HIS & HER POV:
I didn’t mind the heavy downpour or the fact that I was drenched, weary, and highly emotional.
I just wanted to run…run away from everyone, everything, and most especially, away from him. I was starting to slow down but the stubborn me won’t give up.
I kept running. I have to go after her. I NEED to catch up with her. I summoned up every strength I have left to run as I called out her name.
I could hear his voice drawing near, the distance between us closing in. I tried to run faster when I felt strong arms enveloped me into a warm embrace.
“Stop! Please, just stop. Stop running away from me, Hyun.”
I tried to wiggle free from the backhug that was starting to make my knees go jelly and my heart pounding like crazy. Realizing he won’t let go, I stomped on his foot and tore myself from the comfort of his embrace.
“I can’t…I’m afraid…”
“What are you so afraid of Hyun?”
“You..me…us….this.. I’m afraid that one day you’d wake up and realize that I am not that special…that…that, I’m just a girl..”
“And I’m just a guy! See? That’s why we’re perfect for each other! I’m just a guy and you’re just a girl, so it’s about time you stop running AWAY from me, but TOWARDS me.”
Foreword
This is my first fanfic, like EVER. I’ve had the plot and the details all worked out but my mind just seems to go blank whenever I find the time to put it in writing.
The story is divided into 3 parts. The first one is called Summerain (yes, it is intentionally spelled that way) and consists mostly of flashes between past and present. This one contains all the angst, although not that much. The second part called, Winterfalls delivers all the fluff (you have to read part 1 in order to appreciate the second) , while the last part, Spring Drizzle would be a balance of both (perhaps the shortest part too). The timeline might be confusing at times but please bear with it.
This is not your ordinary, but at the same time, it is your ordinary love story. I didn't want to write something with the usual third party clichés second male/female leads pining over the OTP (even if we all know that is hopeless), or meddling parents. I just wanted to write a story wherein the OTP's antagonists are themselves. Everyone and everything are all in for their romance, except for them, thanks to, denial & fear of losing the friendship. This is a light, fun, read, not meant to be taken so seriously. I think you will be just as frustrated as the OTP's friends & family in this story because of their stubborness. Other than that, I can guarantee you that there will be none of the "makjang" plots (except maybe, one?).
