Najung’s eyes twitched slightly as the man seated across her rambled.

Her brother was tall.

The two guys she lived with were both tall, Kris and Park Chanyeol.

Jackson and Mark’s height were respectable.

Kyungsoo was her squishy.

But the man before her, she shook her head as he continued to prattle on about his business and his family.

She was taller than him by a few inches, but he talked. A lot.

And that wasn’t Najung’s favorite trait at all.

She usually appreciates tall men.

“How about you, Najung-ssi? What are your hobbies?”

I scream at night because of my nightmares. And I scare my brother’s girlfriends with my Rottweiler.

Najung almost smiled, then she turned to her left

“Kris, I~” She hlated and winced.

Right.

Kris wasn’t around.

“I’m really sorry, but I can’t do this. I was just forced to come here.”

The male before he smiled oddly.

“You think I wanted to meet up with a misfit like you too?”

Najung smiled.

“I don’t think so, but there’s one thing I’m sure of,” Her phone buzzed, she glanced down and read the text messaged. She smirked.

“I don’t think you grew enough. Dwarf.” She mused before standing, then she left.

Najung walked to the front desk and the lady handed her a key.

“Hey, jie.” Tao answered.

“I love you, didi.” She grinned before ending the call. Najung stepped out and found a red Ferrari Spider waiting for her.

“You want her to move?” Kris asked, he was speaking with Jaejoong via phone call.

“Yes, I would like her to rest. Maybe a few weeks in China. I’ve arranged a house for her to stay in.”

Kris’s jaw clenched and unclenched.

“I can arrange a team to join Najung in China, please send me the address.”

“Wait..you’re not going with her?”

“Yes, I’ll stay here and complete the security detail of the house.” Kris replied, he glanced at his iPad, then he noticed a small dot blinking on the screen.

Kris smiled.

“I need to go, Najung’s on the run again.”

Najung put down the can of juice and leaned against the bench. She looked at the serene Han River and hugged herself.

She didn’t like dreaming about her mother.

She didn’t like remembering running away.

She closed her eyes briefly, then she felt a presence beside her.

“Real smooth.” Kris said quietly.

“You shouldn’t be out, you have a cold.” She frowned at him.

“I know, but I happen to have detected you escaped again.”

“I texted Chanyeol just a few moments ago.” She murmured.

“You’re wearing sneakers today, that only means one thing, you plan to run. You can’t trick me.” Kris mused while rubbing his palms together.

Najung sighed, giving up.

“Did oppa talk about China?”

“Chanyeol did say that you made the man angry. How was the blind date?”

“Kris.” She groaned, Kris smiled.

“He did.” He nodded.

“…So?”

“You’re staying at Beijing.”

“Just me?”

“Chanyeol.”

“You?” Her brows rose.

“I can’t go.”

“Why?”

Kris just shook his head.

“I have to make the house safer for you to stay in.”

“You actually think that just because it’s a country that speaks another language I won’t be able to sneak out?” She challenged, Kris shook his head and cupped both of her cheeks.

“You won’t sneak out, I’m sure of that.”

Najung’s eyes narrowed slightly and she pulled away.

“You’ll never know.” She mused, Kris turned to her.

“You don’t look so good yourself, you should sleep.” He said.

“Maybe it’s taking a toll on me..after all these months.”

Kris sighed.

“Na, if you’re not ready to talk, don’t. Don’t force yourself.”

“But..what if I lose my chance? What if they get to me first?”

“They won’t you have me. I’ll protect you.”

“He has no plans of going home.” The middle-aged lady said with worry. Her husbad remained quiet beside her.

“We need him to come home. We need him right now.”

The two males before them bowed politely.

“I need you to find out where he is and whom he is with. And follow him around if you shall. I want my son to come home. He’s been hiding long enough.”
