"So that's how my new life began." I said as I finally finished telling my story to Eli and AJ. 

It took them a while for all of this to sink in. 

"We didn't know you went through so much with him.." Eli said. 

I looked up and saw the sympathy in their eyes. I smiled to assure them I'm okay. "It's okay. It's all in the past. I'm over it now." 

"If you were over it, you wouldn't let the past stop you from being happy." AJ said. 

"I am happy." 

"I mean relationship wise. Because of the past, you stop yourself from getting to serious in relationships. In the end, someone is hurt and your all alone." 

"I just don't feel like tying down to anyone, okay? I will when I'm ready."

"And when will that be?" Eli asked. 

"When I get there, I'll let you guys know." 

"And what about Kevin?" Eli asked. 

"What about him?" 

"Are you sure you're over him?" 

"Yeah, why?" 

"Considering you and Kevin were together for three years and have been through a lot, it's hard to believe. I mean you can't just forget someone like that. Yeah it's been five years but everyone will always have that one person they can never forget and will always love." AJ added on. 

"I think all that psychology stuff is getting to your head bro.." I said as I laughed. Both of them frowned slightly which made me stop. I could feel the seriousness they felt so I smiled. "Look, I'm fine okay? Don't worry about me. The day I break down and cry, that's when you worry. But look at me now. Considering I bumped into my ex-boyfriend and happen to work with him everyday now, I'm still standing strong and smiling." I said as I pumped my fist up in the air. 

Eli and AJ hesitated for a moment but cracked a smile. "Alright.. We don't fully believe you but we'll go along with it anyway." AJ said. 

I smiled and pulled them in for a hug. "That's all I need to know!" I said as I felt their strong muscular arms wrap around me. "Y..yahh! Too.. Ti..igh...tttt!!!" I screamed as I tried to gasp for air. 

They laughed and let go of me then patted me on the head. "It's okay! We won't let Kevin hurt you anymore! And if he does, he'll definitely regret it! Right Eli?!" AJ said as Eli nodded while they began to laugh all evil-like.

I smiled at their dorkiness. After a while, "Okay, let's eat! I'm hungry!" Eli said as he rubbed his belly. 

"I second that!" AJ screamed as he raised his hand. 

Both of them sat down on the couch as I walked to the kitchen to prepare them something to eat. 

It's good to know that they finally know everything about me. My two bestfriends. Who I love and will always stand by them. Forever. 

KEVIN'S P.O.V

As I got back to my apartment, I set my keys down on the counter. 

I cooked myself dinner, showered and got into my pajamas. 

I climbed in bed and stared at the ceiling. Just thinking. 

Has it really been five years? Only five years? Feels like forever to me.. 

I can't believe she's back. The woman I have always loved and cherished is back. 

If only I had appreciated her more when she was here, maybe we would've started our own life by now. Be married. Have kids. 

Why was I such an idiot back then? 

Why was I so clingy? 

Why did I treat her so horrible? 

Why did she even stick around for three years with a fool like me? 

How did she even put up with me?

Who'd ever thought we'd reunite once again.. Call me crazy but I think it's fate. 

Damn.. I think I am getting crazy. 

I'm even talking to myself.. Arghh! What the hell is wrong with me!? 

Come on Kevin! Think! Think! Wait, stop talking to yourself! That's weird! 

Seriously Kevin.. Stop! *mentally slaps myself* Ow.. now that hurts.. 

Now I'm slapping myself? Seriously?

I guess I have nothing better to do than talk to myself. 

I closed my eyes and began to think. But her face kept popping up every time. 

Dammit ____! Get out of my head!!! 

Well that's not working.. Maybe I should slap myself again? *slap* Ow.. Okay that didn't work. 

This is just getting weird again. Ugh! Forget it! 

I decided to just close my eyes and let my mind drift off to where ever. 

Apparently, my mind wants to drift off to the past.. 

The past.. That day.. The day she left me. That day flashed before my eyes.
