Start Again
Author’s POV
The Next Morning
The gang, once again, got up early to head to the company. They planned to work on their songs so they could show it to Manager Hyejin and Mr. Bang.
They were all in the kitchen waiting for Hyejin to pick them up and take them to the company. They were all in casual wear since they would probably be in the studio most of the day.

Ann walked up to Jeong who was sitting on one of the stools at the kitchen counter. She leaned her head on his shoulder.
“Oppa,” Ann whined and pouted, “I’m hungry.”
Jeong chuckled. “Noona said she’d bring us breakfast so you’re just going to have to wait.” Ann could only sigh at that.
“Why can’t you cook? I’ve always wondered,” Hyun asks, taking a seat next to Jeong.
“Yeah. That’s a good question. Why won’t Scynthia allow you in the kitchen?” Rose asks as she pours herself a cup of orange juice.
Ann lifts her head up off of Jeong’s shoulder. “Well, I might have accidently causedafireinherkitchen,” she quickly says.
“What was that?” Jeong questioned her, tilting his head to the left.
Ann sighs before saying, “I might have accidently caused a fire in her kitchen.”
They all looked at each other before laughing their heads off.
“How . . .did. . .you. . .do. . .that?” Rose asks in between her laughter.
Ann shrugs. “I was just cooking some nuggets and I left the kitchen for two minutes and I came back to a kitchen fire. Scynthia and her mom banned me from their kitchen. Her mom even told my mom about it and she banned me from out kitchen, too.”
“Well, guess you really aren’t allowed in this kitchen without adult supervision,” Hyun says before laughing again.
“Hey! It was an accident!” Ann says before pouting again.
“Where is Scynthia at anyways? Wasn’t she the first one up this morning?” Jeong asks.
Ann leans her head back on his shoulder, while Rose answers him.
“Hoseok called so she’s talking to him,” she says before taking a sip of her orange juice.
“Those two are so cheesy, I swear,” Hyun says. "Oh babe. I love you," Hyun says in a deep voice. "Oh, I love you, too Hobi! Hehehehe," he says in a high, girlish voice. Ann laughs at this while Rose only shakes her head.
“You shouldn’t be talking. You’re exactly like that with your girlfriend,” Jeong says making Ann and Rose giggle. Hyun could only glare at his hyung.
“When do we get to meet your girlfriends?” Rose asks.
“Yeah! I wanna meet them!” Ann says excitedly.
Hyun stopped glaring to answer the two girls. “You can meet them at our debut showcase. They’re going to come,” he says before smiling.
“Yay! I can’t wait to meet them,” Ann says.
“Yeah, I want to meet the girls who are able to put up with you two, especially Hyun,” Rose says jokingly.
“YAH!” Hyun yells making everyone else laugh.
Scynthia’s POV
“Sorry I didn’t call last night. I was out once I hit the bed. I didn’t even shower,” Hoseok tells me in his husky voice. He just must have woken up.
“It’s alright. As long as you’re resting, it’s okay,” I say as I pack my purse.
“So how was your day yesterday? You had your filming, right?”
“Yeah. It went really smooth. The outfits were horrible, though. I’m hoping that Lauren sticks to her word when she said she’d make our outfits for our debut. I refuse to wear that dress again,” I say. I shiver just thinking about those outfits.
I hear Hoseok chuckle on the line. “Anyways, then Kai had the audacity to show his face and try to talk to Ann. Can you believe that? He’s lucky Tae was there or I would have slapped the smirk right off his face,” I say.
“Tae? Who’s that?” He asks.
“Oh! Taemin! While jackass and Ann were talking, me and Tae chatted some. I can’t believe how long it’s been since we last hung out.”
“I didn’t know you guys were that close, especially to be on a nickname basis,” Hoseok says.
“Yeah. We just haven’t hung out in a while because he had his comeback and now I’m working on my debut,” I say as I look for my bandana. I swear I just saw it somewhere.
“I see,” is all he says.
“You alright Hobi?” I ask.
“Yeah.” He’s usually not this quiet. What could be the mat—Oh. I see.
“Hey, Hobi. You’re not jealous are you?” I say with a smirk on my face.
“W-what? Why would I be jealous? He knows you’re my girlfriend and my girlfriend only,” he sternly says. I bite my bottom lip to try not to laugh. It’s so cute, though. My Hoseok being all jealous.
“Yes, Hoseok. I’m all yours,” I say.
“Damn straight!” he says before I hear him chuckle. “Well, I have to get ready for our quick rehearsal. I just wanted to talk to you and it’s a good thing I did.” I couldn’t help but giggle at this new jealous Hobi. It’s kinda hot if you ask me. If only I could see this in person.
“Alright babe. Don’t work too hard! Have an awesome concert!” I say to him.
“I surely will now that I was able to hear your voice. Have fun recording today. I love you Scyn,” he says. This guy never fails at making me smile or making my heart flutter.
“I love you, too, Hobi. Bye,” I say and the line goes dead.
Seems like my day is going to go well. Oh! There’s my bandana. How the heck did it end up under my bed?
Author’s POV
Scynthia finally came out her room.

