Prince Charming & Charmed Princess

Entwined Destinies
Taeyeon had been on the phone dialling and redialling for a least an hour and all she got in respond was the busy tone. It took a real painful toll on
her heart. Even her parents weren't responding.
Annyo, annyo, please pick up, she worried, tears forming in her eyes. She thought of Yesung again and it was as if there was a hand squeezing
tightly on her heart.
Exhausted from the anguish, Taeyeon slowly placed the phone back down to where it was. Aigo, eotteoke, she thought. Taeyeon realized there was
only one reasonable thing to do now, as much as she really didn't want to do it.
   Go talk to Leeteuk.
She groaned as she thought about it, but she knew she really had no other choice. Muttering under her breath, Taeyeon waddled to the door
and twisted the doorknob. As she stepped into the doorway, she saw Leeteuk's door right next to hers, and she hated the fact thst it appeared to be
mocking her, teasing her for the fact that she couldn't approach the person inside it properly.
Screw you, Leeteuk.... she scowled under her breath.
Taeyeon closed her own door and stood in front of Leeteuk's door. She took a deep breath, and before she could change her mind, she swung the door
open as fast as she could.
What she saw made her jaw drop.
"ARGHHH! BUOYA?!!!" came Leeteuk's terrified call.
Taeyeon had no idea what do next, for what she saw was Leeteuk wearing nothing but a towel. He was drying his hair with another towel, as
he caught sight of her.
   "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
"Miahne," she whimpered, and quickly shut the door behind. She quickly rushed back to her own room and locked it behind her, hoping
he wouldn't come and interrogate her. There was a dizzy feeling inside her head for some reason.
Aigo, that was by far the worst outcome ever, she huffed. She rubbed her hands together. Why is it....sticky...? Suddenly, she looked down to see
blood on her hands. Buoya? Taeyeon brought her hands up to her face and realized what was going on.
   Her nose was bleeding.
Taeyeon realized what had just happened and turned bright red, causing more blood to gush out of her nose.
"Eoteokke," she moaned. She rushed over to the floral tissue box on the wooden side table and pressed the tissues on her nose.
"Yah!" a voice called followed by a knock. "Ajumma! Just what were you doing?! Next time knock like me!"
Crap, Taeyeon thought. It's him. If he comes in and sees me like this now he'll surely misunderstand.
"Miahne! I'm kind of busy right now!" Taeyeon yelled back.
"Well so was I, for the record, but that didn't stop you from being the nosy & prodding ajumma that you are!"
"What kind of man would force a woman to let him into her room?!"
"What kind of woman would barge into a man's room without knocking first?!"
Taeyeon's recollection of what she saw when she barged into the room wasn't helpful to her nosebleed, as it started spurting out again.
Dang it, Jung Soo...why'd you have to be so...so....ARGH!!!!
Taeyeon heard another knock on the door, gentler this time.
"Yah, Taeyeon, are...are you all right in there?" came Leeteuk's voice. It was so gentle and soothing that Taeyeon was just about to forget
everything and let him in again. She could picture his sheepish smile as he said those words.....the way his eyes twinkled....
YAH!!! TAEYEON!!! GET A GRIP!! He's fooled you so many times with that charming smile and twinkling eyes and you're going to fall for it
AGAIN?! I don't think so!
"Yah, Jung Soo-ssi! You're not tricking me with that suave tone of yours again!" Taeyeon said.
"Buoy--I just wondered if you needed help or something...because you seemed to be hurrying ot my room before after all....."
Omo...his voice seems so honest....ANNYO!! ANNYO!!! Don't listen to him!
"Forget it," she said. "It wasn't important anyways...."
"Araseo..." Leeteuk mumbled from behind the door. "Look, I'm not the person you think I am....and I can't tell you why yet....but, I want
to let you know that if you need anything......you can always ask--"
"JUNG SOO OPPA!!! COME HERE!!!" came Leeyoung's voice from downstairs.
"Ah...NE!" came Leeteuk's response. Taeyeon breathed a sigh of relief as she heard his footsteps leaving. Saved by the pretty aristocratic girl,
she sighed. Taeyeon pressed the tissue harder against her nose and leaned back on the table leg. I don't think I can take much more of this.
Sharing a building with him seems to be too much for me to handle for some reason.
