Dance Room

Rose’s POV

 

So, I’m not liking this guy at all.  Who the hell does he think he is?  He legit told us these set of rules once we walked in.

And for some reason, he’s been incredibly hard on me.  I get it.  I’m not the best dancer but you sure as hell don’t need to yell at me every second.  I mean, Namjoon hasn’t even been yelled at half as much as I have.

It’s just me, Tae, and Namjoon in here since the others didn’t have any choreography to their songs.  We’ve went through the dance a few times already and it isn’t bad.  I basically know it already, which means it’s a pretty easy dance.

“Now you. You’re going to be in the center singing while these two dance. During the live performance, there will be background dancers,” this guy says.

“Excuse me, but I do have a name,” I say in the nicest way possible.  He has just been pointing and just calling us you instead of actually calling us by our names.

“Didn’t I say no talking unless I allow you to?” Minki says.  Oh, I can play this game all day.

“I’m sorry, sir, but I don’t like to be called ‘you’ since I do have a name that’s not even that hard to pronounce,” I say back.

He then walks up to me.  “Listen here little girl,” he says as he points his finger in my face, “you are to listen and do what I say and when I say it as long as I am in this room teaching. So I suggest you apologize this instant.”

Before I could retort back, Namjoon ends up in front of me, blocking my view of this bastard.

“Hey, you really shouldn’t be talking to her like that, especially when she did nothing wrong,” he says.  I couldn’t help but feel touched for him protecting me like this but I push those feelings aside.  This is no time for mushy stuff.  I’ll feel that later.

“You have nothing to do with this. You and him over there were doing fine. It’s this brat who isn’t listening.”  Tch, I’m the brat.  Yeah, okay.

“She really didn’t do anything wrong, sir. We all did everything you told us to do,” Tae says as he stands besides Joon.

“Just get back to your positions,” he says before walking away towards the speakers.

Namjoon turns to face me.  “We can just leave if you want,” he sweetly says to me.

I shake my head.  “I’m not letting him win. If he thinks yelling at me is going to hurt my feelings then he has another thing coming,” I say before turning around and going back to my position.

Game. On.

 

 

 

Vocal Room

 

Author’s POV

 

“Very good everyone. That went a lot smoother than I thought it would,” Jiae says.

“Why can’t I just stay in here for the whole day?” Yoongi says.

“Tell me about it,” Jeong says.

“Did something happen at dance?” Jiae asks.

“Let’s just say, he isn’t very nice,” Jin says.

“Yeah, especially to Ann,” Jimin adds.

“Ah, so it wasn’t just me,” Jiae says.

“What do you mean, unnie?” Ann asks.

“We met this morning and he didn’t seem to fond of me but I just let it go. I don’t understand why. I’ve heard that he’s a very good teacher, unless he’s just even harder on women,” Jiae says.

“Yeah, good teacher my a-“

“Language, Yoongi,” Jin says.

“I’m sure you guys can tough it out. But if it gets too bad, tell me or your managers and we’ll handle it. I don’t want you guys to get physically hurt or anything because he pushes you too hard,” Jiae says.

“Can’t we just change dance teachers now?” Ann asks with a pout.

“Well, Shaun went back to America and the other ones are either busy with other activities or on vacation. Don’t worry, though. Minki will not be a permanent teacher here. I don’t think I’d be able to handle that,” Jiae says, making everyone laugh.

“Alright. Let’s practice a few more times,” Jiae says.

 

 

 

 

 

At the Dorm

 

Author’s POV

 

“I am so done with that man. Does he know how he’s acting? Like the ? Who the does he think he is? Yeah, you may be a good teacher, though I don’t see how, but you don’t go degrading people and yelling at them every minute!” Rose says.

“I know unnie, I know,” Ann says while patting her back.

“Geez, this guy must be a total prick,” Hyun says.

“You have no idea,” Jeong says, “I hate to admit it but he’s a total .”

“Damn. If oppa just cursed then this guys must be really bad,” Scynthia says as she joins the rest of them in the living room.

“But I heard he’s really good. I mean, he’s done choreography for EXO and Infinite. And have you seen Infinite’s dances? They are really cool. Maybe he just teaches differently and we just have to get used to it,” Ann says.

“No ing way. I am not getting used to someone pointing their finger in my face yelling at me because I talked,” Rose says.

"Didn't Namjoon go and pretoect you, though?" Hyun says with a smirk.

"I'm so not in the mood to deal with you right now," Rose says.

“Let’s just calm down and watch Ann’s teaser and our episode,” Jeong says before taking a handful of popcorn and passing the bowl.

