Seventy three
ReasonsSeventy three
It was finally Sunday, sweet, sweet Sunday. It was her long awaited weekend, rather his long awaited weekend, but she was the one doing the waiting.
It had only been a few days since her ceremony but she was already getting bored, it didn’t help that he leaves her for work. She never noticed he takes so long at work. And while she was seriously considering setting out a tent outside his office, she didn’t want to disturb him.
Therefore, she was incredibly excited about the weekend. She had big plans on mind. They could go to a lovely restaurant, some shops, have a stroll, go camping somewhere, their garden included, or simply spend all day in bed, held in his strong but tender embrace.
The fantastic weekends!
Her plans came crumpling down in the form of his friend and college roommate, Sang Hyun. Sang Hyun was married and had a four years old son. That weekend was his wedding anniversary and he wanted to celebrate with a fancy date. Having just moved to Seoul, he was still unfamiliar with their neighbours. That’s why the first person he thought of to babysit his son, Yi Han, was his long time friend, also known as her boyfriend.
She could afford missing on a lazy day in bed though. Kids were always pleasant in her opinion, and she sincerely wanted to help his friend.

“My name is Suzy but you’ll be calling me noona” he chuckled as he walked past them. She was having a conversation with the child.
“He’s growing so fast”
“They all do” Sang Hyun smiled. “Shouldn’t you be making your own by now?”
“My own…what?” he was almost afraid to ask.
“Child of course. Don’t you want kids?”
“We…do. It’s just too early right now”
He glanced towards the other side of the room. Suzy was grinning widely as she softly spoke to the child. “Can I get you something to eat? Do you like yogurt?”
“I want doughnuts”
“Doughnuts?” she giggled. It was always delightful to watch her around kids.

She walked into their living room with the doughnuts at hand. She was about to sit when she noticed her boyfriend was setting a medium sized backpack. Yi Han was excitedly watching. “What are you doing?”
“We’re going to the zoo!” Yi Han told her.
“We are?”
“We are” Seung gi replied. “He talked me into it”
“How could a four year old talk you into it?” she whispered.
“He pouted” she sighed. “His parents promised they’d go but they’re always busy. I couldn’t say no to that” she couldn’t believe it. He knew how much she hated the zoo. It was basically paying money to stare at animals who stare back. It’s the same thing as watching NatGeo, at least NatGeo doesn’t stink.
She felt tugging on her blouse. She looked down to find Yi Han with a wide, semi toothless grin. He was offering her a piece of paper. She unfolded the paper to find a crayon drawing of the three of them, along with what she thought to be a mutant. It took a few seconds to discover it was a giraf
