Jonghyuns Point of View:

          As soon as I sniffed I regretted it all of the new aromas of the princes were overwhelming. The 12 princes filled in and I couldn’t help feel a ping of jealousy. Why couldn’t Taemin have been born a girl like they expected? Why were these princes able to marry his beloved Kitty if they didn’t know a thing about her? Only if we hadn’t been born so close to the 300^th year, then maybe I could be one of her suitors… All of these thought ran through my head as the butlers began to close the door locking me in with the scent. I held back his gag as Onew began to start the introductions. As I scanned the line of the Eastern Kingdoms royalty, my eyes stopped on Kitty at the end of the line. She was staring at an invisible space in the center of the room, something she did when she was thinking. I loved it when she did that but luckily Minho also noticed and took her head out of the clouds just in time for her introduction. My eyes couldn’t help but watch her small but graceful movements, but sadly they were interrupted by an obnoxious meow coming from one of the princes, and as expected she went from a ray of sunshine to a figure as cold as ice. I watched her tail flick angrily from across the room. My eyes slowly slid away from her now frightening figure to the prince that decided to make fun of her name. I eyed the back of his head hoping to bore a hole in it and didn’t notice Kitty slip out of the room.

“Jonghyun, Minyoung please find Kitty.” The Queen said pinching the bridge of her nose. I nodded and made my way to the door I assumed Kitty slipped out by following her scent. Just before the heavy doors closed I heard one of the princes whisper to the other

“No self-control.” I gritted my teeth at that comment. Maybe her brothers should have let Kitty rip them to shreds. I smiled at the thought. Following the scent, i realized it leads to coat closet. I opened the door and there she sat, looking up at me with those big grey eyes. She sighed and smiled. Slightly amused and relieved I asked

“What are you doing?” She looked up at me again this time slightly embarrassed.

“Hiding.” Of course she manages to make this the cutest sentence ever. I smirked.

“Move over.” I said and she quickly obliged. I sat next to her and closed the door. She looked at me obviously confused.

“What are you doing?” she said repeating the question I had asked her only moments ago.

“Hiding with you.” I said. Part of my duty was to always watch over and take care of her and at the moment I knew immediately bringing her back would only scare her. She pondered this for a moment before asking.

“Oh….shouldn’t you being taking me back to the ball room?” I shrugged figuring it was the best answer.

“Do you want to because all they said was to find you and I did, they never said I had to take you back.” I answered and honestly it was true. She laughedand hearing her laugh was one of the most beautiful things to me at the moment. Deciding to amp it up I added “Plus it’s actually kind of nice in here.” I turned and examined the first coat I saw, I could smell the Queens scent coming off of it. She nudged me with a smile spread across her face. I looked at her “What?” I said and smirked at her action. I remembered her nails that served as a warning and as I took her hand closest to me, her left, and examined the color. It was a bright yellow. I smiled. So she’s happy being with me….talk about an ego boost. I could feel her stare on me and I decided to test to see how far she’d allow me to go when it came to skinship, since technically we were already holding hands. I lifted her hand up to my nose and let her scent fill my nostrils. She always smells like peppermint and flowers I thought. Before I knew it her scent was overwhelming me, but in a good way, and I couldn’t help but bring her hand to my lips. Realizing that she might not be okay with me doing this I looked at her, but all I could read from her face was shock and…..curiosity perhaps? I let my lips linger on her hand when I saw her blush bringing color to her paler than normal face and then smirked pulling away. She looked at her hand with a cute little confused expression on her face, I couldn’t help but smile and pinch her cheeks.

“There now your back to your normal color.” I said indicating her now pink cheeks. She quietly snorted. When she looked back at me her eyes searched my face. “What?” I said confused at her intense gaze.

“Your one unusual man, Kim Jonghyun.” She stated. I shrugged. It wasn’t a lie. I grabbed her hand and pulled her to her feet. Light as a feather I noted. I smiled at the closeness that had to be kept because of the lack of space. I tilted my head down a bit so she had no choice but to look at me.

“Now let’s get you back to your maid.” I said keeping the distance as close as before. Outside we heard Minyoung call for Kitty again. We looked at the door but my gaze quickly returned to Kitty. She turned back to me and I placed my hand on the knob, locking eyes with Kitty as I pushed the door open, the light blinding us slightly but I could fairly make out her silhouette and features. The light hitting her in all the right places making her look like an angel. My sweet kitten how am I going to ever learn how to let you go?