“I can’t believe in two days, our music video is going to debut!” Scynthia says.

“I know right!” Hyun says cheerfully.

“It’s starting,” Rose says.

Wow. Could you believe that in two days, Royalty’s first music video will be premiering? Crazy, right? And soon, they’ll be debuting live, right here on stage! They’ll be having their own special live showcase and everything.  Pretty cool, right? Well, let’s get to it shall we? Here’s the teaser of the last member, Ann!

 

 

 

Two Days Later

Ann’s POV

 

It seemed like everyone was pretty much done learning their choreography, well, except for me and Jimin.  Minki only taught us one of our dances.  So now, it’s just me, Jimin, and Minki in the dance studio today.

Everyone else is working on their solo acts and here I am, about to learn a brand new dance.  I couldn’t help but sigh.

“Did I hear something?” Minki asks.

I quickly bring my head up.  “No, sir,” I say. 

“I really don’t have time for your shenanigans today so just do what I say,” Minki says.

“Yes, sir,” I say.

“I didn’t ask for a response back,” he says.  Why can I not win with this guy?  I look at Jimin who’s glaring at the guy.

“Now, for this performance, you guys will be dancing only. The song is an American song and it’s about a couple’s love for one another. The dance is going to be a y, soft hip-hop type of dance,” he starts off.

“S-y?” I say, not knowing I accidently stuttered this out loud.

Minki sighs.  “Do you have a problem with that?” he asks.

“Umm, I-I’ve just never done that type of dance before is all,” I softly say.

“Well, today is going to be your lucky day. You’ll be learning one today. Now get into your places while I get the music set up,” he says before walking to the speakers.

I could only sigh at this.  This y type stuff just isn’t my thing.  And they expect me to perform this in front of how many people?

“Hey,” I hear someone say.  I turn towards Jimin.

“It’s going to be okay. It’ll feel weird at first but then you’ll get comfortable with it,” he says before offering an encouraging smile.

I nod and smile.  “Alright. If you say so.”

 

 

 

Author’s POV

 

Everyone else was in the vocal room working on their solos and other performances. 

“How come me and Ann are the only ones who’s doing a cover of a song?” Scynthia asks.

“It’s what Mr. Bang wanted,” Jiae says.

“I mean, I have no problem doing it, especially this song. And plus me and Ann already know it. She just has to learn the piano part. Anyways, I was just curious is all,” Scynthia says.

“Is Ann going to have time for that? I mean, that dance teacher has been keeping her. I still have to teach her our dance duo,” Jeong says.

“She should. I mean, won’t this be that teacher’s last day here?” Scynthia asks.

“Yup, thank goodness!” Jia says, making everyone chuckle. j

“Oh, speaking of Ann, you think she’ll play the guitar during my song? I wrote this song and I think it’ll fit best with a guitar,” Rose says.

“Wait, Ann plays guitar? That’s great! I was just going to ask a member of the band to do it, but Ann playing would be so much better!” Hyun excitedly says.

“W-what? No! It was my idea!” Rose exclaims.

“We’ll just see who asks her first, then,” Hyun says with a smirk.

“Oh, you’re so on!” Rose says determinedly.

Scynthia, Jeong, and Jiae just watched, amused at the two.

“They do know that Ann could play for both of them, right?” Jiae asks.

Scynthia just laughs.  “They’ll find out eventually.”

Jeong sighs.  “Why can’t I be in a group with normal people. Is that so hard to ask for?”

 

 

 

 

 

Jimin’s POV

So you remember when I told Ann it’ll be alright and she’ll feel comfortable once she gets used to it?  Well, I take my words back.

I didn’t think it would be that ‘y’.  We’ve already ran through the dance a few times already.

I knew Ann could dance but I never knew she could move like this.  Our dance has a lot of body rolls and movements similar to that.  And the closeness this dance requires.  I don’t know how many times our bodies are basically pressed against each other or how many times my hands land on her hips.  Her movements are so smooth and clean.  I always thought she was beautiful and innocent in her own way but I can’t help but think of her as y, especially when she moves her hips like that.

Aish, you can’t be thinking of her like this, Jimin.  Get your mind out of the gutter.  But how can I?  Especially with how we end our dance.  I pull her close to me and we just rock our bodies to the beat of the music.  If you were watching, you would think we were making out or something.  You don’t know how hard I had to stop myself from kissing her each time.

“Alright,” Minki says, bringing me out of my thoughts.  “You guys are done. You all know your dances and I feel like you all will be prepared for show time. The only advice I have for you two is to put more emotion into this dance. Like I said before, this dance is about showing how much you love each other. You two need to show that to everyone watching. Make them believe you guys are a real couple with real feelings towards each other.”  I guess that won’t be too hard for me.