Taeyeon dabbed at her nose a few times and finally went to the washroom to wash up. As she did so, she caught sight of a reflection of her-
self in the mirror. What she saw looking back to her was a pretty-eyed girl with brown hair, staring back at her, a confused expression on
the girl's face. She slowly reached behind ear to tuck a strand of hair behind her hair, and blinked a few times. The reflection was hers and
hers alone, but for some reason it felt empty and shallow, as if it wasn't hers at all.
   Kim Taeyeon-ah....who are you nowadays?
She grabbed her hair in frustration.
"DANG IT, PARK JUNG SOO!!" she screeched loudly. She collapsed onto the counter, as of she'd just released a terrible burden on herself by
 screaming his name out loudly.
Taeyeon looked back up to the mirror, and realized that her eyes were suddenly crimson and clearer with tears.
Wae....Leeteuk-ssi, did you have to be a devil hiding under an angel's cover? Why couldn't you just be the angel you were when we met for the
first time?! You tricked me into trusting you, and then you went after my friends.....but when I see you smiling and hear you talk in that
enchanting voice of yours...I don't know what to think anymore....
She slowly and dejectedly walked out of the washroom and collapsed on the comfy bed face-first, burying her head in her arms and hoping
to get rid of her sudden severe headache. Leeteuk's name kept ringing in her head over and over again, and she wanted nothing more than
to shake it out completely.
At that moment, Taeyeon heard a sudden knocking on the door.
"Go away...." she mumbled into her pillows.
The knocking came again, louder this time.
Taeyeon lost it and chucked the pillow she was lying on at the door. "I SAID GO AWAY!!!" she shrieked uncontrollably.
"Taeyeon-ssi, it's me," a feminine voice whimpered hesitantly.
Cho Hee. Taeyeon immediately jumped off the bed and straightened out her clothes and hair as fast as she could. She wiped her tears away
in a fury and did her best to get any splotches of red out of her face. She waddled over to the door, picked up the tossed pillow and finally
sprang the door open to find a slightly cowering and somewhat unbearably cute Cho Hee standing at the door.
"I-is everything okay?" Cho Hee stuttered.
"Ne, ne!" Taeyeon forced her best smile, knowing there were still red splotches on face that would convince Cho Hee otherwise. She turned
around to hurriedly brush away anything left on her face. "I...I just thought you were someone else....did you need anything?"
Cho Hee looked slightly reassured and smiled gently at Taeyeon. "Annyo, annyo, I just wondered if you wanted to go on a little tour around
this place, since I'm kind of bored and have nothing else to do. Just to let you know where it is exactly you're living in."
Taeyeon beamed for a moment, but then her expression became sullen once again. \
   "Um...you know...about that...it's just--I mean--annyo...miahne, but--um..." Taeyeon seemed unable to form a sentence out of her words.
She took a deep breath and tried again.
  "Er...he isn't coming....right?" Taeyeon muttered.
Cho Hee blinked a few times, confused. "He? Who do you mean?"
Taeyeon gave Cho Hee an are-you-kidding-me expression and gestured to her left side. Cho Hee's widened eyes showed her understanding
immediately.
Wow, talk about showing emotions with your eyes, Taeyeon thought.
"YOU MEAN LEETEUK OPPA?!" she said, a little louder than intended. Taeyeon's horrified expression matched with her sudden desparate
lunge as she covered Cho Hee's mouth with both of her hands.
"SHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" she whispered harshly. "Don't let him hear me mention his name!!!"
Cho Hee struggled a little and pulled Taeyeon's arms away from . "MIAHNE!" she whispered back harshly. "But why....are
you acting like this? What's with you and Teukie oppa?"
Taeyeon looked left and right in a hurry, to make sure that her currently arch-nemesis person wasn't lurking or creeping around the halls
somewhere nearby. She breathed a sigh of relief as she realized there wasn't a shadow to be seen.
Taeyeon forced a very obviously fake smile at Cho Hee.
"Nothing! Nothing at all!" Taeyeon said. She shoved Cho Hee lightly by the shoulders and stepped out of the room closer the door behind her.
She grabbed onto Cho Hee's arms and pushed her down the hallway. "Kaja! Let's go do the tour, araseo? Araseooo~" Taeyeon sang cheerfully
and pushed Cho Hee along.