“You’re just in time! Unnie just brought us breakfast!” Ann says while taking a bite of her kimchi and rice.
“I still can’t get used to eating rice for breakfast. I feel like I’m eating lunch or dinner,” Scynthia says before laughing.
“Alright guys. You’re going to have to eat on the to the company,” Hyejin says with a big smile.
Everyone nods and puts their shoes on and heads out the door.
“Oh bwait! I bogot my baltop ang flathdriveth,” Ann says before running into her room and putting the said things in her backpack.
“What did she say?” Rose asks.
Ann comes running back. “Sorry. I forgot my laptop and flashdrive.” She then felt a hit behind her head.
“OW! What was that for?” Ann asks as she pouts and rubs the spot that was hit.
“That’s for talking with your mouth full,” Rose says before smiling and walking away.
“Meanie. I was just hungry,” Ann mumbles to herself.
“I heard that!” Rose says without turning around.
Ann then sticks her tongue out.
“I saw that, too,” Rose says. Ann thought about flicking her off but thought against it.
Aish. Weird unnie, Ann thinks to herself.
Author’s POV
Hyejin walked Royalty to the recording studio. Ever since she picked them up, she’s had a smile on her face.
“Noona, are you alright?” Hyun asks.
“Of course I am. Why?” Hyejin asks with the smile still remaining on her face.
“You’ve been smiling for a while now. Doesn’t your face hurt?” Rose asks.
“Well, I guess I do have some good news to tell you all,” Hyejin says.
“What is it?” Scynthia asks as she waves at Jake as she enters the studio.
“The first teaser is going to air tonight!” Hyejin says with much excitement.
“What?” Ann asks, not sure if she heard her unnie correctly.
Hyejin nods. “Your guys’ first teaser is going to come out tonight. It’s going to be the girls. Then every day after this, a teaser will go out. So today is the girls, tomorrow will be the guys, then it’s the solos. Lastly, the group teaser will come out, which will be a teaser to your first mv.”
“OH MY ING GOODNESS!!” Rose and Scynthia yell at the same time!! Only Rose yelled it in Chinese while Scynthia yelled it in English.
“Wow. It’s really happening, isn’t it?” Jeong says while smiling.
“This is so exciting! Guys, let’s start working on our songs!” Hyun says.
“I’m sure your guys’ songs will be amazing. I’ll fetch you guys later. Make sure to take breaks,” Hyejin says before leaving.
“Congrats guys,” Jake says to them.
“Thanks! This is so surreal! I’m going to have to call my mom later!” Ann says.
“Oh! We’ll have to Skype them,” Scynthia suggests while Ann nods excitedly.
“Alright guys. Which song do you want to work on first?” Rose asks.
“Well, first, let’s pretend they’ve both been approved. What song do you guys want to make our first single? The song will be the first song people will hear from us when we debut,” Jeong says.
“I vote your guys’ song. It kinda makes me think that once we debut, we’re not going anywhere and that we’re here to stay,” Ann suggests.
Rose nods. “It’s like once you turn to us, there’s no looking back, making it a great first single introducing us.”
Hyun, Scynthia, and Jeong couldn’t help but proudly smile at their explanations.
“Alright then,” Jake says while smiling at the group. “Let’s get started shall we?”
“So, let’s listen to the music first and then you guys can decide what part goes to who and then we’ll try recording it. Sound like a plan?” Jake says.
They all nod. Jake then plays the music. They start bobbing their heads to the beat. Rose and Ann read the lyrics while listening to the music, while Scynthia seems to be contemplating something. The music then finishes.
“What’s on your mind, Scynthia?” Hyun asks.
“Well before I begin rapping, I was thinking we could add something at the beginning. Besides the ‘turn ups’ Hyun suggested, I think we as a group can say or sing something once the music starts,” Scynthia suggests.
They all begin thinking of what to do at the beginning.
“Oh. What about this? Hyun and I could sing a high note before Scynthia’s rap?” Rose suggests.
Jake shakes his head. “That wouldn’t sound too good. It’d clash with everything.” Rose only nods, figuring he was right.
“We could leave it as is? You can just say the ‘turn ups’?” Ann says.
Jeong shakes his head. “No. Scynthia is right. It needs something.”
“I got it! So, Scynthia can say her little things like ‘turn up’ and ‘BigHit in the Building’, while as a group we can sing ‘Eheheheh oh eh oh eheheheh oh eh oh’?” Hyun suggests.
“Hmm. . .let’s try that with the music. Scynthia says what she says and you guys all sing that,” Jake says before starting the music.
The music begins and they try the idea.
“That sounded pretty cool!” Ann says.
“Yeah. I like it. What do you think, Jake?” Jeong asks.
“Sounds perfect. Alright. So the beginning is set. So after that’s done, Scynthia raps the first verse, right?” Jake asks.
“Yeah. We were thinking Hyun could sing the next verse since his voice fits the part better,” Scynthia says.
“I agree. My voice is a tad too high for that,” Rose says before giggling.
“Alright. What about the next parts?” Jake asks.
“I think it’d be better if we split that upon two people,” Hyun suggests.
“Me and unnie can take it?” Ann asks.
