"Hey Abby, did you count the inventory?" I asked one of the girls who worked for me.
"Yes ma'am. The records are on your desk. I didn't fill out any of the order forms for new fabrics and such though because I haven't exactly learned it yet." She said.
"Oh no worries. Eli and AJ knows how to do that, I'll ask them instead. Can you please call them to come to my office?"
"Right on it ma'am."
"Thanks Abbby." I said as I walked to my office.
As I got to my desk, I looked over the inventory and decided how much fabrics, tools, and other things we needed to order. Just then, Eli and AJ bursted into my office.
"Yoooo ____! You called us?" AJ screamed as him and Eli jumped onto my office couch.
I rolled my eyes. "Do you guys not know how to knock?"
"You said to only knock if your door was closed Miss." Eli said
"It WAS closed idiots."
"Oops, too late for that." Eli said. "Anyways, so wassup?"
"I need you guys to fill out the order forms and find out what we're low on and what we need to order."
The guys then coughed. "Say what??! That is not our job!" AJ said.
"Yes I know, your jobs are to create music and DJ at fashion shows but the rest of my staff are busy. Since you guys know how to do this, shut up and just do it."
"You can't make us" Eli said
"You guys will get paid." I said. As soon as they heard the word 'paid' both of them jumped off the couch with huge smiles on their faces.
"We'll get right on it!" They said as both of them grabbed the forms off my desk and rushed outside.
Those idiots.. I knew they'd do it for money.. Such great friends I have.
The rest of the day, I was stuck at my office, filling out paper work. Worst part of my job!
After work, I grabbed dinner with Eli and AJ. We went back to my apartment to eat and watch TV.
"Nothing's on TV! This !" Eli began whining
"Lemme see the remote" I told him as he handed it to me. "How about Law and Order?"
"Ehh, that'll do for now." AJ said
We began eating until suddenly I got a text.
I need you.
I stood up and put my food down. Eli and AJ looked up kind of startled.
"What is it?" Eli asked
"I gotta go"
"But this is your apartment."
"I know. He texted me though." They became silent as they knew what I was talking about.
"Do you really have to go..?" Eli asked.
I got up as I grabbed my purse and keys. "Yeah, I really do."
"It's just one night. It won't hurt you."
"We've already talked about this. I'm going and that's that."
"Bu-"
"Goodbye." I said as I cut Eli off.
They both sighed.
"Alright see ya" AJ said.
As I got into my car, I took my phone out and texted him back.
On my way.
