They walked in the soft rain for a while, since neither one wanted to ruin the day. She always admired walking with him, but having the rain around was a bonus. The street seemed so bright with the drops. The rain stopped a few moments later, a perfect timing as they arrived to their destination.
She was amazed. Cherry blossom trees were creating a path. The petals fell with the wind and the earlier rain created a marvellous view against the trees. An arch was built above a small pond. “It’s striking”
“I knew you’d love it” he held her before she managed to run ahead of him towards the arch, obliging her to slowly make her way there, held in his embrace.
There weren’t many people there; a family was having a picnic on the grass and there were few shops some distance away. It was serene, a small change of pace from their lifestyle.
They walked to the bridge and she took out her mobile to take a picture of a flock of ducks. He rested his chin on her neck and was starting to plant small kisses on her nape. She switched cameras to take a photo of them while he wasn’t looking.
He looked up when he heard the sound to find their photo. “You’re getting really mischievous”
“Should I get punished?”
“No. I like it when you’re naughty” she giggled. He turned her around to face him. Her eyes caught his; their gazes remained on each other until he leaned down for a kiss.

He was going to the store to buy her some snacks, upon her insistence. The way was slightly long and he told her he’ll go alone. The last time he looked at her, she was playing peek-a-boo with the child from the family next to them.
He went back to sit beside her and offer her the chips. She sat with the child in her arms. She always got fascinated by kids. He admired that fact about her, mostly since he knew she’d make a wonderful mother for their children. What he didn’t like, was that she was paying more attention to the child than her boyfriend.
