Minzy felt like she was in a daze the entire ride back to the palace. Though she tried her best to pull herself together, her fever was still making her feel so weak. "My lady we're here," a voice called making her realize that she was asleep.

She opened her eyes to see Teddy standing with a worried look on his face. Even if she wanted to show that she was alright, she couldn't move without his assistance. "Teddy please," she spoke softly as she raised her hand out to him with what little strength she had. It felt as though her hand weighed a ton, but she forced herself to hold it out long enough for him to take it in his.

"Alright my lady," he cooed as he supported her weight onto him and craddled her in his arms.

"Teddy what are you doing," she asked feeling light headed.

He sighed as he carried her into the palace making sure that her face was covered and dodging anyone who could be passing by. "My lady you are too sick."

"Let me...down," she slurred trying to stay focused even though she felt like she was going to pass out any second.

"We're almost there," he spoke softly as he neared the stair way.

Before she knew it, she felt herself being laid onto the softness of her own bed with the covers being pulled up and over her body. "Teddy?"

"Get some rest my lady," he grinned before he turned to leave.

"Wait," she called after him.

"Yes my lady?"

"Send me one or two of my trusted maids to care for me. I will be down for the opening ceremony."

"But my lady..."

"Please send them, I need help to prepare and as for the king please let him know he will be the one giving the speech for the opening because...because he is the king after all."

"Is that all?"

"Yes," she nodded as she tossed to her side feeling a bit queasy.

"As you wish," he bowed and turned to do her bidding.

Meanwhile Minzy continued to toss and turn to find a more comfortable position that would help ease her aching body. She groaned feeling her body starting to tremble. "Out of all the days," she mumbled as she squeezed her eyes tightly in hopes to block out the pain she was experiencing.

Hearing the door open from behind she tried to turn to look at the maid, but groaned from the sharp pain causing her to stay in place. "I'm not feeling so well today. I'm going to need you to help me get ready for the celebration." There was no response and she figured the maid was awaiting her instructions. "I'm going to need you to take out my white gown that is in the far right side of my closest." She could hear the maid entering her closet and doing what she was told. "Thank you, you can place it onto my bed behind me. I'm going to need you to help me get dressed as well due to the fact that I have little to no strength to move alone." There was no reply as she slightly pushed at the covers. "Please remove these covers and get a bucket full of cool water to help dab down my body before we start getting ready. Without any word, the maid removed the covers and left, allowing Minzy the chance to turn to lay facing up. She groaned at the aches and pains she was feeling, but was finally able to get into the right position. Sighing as she shut her eyes, all that moving was seriously making her feel exhausted. The shock of the cool cloth to her forehead made her let out an involentary groan. Biting her lower lip and closing her eyes tighter as the cool cloth was brushed against her neck, she was grateful to the gentleness of the maid. "Thank you," she whispered as she felt the cloth move across her arms then to her collarbone to repeat the process. "That is good enough," Minzy sighed feeling a little better. "Now I'm going to need you to help me remove my clothing to put on the gown." The maid stayed quiet and Minzy didn't mind one bit, making this process a little more soothing for her. She felt her upper body being shifted and groaned at the sensation and felt the maid stop, "It's...okay I'm...fine." Though there seemed to be some hesitation, Minzy squeezed her eyes tightly together to prepare herself for the movement. Minzy was impressed how gentle the maid was and even more so how strong she was to lift and support her body alone against her arm as the other arm went about undressing Minzy's upper half. She let out a low hiss as she was laid back down to have the bottom half removed. The refreshing air of removing her clothing sent a chill throughout her body as she felt herself being picked up again, but to have what she assumed the dress over and onto her upper half and then softly laid back down to feel the dress fall being slightly pulled down to its full length. "Thank you," she gasped in relief that the hard part was finally over.

Hearing the door open she figured it was another maid coming in to aid, "My Lord?"