“Other than that, you guys are good to go. Now leave my sight before I make you run through the dance 10 more times,” Minki says.

And on that note, me and Ann stormed out of there.

 

 

 

Author’s POV

 

Royalty and the rest of the BTS members were in the cafeteria for lunch.

“So are you all ready for the showcase?” Jin asks.

“You don’t know how excited I am for it,” Hyun says.

“We even practiced with N.T yesterday and they even said they can’t wait for our showcase,” Rose says.

“Mhmm! I think we’re pretty prepared and ready. I mean, we all know our group performances, and our solo acts and such. Me and Ann just need to practice a little,” Scynthia says.

“I think we’re good. I’ve practiced the piano part for the past two days. I’ve got it down now,” Ann says.

“When have you done this?” Scynthia asks.

“At night. I’ve been using oppa’s keyboard. You’re a pretty heavy sleeper, you know,” Ann says making Scynthia just shrug.

“I think our performance is going to be the best!” Taehyung excitedly says.

“No way, ours is!” Yoongi adds.

“Nu uh, ours is! Just wait and see,” Jungkook says.

“You guys are really competitive,” Jeong says before chuckling.

“Oh, Ann! Could you play the guitar during my solo performance?” Rose asks.

“No! You can play for mine,” Hyun says.

Ann looks up at them with a raised eyebrow.  “Is there a reason why I can’t play for the both of you?”

Hyun and Rose look at each other.

“I didn’t think of that,” Rose says.

Jeong and Scynthia just laugh.

“Namjoon oppa, your girlfriend can be stupid sometimes,” Ann says before laughing.

“Yah! We’re just dating,” Rose says.

“Yet. You’re not my girlfriend, yet,” Namjoon says before kissing her cheek.

"The fact that you didn't deny that you were stupid. I'm glad you admitted it," Hyun says before laughing.

Before Rose can yell at Hyun, Hoseok speaks.  “So how are your guys’ dance?” Hoseok asks Jimin and Ann. 

“It’s a dance,” Jimin says, not looking at anyone.

“Why are you so shy now?” Jin asks.

“Is it a y dance?” Jungkook says before laughing, making Jimin and Ann choke on their food.

“Ooooh, it is a y dance. Now this I cannot wait to see,” Scynthia says with a smirk.

“I bet there’s a kissing scene,” Rose adds jokingly. 

“W-what makes you say that?” Ann asks.

“Just asking,” Rose says with a shrug.

“This is going to be so fun to watch,” Hyun says with a chuckle.

“Are you guys excited for you music video tonight?” Jin asks, changing the subject as he senses how Jimin and Ann feel uncomfortable.

“Yeah, I’m ecstatic for it,” Hoseok deadpans making Scynthia look at him.

“It won’t be that bad,” Scynthia says to him.

“Yeah, it’s not like they kissed or anything,” Taehyung says, earning a glare from Hoseok.  Scynthia just takes Hoseok’s hand into hers and places them on her lap, squeezing it for reassurance.

 

 

 

At The Dorm

Ann’s POV

 

Exhausted isn’t even the word!  After lunch, me and Jeong oppa ran through our performance.  Me and Scynthia then went through ours a few times and then I had to quickly learn the guitar for Rose and Hyun’s performances.  I’m really excited to play for them as both their songs are extremely beautiful!

Now, we’re all at our dorm, waiting for the music video to drop.  I guess this could be the perfect time to do the self-cam.  Maybe I can get someone to do it with me, though I think everyone is pretty much resting right now.

I go out of my room and scan around our dorm to see if I can spot someone not busy or resting.  I soon spot Jin oppa in the kitchen. 

“Oppa!” I say to him.

“What’s up, Ann?” he asks with a smile.

“You want to do my self-cam with me? It’ll just be a Q&A,” I say to him.

He seems to be thinking about it before answering me.  “Sure, why not?”

I smile.  “We can do it here. I’m just gonna go get my camera right quick,” I say before leaving.

 

I soon come back with the camera.  I turn it on before facing it towards me and Jin.

“Hi everyone! This is Royalty’s maknae, Ann! And we have a special guest with us. Jin oppa!” I say before smiling.

“Hey guys. I hope you all are doing well,” Jin says while waving to the camera.

“Ah, this is so weird talking to the camera. How do you do this all of the time?” I ask Jin.

He chuckles.  “You get used to it, I guess. When I do it, I’m usually eating and just commenting on the food, so it doesn’t feel that weird.”

