Chapter 35
The Truth Behind The LiesAfter Jessica and I helped Yoona get cleaned up, we left for the apartment. Yuri was in our and so Jessica and I waited for Yoona and Yuri to talk.
“A hard couple of weeks, huh?” Jessica asked as we sat on the couch.
“Yeah, definitely,” I replied.
“Listen, Tiff. I know it won’t mean much or change anything that happened…but I’m sorry.”
“Jessie, this isn’t your fault.”
“I know, but it’s my dad who did this, my own father.”
I didn’t know what to say to him, so after a long moment of silence I decided to change the subject, “any news on Taeyeon?”
“No, I don’t know. I haven’t seen her since this morning.”
“You should go,” I said.
“No, I should stay here.”
“No, you should go, really. Yoona and Yuri are gonna be in there for a while and I know how much Taeyeon means to you so, go.”
“Thanks Tiff,” he said getting up and walking out the door.
“Call me when you hear anything,” I called out and he nodded and then shut the door.

I was falling asleep when Yuri and Yoona came out. I quickly sat up from the couch.
“Is everything ok?” I asked.
Yuri didn’t say anything; she only gave me a slight smile, so Yoona who answered, “for now, its ok.”
“Good,” I said, smiling.
Then my phone rang, it was Jessica.
“Hello, Jessie,” I said.
“Hey, I just wanted to let you know that she’s awake!” Jessica said.
“That’s great. I’ll be there,” I said hanging up.
“Taeyeon’s awake,” I said to Yuri and Yoona.

Once I got there, I found Jessica waiting for me.
“Hey, is everything ok? I thought you were in there?” I asked.
“I was going to but uhh…I kinda don’t think I should,” he said.
“Why?” I asked confused.
“Because I could have killed her.”
“Jessie, what happened wasn’t your fault. She was drunk, she turned the wheel, not you.”
“I know, but I could have tried to prevent it…I don’t know, I just don’t think I should see her right now…but I was hoping maybe you could?”
“Me? She hates me. I don’t think she’s want me to be first person she sees.”
“Tiff, please? I don’t want her to think that no one came to see her.”
“What about Wooyoung?”
“I don’t know, I haven’t even tried calling him.”
“Don’t bother. I guess I shouldn’t take it to heart that he doesn’t visit people in hospitals,” I said.
Jessica gave me a confused look as I continued.
“I’ll go see her.”
“Thank you so much Tiff,” he said I walked into Taeyeon’s hospital room.
