Eric was tossing and turning around in his bed. No matter what he did, no matter how many sheep he had already counted or how much warm milk he drank it just felt like a physical impossibility to fall asleep that night.

No wonder.

His bed felt lonely with just only him lying in it, there was no one next to him as there usually was every night for quite a while now. He missed that person whom he snuggled up to and put his arm around his slender waist so he could pull him closer. He missed his grumbling and faint smile he hid as he turned around and buried his face into his chest.
He missed that warm body among his arms and even if he used a pillow as a substitute it was just no good.

He missed Hyesung.

It's been three nights already since Hyesung left for abroad to attend concerts and fanmeetings. It was solo activity, it had nothing to do with Eric and so he stayed at home... while Hyesung was out there... somewhere... without him...
Eric shook his head. He felt miserable and he felt worse for being this way only because Hyesung wasn't there next to him. He hated himself for missing him this much, he wanted to know if Hyesung was this way as well or it was just Eric...

"I'm going to call him." He mumbled and he did not even care it was the middle of the night. He wanted to hear his voice no matter what, even if it was for only to scold him why he was bothering him this time of the day.

At first he thought Hyesung won't accept his call. It was ringing for a long time before Eric stopped the call and started it again. This time however after a few rings his call was accepted and he could hear that voice finally which he was thirsting for ever since they said goodbye a while ago.

"Eric?" Hyesung sounded surprised and Eric smiled as he imagined his expression. "Shouldn't you be sleeping?"

"What about you?" Eric lied down on his bed, put his arm under his head while staring at the ceiling he listened to Hyesung's sweet voice . "Shouldn't you be sleeping? Your schedule is full..."

"I just arrived back to my hotel room." He heard a tired sigh. "I was eating out with the staff members."

"Oh." Eric put on a sour expression as if he bit into a lemon but he tried to hide his displeasure in his voice. "I bet you had a good time."

"I did." Hyesung laughed. "It was fun. I'm just tired."

"Then go and rest." Eric replied and stayed quiet, only listened to Hyesung's breathing while tried to calm his heartbeat.

A few minutes passed in silence before Hyesung let out a frustrated groan and asked, "So why did you call? Before you start worrying over me eating out with the staff..."

"No, no." Obviously he lied, he imagined Hyesung being buried under tons of women and he did not quite like that picture. "I'm glad you had a good time, really."

"Why did you call? You never called me after I left..." There was a kind of anger in Hyesung's voice indicating he was waiting for Eric to phone him and this made him happy. So he was missing him as well...

"Nothing... I was just curious how things are..."

For a moment they both fell silent then Hyesung just chuckled and asked, "You can't sleep, can you?"

Eric lifted his eyebrows and almost offended he asked back, "What? No way, why would you think that..."

"Because you are a bear and there is no way you are up this time of the night when you have nothing to do. And you have nothing to do."

Eric grimaced, the singer knew him way too well, "So what? I could not sleep, so what? I'm used to you sleeping next to me, go ahead and laugh."

Hyesung just sighed and said, "Do you want me to sing you into sleep?"

His voice sounded so soft, so sweet it almost stopped Eric's heart for a moment before it started to beat rapidly. His mouth went dry and he had to gulp before he could answer almost whispering, "Yes, I want you to."

Hyesung did not say anything but took a deep breath and a moment later Eric could hear that angelic voice he loved so much ever since he first heard it in LA:

...Everlasting, You Are My Everything...

Eric's heart skipped a beat hearing those words but the more Hyesung sang from the verse the more displeased he felt and in the end he just interrupted him, "Yah, this is not nice at all. Why would you sing this for me..."

"Why?" Hyesung laughed, Eric knew he had a good time playing around. "Don't you like it?"

"No..." Eric grumbled again. "Telling me you'll forget me and let me go..."

"I'm saying" Hyesung stopped him from continuing his complaining. "I'm trying to forget you during the day because I can't concentrate on my work. I'm in pain for not seeing or hearing you so I keep replaying our goodbye in my head. And once I go back I won't leave without you ever again. And I won't let you do the same either."

Eric felt as his face was burning up hearing Hyesung's sudden came love confession as he tried to explain why he sang this song, this verse. He was embarrassed and hearing his heavy breathing and how he did not say a word Eric knew Hyesung was awfully embarrassed as well. No wonder, he rarely said such cheesy things to him. It felt weird, Eric was cringing.

"So I'm saying," Hyesung mumbled after a few moments of silence. "I'm missing you as well, you slippery bastard."

Hyesung finished the call without saying anything else, leaving Eric in that messed up state. He just stared at the ceiling with eyes wide open, his face was deep red and his heart was beating so fast he thought it's going to jump out.
Hyesung finished him with one blow.

And instead of being able to sleep now that he finally heard his voice...
Eric Mun spent the whole night wide awake once again.

A/N:

So I kind of remembered from Radio Star (right? or Beatles Code? I think it was Radio Star) when Hyesung said he sang for Eric in the phone and I could not really let this chance go... haha
Also, it's for as a celebration of successfully wrapping up encore concert day 1 (it was such a terribly good concert, I've listened to the live stream and I'm praying they will release a dvd from it) and for reaching and passing 5000 views for Short Tidbits.
