Thirty two
It was midnight when he woke up to a noise in the kitchen. He relaxed when he saw that she wasn’t sleeping next to him, and it was definitely her making the noise. He pushed the blanket and climbed out of bed. He heard the abnormal sound of the juicer on his way down the stairs.
His girlfriend had a lot of strange habits. This was one of them. A week after they moved in together, he was terrified to find her in the kitchen at 3 am, in her sleeping robe, her hair very messy, with a half sliced chicken, lemon, apple and banana peels surrounding her. He thought she was sleep-walking. She told him she was creating a new dish, since she couldn’t sleep.

“You can go to sleep if you want oppa. I’ll try to be quiet” he shook his head. The truth was, he loved watching her little habits. He loved the inhuman sound she makes when she sees a cute baby. He loved how she chases after puppies until they get terrified. He loved how when she lets out a sneeze, she has to wrinkle her nose afterwards.
“I want to watch you, baby” she turned around to give him a wide smile. She then went to the living room. She came back after a while with her mobile at hand.
She played a song and raised the sound, not loud enough for the neighbours to hear, but loud enough for her to swing her hips a bit in front of him, synching the lyrics and signalling him with her finger to walk closer, as if he was charmed, he had no choice but to walk closer. She smirked in response and bit on her lower lip, wrapping her arms around his