Minzy repeated the words that the other maid had said and slowly opened her heavy eye lids to see just what she meant. She was shocked to see that it was none other than GD sitting next to her with what looked like an understanding grin apparent on his face. "GD," was all she could say as she laid bewildered. Humiliation, shock, confusion seemed to all hit her at once when she realized he was the one who had helped her change.

"Don't worry I will take care of the speech tonight," he continued to give her the grin before he bent forward and placed a gentle kiss onto her forehead to leave.

Minzy laid in shock as she stared at the door trying to grasp what had just happened. "My lady?"

Shaking her head she looked in the direction to see a maid awaiting her instructions, "Uh...hmm...can you please help me with my makeup for tonight."

"Of course my lady," the maid smiled as she went about preparing the makeup for Minzy.

As Minzy's crown was placed upon her head a knock came at the door. "Come in," she called over her shoulder as she continued to look into the mirror to make sure she looked strong and healthy like a queen should be.

"Would you please excuse us," a masculine voice called causing both Minzy and the maid to look towards the door way.

Minzy became tongue tied as she saw the king step forward with a tray in hand and the same understanding grin he wore earlier, "Uh..."

GD glanced over to the maid who quickly bowed before exiting. GD then turned his gaze back to the speechless Minzy who sat wide eyed staring up at him. "I brought you some porridge. It's not as good as the one you made of course, but I think the chefs are following close behind to your expertise." Placing the tray onto the dresser she sat in front of his grin spread into a full smile, "Don't worry I didn't make it if that's what you're thinking."

"You...you..." she was trying to grasp what was going on as she watched him sit onto her bed. "You..."

"You what," he chuckled at her stuttering.

"Why did you pull one of the chefs aside to make this? They all need to be focusing on the preparation for the celebration that is to start pretty soon."

He nodded as he pressed his lips firmly together before leaning forward to rest place his elbows onto his lap and rest his chin upon his fists, "I know."

"You know yet you have them make this porridge for me," she asked in disbelief.

"Then don't waist their precious time that they took away to make it and eat it," he shrugged his shoulders.

She sighed as she shook her head and started to eat the porridge. Doing so, she would glance back from time to time over at him to see him staring at her intently, "What?"

He shook his head as he grinned, "Nothing."

Feeling somewhat self conscious from all his staring she turned fully to be surprised that he was face to face with her. She froze in place as their eyes locked. As much as her mind was screaming to move away, some weird gravitational pull made her stay still. His eyes seemed to have more depth since she'd last looked into them. It was as if she was staring into the windows of his soul as they spoke of sadness, pain, and hurt.

"Minzy," he softly spoke as he pulled her out of her trance but not pulling away from her.

"Hmm..." was all she could hum as she watched as his eyes started to change and express something different.

"Thank you," he grinned.

"For...what," she mumbled.

"For everything," he sighed as he retreated to an upright position.

Shaking her head, she also straightened her posture as she glanced over to him, "I don't understand."

"I will be the king you need me to be from now on," he said firmly as he searched her his for a reaction.

"Wha...what spurred this on?"

"It's taken me up until that night of you telling me how selfish I was to start to realize who I am."

"And what is that," she asked feeling her heart starting to pound.

"I am the king," he spoke half heartedly feeling the weight of the responsiblity sink in. "I am the king of this strong nation, yet I am not fit to lead it."

Minzy didn't understand what had come over her as she reached out and took his hands in hers giving them a slight squeeze, "We both aren't fit to lead the kingdom alone which is why we have both you and I."

She watched as his head hung low and he began to cry as he squeezed her hands. His hands began to tremble as he started to sob bringing their hands to his face letting her feel of his fallen tears and hot breath. It was so touching to see him in such a state as she freed her hands and pulled him into a tight embrace. The feeling of his hot breath against her neck to the tears that started to moisten her gown stirred something deep inside of her. Never in all her years with him had they shared such an intimate moment such as this.