"Ah...ah, ne!" Cho Hee replied, slightly startled by Taeyeon's inability to keep a constant emotion for even five seconds. She pulled her arms
gently away from Taeyeon, and led her casually down the hallway and to the grand staircases. The two girls started stepping down the
golden steps, Taeyeon turning her head every which way in order to take in any sights that she'd missed before. She gazed intently at the
beautiful mosaic walls, glinting in the dim light, and the golden decorations that seemed to add so much to the mansion.
"Oh, by the way....where is....er...you-know-who anyways...?" Taeyeon suddenly asked Cho Hee, quietly and cautiously.
Cho Hee turned to look at Taeyeon, tilting her heads sideways in confusion, and blinking more rapidly that ever.
Aigo...I just found Jessica's new best friend.............who's a friggin real-life doll.... Taeyeon shook the thought out of her head and gestured
behind her again, a frown on her face, in the direction of her own room and Leeteuk's room.
Cho Hee widened her bubbly, doll-like eyes again.
"YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT TEUKIE OPPA?!!" Cho Hee screeched, even louder than before this time. Taeyeon practically jumped down the
entire flight of stairs just in order to prevent the doll's loudmouth to continue gabbing off.
"Ne...him...." Taeyeon gritted her teeth. She pulled her hands off Cho Hee's mouth yet another time. She looked away, slightly annoyed and
sighed.
Cho Hee, meanwhile, had crossed her arms and stared at Taeyeon suspiciously. "Araseo, unnie, give it up," she said, suddenly firm and
commanding, which is as expected of the daughter of a billionaire. She crossed her arms and leaned casually on the staircase. "What's going on
with you and Teuk oppa?" It was enough to let Taeyeon finally feel and witness the power and presence of the daughter of the 2nd richest man
in all of Korea.
Taeyeon ended up unable to do nothing but stutter again. "He....and...I...uh....are...uh....um....er...are....kind of in a.....er...." Her expression
was completely bewildered, as if she just saw a wild beast of some sort appear.
Cho Hee couldn't help losing all her toughness from before and started giggling hysterically suddenly. She grabbed onto Taeyeon's arm as if
they were the closest of friends and kept laughing.
"Omo, unnie is so kyeopta!" Cho Hee squealed.
Taeyeon looked kind of dazed. "N-ne?"
Cho Hee clung tighter onto Taeyeon's arm. "Kinchena, you'll be fine," she laughed. "Leeteuk oppa is a really good person, from what I remember a
long time ago." She rubbed Taeyeon's arm gently. "I'm sure you'll make amends with him soon." Cho Hee gave her best and most radiant smile, a
smile that made Taeyeon hesitate and finally decide not to say what she was going to say next.
Taeyeon sighed in defeat. "Araseo..." she said. "If you think he's a good person, I'm not going to go and ruin your fantasies and such." She stepped down
the staircase with an obvious cloud of depression floating around her, dragging its dreariness all the way down the staircase. It was so strong that it
even managed to make Cho Hee's perfect smile fade away. She hoisted her bouncy white dress up and ran after Taeyeon.
"Yah, yah! Unnie! Jamkan man!" Cho Hee called after Taeyeon, who only kept walking faster. Cho Hee frowned slightly and quicken her pace.
"Yah, UNNIE! Do you even know where to go?! Yah!"
"I can explore on my own!" Taeyeon replied, like a little kid.
Cho Hee stood there at a loss for words as Taeyeon scurried aimlessly down the vast halls and huge corridors of the secluded mansion. She moved
to follow Taeyeon but suddenly Taeyeon stopped in her tracks and turned back to face Cho Hee, a mysterious smile on her face.
"U--unnie...?" Cho Hee stuttered, her permanent smile faltering.
Taeyeon kept smiling as she started to approach Cho Hee. She put a sisterly hand on Cho Hee's shoulder.
  "You....love Leeteuk-ssi, don't you?" Taeyeon asked slyly.
Cho Hee's smile disappeared completely at that moment, and her expression completely froze over. She didn't say a word, and could only stare back
at Taeyeon, completely dazed.
  "So..?" Taeyeon pushed on.
Cho Hee turned her head from side to side, supposingly to what she considered a shake of her head.
Taeyeon's eyes narrowed, matching her smile. She pulled her hand back. "So if I don't tell Leeteuk you like him, you'll let me do whatever I want in
this house....right?"
Cho Hee could do nothing but bob her head awkwardly up and down.
Taeyeon's eyes widened again and her smile became the old, dorky genial Taeyeon smile. "ARASEO! That's good!" she patted Cho Hee on the shoulder.
"I think I'll go explore now....by myself."
