needed to circulate the mafia’s money for them” Taeyeon said

“And the Jungs have a lot of ties with top government officials” Yuri said

“And the mafia needed just that to ship in their batch of weapons, drugs….nuclear weapons” Taeyeon paused

“They’re working for the mafia to bypass the government’s security” Yuri finished Taeyeon’s sentence

“But it was going so well since no one has found out about it yet” Taeyeon scratched her head