"I promise you that I will be the king you need me to be," he sobbed into her chest.

"I know you will," she cooed as she felt his arms tighten around her.

Even though his crying had subsided they continued to hold each other tightly, "I don't know how you did it alone for so long."

She grinned as the thought of Seungri came to mind, "I had help along the way."

He sighed as he pulled away to look at her to see her with nothing but understanding in her eyes. "Minzy though I know I don't deserve your forgiveness or respect I would like to know if we can work together for the sake of this kingdom?"

"I wouldn't have it any other way," she grinned as he then mirrored her grin.

"Good," he said as he rose to his feet. "That's all I ask."  She nodded in approval before he left.

As the door closed she felt some unseen force hit her right in the chest. Placing her hands on the pressure she shut her eyes and whispered a quiet prayer up to the heavens for what had just happened.

Minzy couldn't believe the strength she was feeling as a knock came at the door. "My lady we are ready for you."

"Thank you," Minzy smiled over her shoulder before raising up to her feet.

Whether it was the cool cloth, food, or conversation with GD, Minzy felt as though she had enough energy to go through out the night. Making her way out of her room she was first met by Teddy who had worry written all over her face. But she reassured him with a smile as she continued to walk past him and down the stairs to be met with GD who stood with his arm out for her to take. Though they may have had a moment together earlier, she wasn't entirely ready to take on this new GD. She smiled as she lightly placed her hand on top of his with a slight bow before removing her hand to walk forward. She was grateful he didn't pressure her as he only fell into step with her as they made their way out to the balcony.

The kingdom cheered loudly as their king and queen appeared. Being the gracious queen that Minzy was, she waved and blew kisses out to the crowd before them as GD earned hearty cheers with his fist in the air.

Bringing his fist down he stepped forward and glanced back at Minzy with a wink before turning to over look his people. "My great people we welcome you out to our first celebration. We have suffered many afflictions as a people pain, hurt, death. In our sufferings we have grown into stronger people and that is what we celebrate today. We live, we learn, and we move forward. We move forward to a new, but we don't forget what we've been through. This is what I your king is learning personally. Though I may not be perfect with my queen," he paused as he extended his hand back to Minzy who gladly took it and stepped forward by him. "We together will move this kingdom forward," he roared as he rose both of their hands in the air allowing the kingdom to shout and cheer. "Now let us rejoice and celebrate a new!" The crowd cheered as the king and queen waved to allow the celebration to begin.

"Great speech my Lord," Teddy greeted them as they stepped back in from the balcony.

"Thank you," GD grinned as he guided Minzy in and kept a grip onto her hand. He turned his gaze to Minzy and smiled, "Would you like me to you back to your room?"

GD's new character felt overwhelming as she shook her head, "No thank you. I actually would like to go out and enjoy the celebration."

"My lady are you sure you're in the right condition to do so," Teddy asked as he stepped forward.

She smiled as she nodded, "Yes I am."

"Well then, would you like me to you around the festivities," GD asked.

"Thank you for your kindness, but I think I want to venture them alone to make sure I'm not causing so much of a scene," she smiled as she pulled her hand out of his grasp. She could see the slight flinch he made from the loss of contact, but she didn't want to rush into things with him.

"My lady at least allow me to follow you from a distance for your safety," Teddy added.

GD nodded as he grinned to Minzy, "Yes please allow at least him to aid you."

Minzy sighed as she finally agreed, "If you must." She gave GD a grateful smile, "You really did take on your roll as the king out there."

"Thank you, I'm glad you were impressed," he smiled. "Now go and enjoy the celebration."

"You should as well," she mirrored his smile before she turned to leave.

Minzy smiled as she watched young children run past her with what looked like newly won toys. The celebration was a success as she walked through out the city to see people of all ages dancing and singing to their hearts content. This day was filled with happiness as she explored the various booths and activities going on, but there was one thing missing.

"Found you," a little girl squealed as she attached herself onto Minzy's leg.