“Sounds good. Ann can sing first and take the English parts then Rose will come and sing right after her,” Jeong says.
Ann and Rose nod. Ann begins marking on her and Rose’s copy of the lyrics, making sure to write down whose part is whose.
“Fantastic,” Jake says.
“Then me and Jeong oppa will say the next line together,” Scynthia says.
“Great. Onto the chorus now,” Jake says.
“I personally think Hyun should constantly sing the first few lines while me and Ann alternate throughout the song,” Rose suggests.
“You sure?” Hyun asks.
Rose nods. “I think it’ll sound better.”
“Alright then,” Hyun says.
“So, I think it should go like this: Hyun, our group part, Ann, our group part, and then I go.” Rose says.
“I’m cool with that,” Ann says, whole marking on their lyrics page again.
“Okay. Before we move any further, let’s try recording what we have so far,” Jake says.
They all nod as they all walk in to the recording booth while Jake presses some buttons.
“Thumbs up when you’re ready,” Jake says through the microphone.
They all put their headphones on, well almost all of them. Rose and Scynthia had to share one. They then all give Jake a thumbs up and he plays the music. They record what they had so far.
Jake then gives them a thumbs up, letting them know that they’re finished. They come out the booth and go back to their places in the studio. Jake plays the recording back to them until it ends.
“What do you guys think?” Jake asks.
“It needs more ehoheh’s. I think they should be placed throughout the song, not just the beginning,” Ann suggests.
“Agreed. I was thinking the same thing,” Hyun says.
Jake nods. “Anything else?”
“No. Other than that, I thought it sounded really good,” Jeong says while smiling. “Good job for the first run through everyone.”
The rest of Royalty all smile at their leader, which makes Jake smile in turn.
“Okay. Next verse. Is it rapping or singing?” Jake asks.
“Singing and it goes to Rose,” Scynthia immediately says.
“Well that was fast,” Jake says.
Scynthia shrugs. “It was just calling for her.”
“And after Rose’s part is my rapping part,” Jeong says.
Hyun shakes his head. “It sure is. ‘Pretty face, cola bottle body.’ Can you get any shallower?”
“I think it’s a good lyric,” Jeong says in reply. Hyun shakes his head only mumbling a “Yeah yeah.”
“Then the chorus comes again. So Hyun oppa keeps his parts while me and unnie just switch, right?” Ann asks, making sure she understood clearly.
“Correct!” Rose says.
“Then it’s another rap part. Jeong raps first then I go. Then it’s back to the chorus,” Scynthia says.
“I sing then Ann and Rose switch again,” Hyun says.
“And we should end on the ehohehoh’s,” Ann says smiling.
“And my turn up!” Scynthia says before giggling.
“This is really great. You all work really well together. I have to say, I’m beyond impressed right now,” Jake says while giving them all a thumbs up.
“Well, it’s a great song for starters,” Ann says.
“Agreed!” Rose says.
“Well thank you, thank you very much,” Scynthia says before standing and bowing.
Hyun then shoves her, making Scynthia slightly lose her balance. “What was that for?”
“Don’t act like you wrote it all yourself. Us three all wrote it,” Hyun says.
Scynthia lazily waves her hand. “Minor details.”
Jeong just chuckles and shakes his head.
“Okay. Time to record,” Jake says while trying to hold back his laughter.
They all nod and once again go back into the booth.
Four long hours later that included many re-recordings, remastering, adding adlibs, bickering, and of course, the occasional whining, Royalty’s first song is done and recorded.
“WE RECORDED OUR FIRST SONG PEASANTS!” Scynthia shouts.
“AND IT SOUNDS ING FANTASTIC! WOO” Rose says before high-fiving each other.
The other three just stare, not exactly sure what they’re seeing.
“I can’t even deal right now,” Ann says before shaking her head.
“Congratulations guys! Your first song is completed! And I must say, it does sound pretty fantastic,” Jake says, which makes the three smile.
“Can we go eat now?” Ann asks.
“Yeah, I’m starving,” Hyun says in agreement while patting his stomach.
“That sounds like a good idea. We’ll go eat and then come back to work on the second song. And maybe by the end of the day, we can get noona and Mr. Bang to listen to them,” Jeong says and everyone nods in agreement.
“Wait, you guys aren’t finished quite yet,” Jake says.
Hyun raises an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”
“You guys need a title for the song,” Jake says amused.
“Wow, how on earth did we forget the most basic part?” Jeong says stunned.
“No Exit,” Scynthia simply says.
Everyone thinks on the name before nodding in agreement.
“Wow. I was expecting something like the Turn Up Song or you actually calling it EhOhEh,” Hyun says before laughing.
“Hey! Nothing wrong with that! Besides, Mr. Xia has a song called OeO. It’d sound too similar,” Scynthia says.
“Okay then. . .No Exit it is,” Jake says before finalizing things.
They then all went to lunch with smiles on their faces, ecstatic that they all recorded and completed their first very own song.

AND CHAPTER END!!! Boy was that long! So detailed! Sorry if it was boring but I felt like i should give everyone their parts and such. And I gave away the first debut song but I'm thinking of keeping their second single a surpise :D.
