THIRD PERSON'S POV

The wedding is scheduled on the eighteenth of April. Yes, on Jessica’s birthday. Myungsoo told her about it and she’s surprised and happy when he told her that he decided to marry Krystal on Jessica’s birthday which literally means that Donghae wants to marry Jessica on her birthday.

Everything seems to be really making her happy. First, Donghae took her to Ed Sheeran’s concert in Seoul in which she really enjoyed. She sang her heart out with the singer while Donghae admired her perfection. She’s really a simple yet lovely woman. He couldn’t help himself but to fall in love with her even more. She thanked him for like a gazillion times already and she just can’t help her fangirl feels. Donghae just fulfilled one of her wishes and that’s to see one of her favorite singers performing live right before eyes. And now, knowing that her “sister’s wedding” is scheduled on her birthday makes her really happy.

“My baby seems so happy. Tell me about it.” Donghae just came out of nowhere and s his arms around her waist and kissed her neck that sent tingly feeling to Jessica.

She turned around to face him. She gave him a smile before kissing the tip of his nose. “Everything that’s going on makes me happy ─ especially you.” She giggled.

She turned around again to face the chocolate pancake she’s cooking. “Myungsoo told me that the wedding’s scheduled exactly on my birthday! Can’t you believe it?” Jessica shared the good news as Donghae remained hugging her from the back and rested his chin on her shoulder, watching her cook the pancake.

“He told me the same thing yesterday and yeah, I think it’s a good idea. I bet Krystal will be surprised.” Donghae replied while checking out her reactions. She was smiling all the time and believe it or not, his heart is jumping in joy by just seeing her happy.

“Are you done with the wedding preparations, baby?” he asked her in his husky voice as he snuggled his face onto her neck. It tickles her, to be honest, but she remained still. She knows how busy Donghae have been since he became part of their company. Soonkyu assigned him as the new COO of their company and she sees how busy he gets in that position.

“Hmm,” she replied while smiling. “Thanks for Mommy’s help and also for Myungsoo’s mom. Tiffany helped her with the invitations, though.”

Donghae chuckled. “I’m sure the wedding’s going to be the wedding of the year.”

He smirked while thinking something in the back of his mind. If only Jessica knows what’s really going on. He knows that she’ll just be happier when she knew that she’s the one who’s going to marry the one she loves instead of Krystal.

Jessica nodded in a cute way.

Donghae gave her a peck on the cheek before removing his arms around her tiny waist. “You look good in my shirt, J.” he whispered right in her ear, still using that husky voice of his.

His touch never failed to send electrifying sparks throughout her body. Every touch feels like she’s being electrocuted and she had always loved the feeling of his touch. His breath tickled her ear that made her giggle.

The both of them just finished eating their breakfast when he started staring at her intensely. He was just staring at her and when she found out that he was, she started staring back at him. That led into a staring contest between the two of them. It lasted for God knows how many minutes but when Donghae asked her, the so-called contest ended eventually.

He cleared his throat before standing up to wash the dishes. “What are you going to do today?”

They were at his pad. Jessica decided to sleepover because she just felt like sleeping over. Plus, she missed him after being away for two days for a business trip in Jeju. She fetched him at the airport last night and he was about to drive her home using her car when she told her to just drive straight to his unit because she felt like sleeping over.

“I don’t know? Maybe we could start preparing for our wedding? Besides, I’m already done with Krystal’s. When do you plan to marry me?” Jessica grinned like an idiot even though his back was facing her. He turned his back and stopped what was he doing. He smirked.

“Next year?” he sounded unsure so she won’t notice.

Jessica pouted. “Why can’t we get married sooner or later?”

Donghae chuckled and continued washing the dishes. “You’re really that excited, huh?

Jessica frowned and furrowed her brows. “Why, is there a problem with that? Of course I’m excited that I just can’t wait for next year!” she pretended to be upset and looked away.

Donghae turned to look at her and finished washing the dishes. When he was done, he dried his hands with a clean towel and approached his upset fiancée. When he got near, she abruptly stood up and went to sit on the sofa, crossing her arms while her eyebrows were still furrowed. He chuckled upon seeing her act like a child. He likes this side of Jessica. He likes it when she’s being too cute.

He went to sit beside her and tried making her smile but she won’t. He shook his head and let out a chuckle.

“What’s so funny?!” she asked, glaring at him.

“You,” he answered. “You’re so cute. I’m afraid I couldn’t get a hold of myself anymore.” He laughed upon seeing her face turned red.

She kept on hitting him on his chest and on his arms. “What the hell are you talking about?!” she kept on yelling the same thing over and over again while Donghae just kept on laughing at how cute she is.

“And what are you so mad about?” he asked her back.

She stopped and her face turned sad. “I just thought that maybe you don’t want to marry me anymore. We haven’t talked about our own wedding yet. I don’t even know when will be our wedding. I’m just thinking that maybe, you’re just afraid to tell me that you don’t want to marry me any─”

He cupped her face and hushed her. “What makes you say that? Just because we haven’t talked about it yet doesn’t mean I don’t want to marry you,” He told her as he looked directly to her eyes. He sighed, eyes never leaving the beautiful sight in front of him. “Listen. When I say I want to live the rest of my life with you, I really want and whether you like it or not, I’ll marry you and you’ll marry me. End of conversation.” He smiled before claiming her lips.

Both of them were watching reruns in the television before a ringing phone interrupted the silence between them. It was Jessica’s and her mother’s calling her. Donghae smirked as he stood up from the sofa and walked into his room.

Jessica watched him leave to his room. She couldn’t help but to smile by just staring at his figure. She shook her head as she picked up the phone. “Good morning, Mommy! How’s your day so far?” she greeted cheerfully.

She could hear her mother’s feminine laugh from the other line. “By the looks of it, my daughter seems to be having a good day. Mommy’s having a good day as well.” Mrs. Jung replied.

Jessica couldn’t help but to smile. She’s having a good day indeed. She doesn’t know why but she felt good having a good day. Maybe it’s because she woke up at the right side of the bed? Or because she actually woke up seeing the one who makes her happy the most beside her first thing in the morning? Either way, she’s happy. That’s what matters.

“It’s good to hear that.” Jessica commented.

“I heard from Tiffany that you weren’t in your apartment? Where are you, though?” her mom asked. She bit her lip. “Perhaps, are you with Donghae?”

She was kind of hesitant to answer. She nodded as if her mother could see her doing that. “Yes, Mommy.” She answered like a little girl.

She heard her mother giggle. “Aigoo, my daughter’s a grown-up now. Are you practicing how to be a good wife now?” her mom teased.

“Mommy!” Jessica called and laughed a bit. It’s cute to hear her Mom giggle like that.

“I’m just checking on you, baby. Don’t worry, it’s a good thing that you’re training yourself how to be a good wife to your soon-to-be husband since you’ll get married soon.” Her mom told her. She just nodded.

“Thank you, Mom.”

“Oh, before I forgot. I have this new collection to launch for Winter and Fall, want to work with me?” her mom offered and her eyes instantly glimmered upon hearing what her mother had just said.

“Of course I want to! It’s an honor!” Jessica immediately agreed.

Her mother laughed a bit. “I know you want to. I’ll go ahead, sweetie. Have a nice day ahead!”

“Yes, you too. I love you, Mommy!”

“Love you too, baby!” Her mom bid goodbye and ended the call.

It was indeed a good day.