Minzy chuckled as she scooped the precious girl into her arms to give her a nice squeeze, "You did!"

"I can't believe people can't recognize you," CL appeared with the boys and Top following behind.

"That's because everyone is too busy enjoying the celebration," Top chuckled as he watched the boys give Minzy an attacking embrace.

"Are you guys enjoying the festivities," Minzy asked as she stooped down to meet all their smiling faces.

"Yeah we're getting a lot of treats," Don chimed as Deuk nodded not being able to reply with his mouth filled.

Minzy chuckled as she ruffled Deuk's hair before standing back up to be met with her smiling baby boy, "Awe come here." Scooping her bundle full of joy in her arms she started to rock him in her arms, "Are you having fun my Daesung?" His smile widened making all three adults chuckle.

"I guess that's a yes. You really out did yourself," Top complimented Minzy.

"Yes you did, speaking of which why are you out and about? Aren't you still sick," CL asked as she placed the back of her hand to Minzy's forehead.

"I'm fine, really. I was able to find a renewed strength," Minzy grinned at the thought of her moment with GD.

"And what does that mean," CL asked suspiciously as she eyed Minzy who spoke with a hidden message behind what she said.

Minzy grinned at her dear friend and shook her head, "It's nothing. Now let's go and enjoy the rest of the night before the finally."

"I heard it was going to be magical," Bom spoke up.

Minzy nodded as she smiled down at Bom, "Yes it will be. This will be the first time I've ever seen it."

"Really? What is it," Deuk asked as he gulped down the last of his goodies.

Minzy shrugged her shoulders before she placed a sweet kiss onto Daesung's forehead, "We'll just have to wait and see."

Minzy loved every moment of mixing in with the regular people. She sang and danced along to the various songs with CL and Top's lovely family. It was something she had never experienced before. She felt free and alive without a care on her shoulders.

"My fair towns people the show is shortly going to take place, everyone outside and keep your eyes to the skies," someone announced.

All the children looked wide eyed at Minzy who smiled innocently before filing out with everyone else.

"Take my hand," Minzy whispered down to Bom who nodded and linked arms with Deuk. When all of them had their hands linked Minzy weaved in and out of the crowds who all stood confused at why they were staring up at the sky.

"Where are we going," Don called out holding tightly to his mother's hand.

CL shrugged her shoulders as she squeezed her husband's hand, "I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

Before they knew it, they were led away from the celebration and to an open field. Minzy grinned as she spotted the small grassy hill and dropped Bom's hand, "I'll race you!"

"See you slow pokes," Top shouted as he zoomed past them.

With all the squeals, they all raced to the top to see Deuk be the first one, "I win!"

They all laughed before turning to Minzy, "Now what?"

Minzy smiled as she craddled Daesung, "Now we look to the skies and wait." Taking a seat the family followed all finding a comfortable spot as they all anticipated the finally.

"There you are," a voice gasped in relief causing everyone to snap their heads back to see Teddy leaning over his knees heaving.

"Nice to see you made it, come have a seat with us," Minzy smiled as she patted the grass next to her. He nodded and sighed deeply as he took a seat next to her.

Within seconds there was a loud bang that rang out making the children jump as they watched a small light go up into the sky and then explode raining various colors of light. This caused everyone to awe and ooo as they watched more colors blast into the sky.

"What...is this..." Don breathed in amazement.

"Fireworks," Minzy smiled up at the magical scene above them.

"They're beautiful," Bom said as she snuggled up against Minzy.

"They sure are," Minzy smiled as she looked down to Daesung who held a big smile at the glistening lights.

Minzy couldn't help but feel such a peace come over her as she looked around at all the faces she loved dearly. They all sat in a trance with the reflections of the fireworks in their eyes. As they all sat soaking up the first time in their lives experiencing fireworks, Minzy couldn't help but feel so blessed for this beautiful moment with the people she loved.
