‘It seemed like a good idea back then’
The second she told him about her plan, he knew she’ll be saying those words in the following hours.
She wanted to make cupcakes, pretty reasonable, except she isn’t really capable of that. He found it ironic by the amount of cookbooks and cooking channels she watches, that she can still manage to ruin everything she attempts to make. Cake, for example was always ‘saturated’ with eggs. He gets pretty terrified whenever he finds that she bought chicken. He could still taste last year’s incident.
That is, of course, not to mention the time she nearly burnt down the kitchen.
It was what appeared to be a very calm and peaceful morning before Christmas. She got a call from his mother telling them they should spend Christmas at their place. So she thought it would be nice if she made cupcakes. ‘Female gestures he wouldn’t understand’ she said. Last time she said those words it ended up in a near disaster.
He was sitting at the kitchen table when she walked in, her hair pushed in a neat bun, wearing an apron, and carrying what he estimated as five cooking books in her hands, giving him a very wide smile. “I’m making chocolate cupcakes oppa. Want to watch?” she seemed really excited. He gave her a smile; he had to be there anyway to limit the loss.
“Now baby, even though I love seeing you in an apron, why are you doing this?” he asked her as his hands rested on her thighs.
“Because it’s Christmas oppa, I want to do something festival. Now let go and get me some white chocolate” she shook his hands off, causing him to sigh before going to the fridge.
