Will you be mine?

“Babyyy!”

Seung gi chuckled as she sang with the CD player. They were heading back from work, or so she thought. He was used to her singing in the car by now; it made his trips to work far more interesting. It was still around noon, since they agreed to leave a bit early that day.

He was glad she didn’t notice it yet, and also very concerned about how easy it is to abduct her. She certainly knew going home takes less than thirty minutes, but she seemed so focused on her music.

But I think I look cute when I smile

“Oh ohh...wait” she finally looked up, seeming quite confused. “What are you doing?” she glanced at the street signs.

“Driving” he replied. She continued to watch the road. “It’s a short cut, just relax”

She carefully eyed him. She realized arguing that it doesn’t need a short cut would insult his pride; men were the worst when it comes to that really. She decided to lean back against her seat and switch to another song.

It was a few moments later that he watched her eyes dropping. He was quite delighted. She will be completely clueless now. He’d certainly let out a round of evil laughter if it wouldn’t wake her.

She watched as the silent mountaintops were enveloped with the mist. They took such a beautiful orange colour with the sun, which was about to set across the horizon. She could spend ages watching that sight.

Her sleepy mind slowly digested that there weren’t any mountains anywhere near their home. She jolted with a start as she watched the roads. She calmed slightly when she saw him beside her.

“Hey sleepy head” he softly spoke. He looked tranquil as he drove along the almost empty path. “Did you sleep well?”

“What are you doing oppa? Where are we going?”

He smirked. “I’m kidnapping you, baby” he caught a glimpse of her puzzled expression. “It’s alright”

“But...what about work?

“I took a leave for both of us, it won’t be long, they understand” he assured. He couldn’t help but chuckle as she frantically searched the road for any sign of where they’re going. “It’s a surprise”

“But we didn’t even have dinner yet” she argued. This type of spontaneous rides was quite unusual for him.

“There are snacks in the bag” he pointed at the back seat, where a sac, blankets and a small mat were packed. This wasn’t anything spontaneous, she now realized. He had planned for this. However, unless his plan was to dump her body in the mountains, she had no idea what he was up to.

She reached to grab the bag. She went through it to find juice bottles and a few sealed containers of food. It also had a camera and a lamp. She was touched upon discovering that he packed her favourite bar of chocolate.

He smiled as she happily munched on the bar. He reached to mess her hair.

“Do you want me to drive oppa? Aren’t you tired?” she asked as he fixed her strands back with the pins.

“It’s close” he insisted.

“But I can do it oppa, you didn’t have anything to eat and it’s been so long...”

“Yah, my bunny shouldn’t worry about that” he smirked. She looked adorable with her worried eyes and small pout. “It really is close, we’re almost there”

She looked out the window again. The mountains were still blocking most of the view, but she could feel the wind becoming a bit different. The busy atmosphere of Seoul was overtaken with small street side shops. She was slowly exploring the surrounding. Seagulls were a telltale sign.

“Sokcho?” she wondered as she read the welcoming mark.

“Sokcho” he nodded in affirmation.

“The beach?” her eyes widened.

He chuckled as her lips formed a perfect O shape. Going to the beach wasn’t his favourite, especially during the summer. She often has to drag him there when she goes with her friends, and then he spends the day sulking at her swimsuits.

“The beach!” she squealed in excitement. She leaped off her seat to embrace him as he was parking. “Really?”

He returned the embrace while nodding. “I rented a beach cottage; we’ll stay here for a couple of days”

“But...why is this so sudden?”

“You’ll see, baby” he gave her a wicked grin while pulling her back into his arms. “The surp
