Chapter 23: Ready

The day after Yu.A left GRACE, the other members had a Skype call with Céline. By the time they called her, she already knew about it and was crying on the other side of the screen. The members knew that this was hard on all of them because a member leaving like this wasn't something they wanted. The members made sure Céline was not in tears before they ended the Skype call. 

But also on that day, Sungsoo called them in again to tell them what he planned and asked the girls what they wanted. He decided to put Jin as the new main rapper of the group. Jin was surprised but thanked Sungoo. Sungsoo also asked if the girls wanted a new member in GRACE. The girls all looked at each other and agreed not to add a new member. Right now for them, it wasn't the time to add a new member. Also they wanted to discuss this with Céline, as all of them should be present to discuss this. Sungsoo agreed to this and to wait for Céline to decide if anything a new member would be a good thing or not. So GRACE's comeback would only be the five current members in the group. 

So with only making a comeback as five, the choreography had to change a little. Mason and Minyoung worked hard to change up the moves so it went smoothly with just five members dancing to the song. After the changing of choreo and adding backup dancers; the filming of the MV happened a few days after. So the members were currently filming the MV. It was tiring as they started at 4 in the morning and went all the way to 10 at night. But the members got through the day, thanked the staff for their hard work, and went home to rest up. 

Currently the five members were chatting with Céline, and talking about each others songs. Céline who finally smiled for the first time since Yu.A's departure, "Unnis I really like 'Run Devil Run'. Its very catchy, and I really like your new hair styles." Miok lifted her hair, "I miss my shorter blond hair, but I think I can get used to this." the others laughed and knew that Miok missed her blond hair. Jin, "Don't worry though dongsaeng. When you get back we can style your hair however you want." Céline nodded. White went closer to the screen since she couldn't see, "Also it'll be exciting once you can come and perform 'Run Devil Run' with us. We'll show you every move in the song so you can perform it with us." Yena nodded, "Also we can style you just like 'Run Devil Run'."

Céline smiled, "I can't wait for that Unnis. I hope the comeback is a big success." Mirai added, "We hope you do well in debuting your single. The sound file you sent to us sounded beautiful." Céline blushed and hid her face, "Thank you Mirai Unni." they chatted for a few more hours until Céline had to leave to go on some TV program. The members of course miss their dongsaeng like crazy, so they hoped she comes back in early March.

The next morning the girls went to Pledis Entertainment, just to visit. Since they're comeback wasn't near yet, they decided they wanted to visit a few trainees and maybe see Seventeen. They did meet one trainee, her name is Hei Ryung. She is 13 and was supposed to be in the group but Sungsoo decided that GRACE would be a seven member group and not nine, like how it was originally planned. So with that Hei Ryung battled against Yena for the spot in GRACE, and Yena ended up winning. But the girls always loved Hei Ryung and hope she would debut soon.  

As the girls were helping train some trainees, Seventeen came to them and visit. The boys always did their best to comfort the girls during these times. And of course they made the girls laugh and helped them in the end.

Through Seventeen and their sunbaes encouragements, the girls practiced hard for their comeback which was soon. They did everything to improve their dance moves and singing. As just five members it was hard, but the girls managed to pull it off and to convince netizens that GRACE is ready, even with five members. So within the few weeks, the girls were finally ready for their comeback.
