Eighty nine
ReasonsEighty nine
Seung gi expected a small period of mess, rush, nervousness and extreme enthusiasm after they announce their engagement and start the wedding arrangements, but he assumed it would come from the bride to be.
He was glad that Suzy maintained a calm and sensible approach instead. They browsed the web for possible locations and inspiration, they saved their favourite basic colours charts, and they explored potential dates. It wasn’t much. Nevertheless, it was a slow but steady progress in preparing. They even agreed on their favourite and most perfect theme a few days ago.
She told him she was marrying the love of her life, and no matter how it goes, it’ll be the best day of her life. That was why she remained laid back and relaxed.
Too laid-back, their mothers said, for such a gigantic event in only a few months time. That’s why; they offered to ‘help’ them.
They welcomed all the help they could get as they were often returning home exhausted with little time. His mother said she’ll set guest suggestions, and hers said she’ll explore the venues they favoured. They were so sweet really.

Seung gi was driving home when his mobile started buzzing continuously. It was several messages from Suzy, all read SOS.
He opened the front entrance to find her sitting on the doorsteps.
“Oppa!” she launched at him.
He thought it was an embrace before she forced him to duck under the window, signalling him to hush.
“What’s going on?”
“They’re here” she whispered.
“Who’s here?”
She pointed inside. He peeked through the window to find both their mothers with several brochures and a laptop.
Though they met a few times before and seemed to get along, it was more than Suzy could manage on her own without a prior notice.
“What are they doing?” he asked.
She rubbed her forehead in attempt to ease her tension. She explained that they were together since the early morning, and they visited to show her their favourite bridesmaids’ dresses. She told him she opened the door half awake and in her pyjamas.
“And then I panicked” she added. “And I served them the first thing I could find in the fridge that wasn’t ripped or half eaten”
He couldn’t help but grin. “Which was?”
“A bar of chocolate”
He immediately broke down in laughter, stopping as she muffled it with her hand.
“It’s not funny!” she objected. “Now they think we spend all day eating junk food and having on couches”
“Don’t we?”
She glared. “No!”
“No?”
“Well...” she hummed to herself as she thought about it. That was how most of their vacations are spent.
“There is my son in law!” a chipper welcome came prior to getting pulled into an embrace.
He returned it before bowing. “Good afternoon, mother”
Suzy’s mother grinned as she was obviously pleased with the name.
“I’ve been waiting for you, we should get going” she buttoned up her light autumn jacket before grabbing his arm.
“Go where?”
“To the bakeries. I set an appointment for cake sample tasting” he glanced at Suzy, who looked surprised as well. “Mrs. Lee will take you to your wedding planner to see the churches, dear” she informed.
“What churches?” he asked.
“I have a planner?”
Her equally clueless question was the last thing he heard before he was dragged outside.
