Chanyeol’s POV

Oh no… Not her again. I knew Hara hated her. Naeun walked over to the table and I straightened up.

“Oh, hi Naeun.” I said and glanced at my almost finished ice cream.  

“Hi Chanyeol. What are you doing here alone?” She asked me as she stood next to the table with a little exhausted dog by her feet.

“Eh…” Damn it, I could might as well tell her the truth. “Hara canceled.”  

Naeun rounded her eyes. “What? Were you supposed to meet and she didn’t come?”

I shook my head. “Not like that. She texted me and said she couldn’t come, but then I had already ordered my ice cream so I just figured I’d finish it.” I shrugged slightly.  

“Oh… Well in that case, may I join you?” she asked with a little smile.

I raised my eyebrows. If Hara could see me talking to her number 1 enemy I’d most likely become her number 2. Or number 3, if the number 2 spot was for Baekhyun.

“Eh, sure.” I said and she pulled out the seat that was supposed to be for Hara and sat down while chewing on her ice cream.

It was quiet between us but it wasn’t really awkward silence, it was just…quiet.

I could see on Naeuns face that she had something on her mind. She was looking with some kind of empty intensity at a tree a couple of meters away from us while still chewing on her ice cream.

“Hara doesn’t like me, right.” She said, more as a statement than as a question.

I was surprised that she all of a sudden spoke, and she still didn’t look at me, her eyes were still focused on that tree.  

I nodded even though she couldn’t see me. “Nope, she kind of hates you actually.”

Naeun turned her head and looked at me.

“Well, don’t you kind of think that she has reasons to do so?” I asked her as I put my spoon in the now empty bowl.    

She raised an eyebrow at me.

“Hello, you’re her ex new girlfriend. Of course she’s gonna hate you.” I said and looked at her.

“But it’s not like I’m his REAL girlfriend.” Naeun exclaimed in her defense and then she slapped one of her hands over and stared at me as I stared right back at her.       

“You’re not what?” I asked.

She opened and tried to say something but without succeeding.

I suddenly smiled. “So what, did Bacon like, hire you to be his fake girlfriend?” I asked and couldn’t help but to feel amused.  

“No!” Naeun exclaimed and looked at me with accusing eyes. “He doesn’t pay me for it…” she muttered and glanced down at the table.

I couldn’t help but to laugh. I almost fell face flat forward on the table from laughter as I held my stomach.   

“Stop laughing. It’s not like your and Haras relationship is any more real than mine and Baekhyuns.” She said and I stopped my laughter immediately and looked at her.  

“What are you talking about?”

“Don’t you get it? Baekhyun wants to make Hara jealous and regret that she ever cheated, by using me, and Hara is doing the same thing, but using you.” Naeun stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, and maybe it was, but I hadn’t realized it.    

“So…You think she’s just using me?” I asked her and suddenly felt this heartache.

She nodded. “I’m sorry, but I really think that’s how it is.”

“Wow… I really thought she liked me…” I said and felt stupid as ever.

Naeun looked at me, sympathetically. “You know what? We’re just gonna have to make them forget about each other and make them like us instead.” She said while nodding.

Just then, her phone plinged and she took it out. “Oh shoot, I had forgotten about that…” she muttered before she stood up and pressed the rest of her ice cream in to and soon her face made the typical ‘Brain freeze’ look. Then she looked at me. “Wanna tag along to the movie theatre, ‘cause I kind of have to see this movie with a friend?”

Sorry for an INCREADIBLY boring chapter, but hopefully next one will be better since I have that more planned. ^^
