Best. Present. Ever.

You gazed about your home with a small sigh. It was Christmas Eve yet you couldn't help but feel down. For the first time in your life you were going to spend Christmas alone. Your father was still on a business trip and your brother was stuck in the States. You wanted to ask Seunghyun to keep you company but you knew he had a family of his own and it meant the world to him to go home and see them since his idol life kept him away so often.  You considered asking if you could tag along with him but the thought of intruding on such a family centered holiday scared you and so you decided against it.

In the afternoon you went out and visited your mother's grave and stayed with her as long as you could, not wanting to be alone. But eventually the air grew too cold and you were forced to return to your empty house.

By the time you returned the sky was darkening. You stood outside the front door for a while, watching the sun dip behind the trees before turning around and opening the door with reluctance only to yelp when your greeted by the smiling face of your boyfriend.

"S-Seunghyun..." you stammered, clutching the front of your jacket as your heart pounded in your chest, Seunghyun grinned cheekily and let out a laugh as you asked, "Just what the hell do you think you're doing here?"

"I wanted to spend Christmas with my girlfriend, duh~" he replied pressing his lips to your forehead and leading you into the house.

You managed to glare at him despite the furious blush on your face, "What about your family?"

He poked your forehead and grinned wider, "I visited my parents today and tomorrow we're going to see them and Sehyun-ah together~"

"What?!" you exclaimed, eyes going wide.

Seunghyun blinked innocently at you, "What? I'm serious about you and I've already met your father and brother, don't you think it's about time?"

You bit your lip, "I guess you're right..."

"I know I am~" he replied, taking your hand and smiling at you, "But don't worry about that for now, I need to show you my present!"

"Seunghyun!" you whined, "You didn't need to get me any..."

Your sentence trailed off as you entered the living room and Seunghyun squeezed your hand tightly as he whispered in your ear, "Merry Christmas~"

You felt your eyes sting and you couldn't help but run forward into the open arms of your father with a yell of, "APPA!" your brother came from nowhere and wrapped his own arms around your back.

Seunghyun watched the group hug from a distance smiling proudly as you cried with happiness. After a few minutes you turned around and flashed Seunghyun a watery smile, "How did you..."

"I planned this for a while," he explained with a prideful little grin, "I paid for their tickets and all that so don't worry."

Your brother grinned, sending Seunghyun an approving look, "This kid really cares about you a lot, [Name]-ah...I think he's a keeper,"

Seunghyun laughed and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly as you sent him a warm smile and replied, "Me too..."

Your father gave a hearty laugh and clapped, "Now, now...enough with this mushy business, let's get to the party!"

You laughed as your brother whooped and Seunghyun awkwardly made his way toward you. You grinned at him and closed the space, lacing your fingers together and leaning on him and whispering a soft, "Thank-you..."

"Anytime...Merry Christmas, [Name]-ah..."

You smiled, this was a Christmas you definitely wouldn't forget.

Ah, I meant to post this yesterday but I ended up ah, I don't know.

It still counts as a Christmas gift though ^^