I nod before looking back at the camera.  “So, you guys must be wondering why I asked you all to post any questions you have for us on Twitter. Well, I thought I would answer some of your guys’ questions now,” I say before getting my phone and showing it to the camera.

“Oh, how about I read the questions?” Jin asks.

“Good idea. Isn’t oppa smart?” I say before smiling.

Jin smiles before taking my phone to read the first question.  “So, what’s your favorite color? Easy one,” he says.

“Blue! I like any shade of blue,” I say.

“Are Rap Monster and Rose a couple?” Jin asks with a smirk.

“Hmmm. . .how to answer this. . .I’d say soon. . .or I hope soon,” I say with a chuckle.

“Good answer. Okay, next question. Every episode of Royalty Being Born, you’re seen with a stuffed panda. Why is that?”

“Oh! Oreo. I tend to get nightmares so I always sleep with a stuffed animal. I forgot mine at home, back in Chicago. One day, Jimin oppa surprised me with Oreo,” I say before smiling.

Jin nods and smiles before asking the next question.  “Why does Rose always say fight me?” he asks before bursting out into laughter.

I couldn’t help but chuckle.  “I don’t know. She tends to say that when someone says something she’s not quite fond of. Like when Scynthia and Hyun oppa about Namjoon oppa, she usually always says fight me. A fight never happens, though.”

And it kept going on like this.  Fans asked many different questions, from the differences of American and Korea, to how excited I am about our debut, to how I began dancing, to even giving out spoilers of our music video.  I of course didn’t answer the last one.

 

“Thanks oppa for helping me,” I say after I turned the camera off.

“No problem. There was this one question I skipped,” he says.

“What was it?” I curiously ask.

“A fan wanted to know if you and Jimin were a thing. She says you two look really cute together,” he says before smiling.

“Oppa, you know we’re both just friends,” I plainly say.

“Really? Just friends?” and I just nod.

He sighs.  “Okay. I have a random question for you. Say you liked someone and he liked you back. What would you do?”

I think for a moment before replying.  “Nothing. I don’t think I’m ready for any relationship,” I say.

“Or is it you’re scared to let someone in?” he says, which just makes me look down.

“I just don’t want to get hurt again, oppa,” I softly say.

“Ann, I know a lot of things have happened, pretty bad things. And I know these things have caused you to build up some walls around your heart. But I think it’s time to let those walls down, especially if you know, deep down inside that you have your heart set on someone. I know it’s scary but we all have to take those chances sometimes.”

I just nod, taking everything in that he said.  I then feel him bring me into a hug. 

“Just know that I’ll always be here for you. You’re like my little sister so I just want the best for you and for you to be healthy and happy.”

“Thanks, oppa,” I say as I pull away and smile.

“Anytime kiddo,” he says before ruffling my hair.

“IT’S MUSIC VIDEO TIME!!!!” Hyun yells from the living room.

“Let’s go watch your guys’ debut music video,” he says before walking out of the kitchen.

I nod and stand up to follow him.

I guess Jin oppa is right.  Maybe it is time to let my walls down.

Maybe it’s time. . .

. . .to let my heart feel again.

 

 

 

Author’s POV

 

Ladies and gentlemen. It is my great pleasure to give you Royalty’s first music video! They have been pretty secret about this, not even telling anyone the title of the song. All we were told was that it is a second single from the group. Well, without further or due, I give you Good Luck by Royalty!

 

The beginning scenes begin to play, including the one of Scynthia and Taemin.

Scynthia feels Hoseok tense up, so she grabs his hand and intertwines their fingers together.

“Wow! The choreography is pretty sick!” Jungkook exclaims.

“It was really fun to do,” Ann says.

Scynthia’s part then comes up. 

“You look really good but I still hate the bed scene,” Hoseok says.

“Thanks,” Scynthia says with a smile.

“Your voice sounds really good,” Jin adds.

“Thanks, oppa!” Scynthia says.

“As always, Rose’s voice is amazing,” Namjoon says, making Rose, of course, blush.

“Oh! Look at hyung with all of the girls,” Taehyung says before chuckling.

“Your rap was pretty cool,” Yoongi says.

“Thanks guys,” Jeong says before chuckling.

“You look so cool, Hyun,” Jungkook says.

“I agree! You look super cool in the Las Vegas scene,” Ann adds.

“Well, of course I do,” Hyun adds.

 

They all continue to watch the rest of Royalty’s music video.

Now that Royalty’s music video dropped, it’s now onto their showcase debut.

 

 

Hopefully everything goes smoothly. . .

 

 

 

 

Sorry that these last few chapters have been pretty boring.  But, i promise that these upcoming chapters will be better :D