She turned her back on Cho Hee and skipped away happily. Haha, I am such an evil person...
"J--Just try not to break anything!" Cho Hee called from behind her.
"Ne!" Taeyeon responded. At times like these, I need to be alone...
Taeyeon walked down the hallways that seemed to be like a magical labyrinth of sorts, some dark and ominous, others bright and pleasing. She
stuck her head into various and random rooms and doors like a curious child, only to be plesantly surprised with a beautiful sight each time.
She managed to catch sight of an indoor pool, various sport courts, auditoriums, and other things that completely blew her mind away. The value and
pricelessness of it all was impossible for someone who's always led a rather normal and less than simple lifestyle. She didn't dare step foot into any
one of the doors for the fear of causing damage to anything was too great. The extravagant furniture, decorative paintings, gold and silver touches and
the whole image of it all was overwhelming to her. The more she walked around, the bigger the place seemed, and the more lost she got.
Wow, this seriously is the life of a modern princess....
As Taeyeon kept walking down the completely deserted corridors, she came across a door that looked different from the rest. In fact, it wasn't
just one door at all, but a lovely, grand pair of double doors, tall and towering over the already normally short Taeyeon. They were painted a
pure and lovely shade of bright white, almost adding a natural glowing effect to them. The twisted vine decorations and handles for both doors
were drenched in a shining coat of silvery-gold. It happened to be placed in a dimly-lit hallway in the midst of nowhere, and it had a somewhat
magical and enchanting aura on it, as if it was a gateway to some sort of childrens' fairy-tale.
Slightly mesmirized by it, Taeyeon reached out her right hand and moved hypnotically towards the door's handle. She gently grasped the handle
and with everything curious thought and adventurous feeling she had left inside her heart, she gave it a hard push, springing both doors open and
making her gasp at what had been hidden behind it.
It was a beautiful ballroom that was completely white, with shining diamond chandeliers hanging from the high, mosaic covered ceiling above
and ornate walls with silver decorations. White roses decorated the sides of the room, and there were dim lights pulsing gently from all around giving
the room a gentle glow. Taeyeon heard the doors close behind her, but she didn't care any longer. She had been hypnotized and mesmerized by whatever
magic was in this room, and all she could suddenly see and think about was this resemblance of an angel's hideout.
She took a daring step forward, and as she did, a flow of light waltzing music flowed from the speakers, the kind of music that would play at a real
princess' ball. The gentle melody and the beautiful surroundings made Taeyeon felt slightly woozy in her head, as if she really was hypnotized by
some sort of spell. She started swaying gently to the song.

"An angel's song, a blessed curse....
A loud silence bursting through the air...."

As the lyrics of the song floated through the room, it was only then that Taeyeon truly witnessed the magic which took place then. The lights
in the chandeliers suddenly shone brightly than ever and illuminated the entire room, casting its shine on the entire room, taking away the
former dimness. But it wasn't only the sudden change in lighting that shocked and pleasantly surprised Taeyeon.
Floating elegantly and perfectly out of the chandeliers from above were beautiful dancing couples; the ladies were all dressed in gorgeous, flowing
white dresses while the gentlemen were wearing black suits that contrasted perfectly with their partners. They were waltzing perfectly in sync with
the music, and twirlling majestically with every single flow of the music, and eventually touching their gliding feet to the smooth ballroom floor.
And the most surprising part of all was that they were no ordinary couples: Taeyeon found herself looking at Yoona and Donghae, Jessica and Heechul,
Seohyun and Kyuhyun, Sunny and Sungmin, Tiffany and Siwon and Hyoyeon and Eunhyuk, all arm in arm and dancing beauitfully with each other.
Never before had Taeyeon seen them so stunning before, in their pure and simple yet utterly magnificient dresses. Their alluring hair flared out behind
them with every spin, but the most wonderful sight of beauty of all had to be the looks in their eyes. Their eyes were twinkling and alluring in a way Taeyeon
had never seen them before as they gazed solemnly yet playfully at their partners, barely even blinking for a second. Taeyeon watched them twirl around
ad around her, seemingly in perfect formation, just like a scene straight out of a fairy-tale.
They're okay... Taeyeon thought in joy. I was worried for nothing....they're all fine!!!

"The spell you casted on me, so long ago...
Remains chained to me still, to this very day..."

At that moment, Yoona and Donghae plus Seohyun and Kyuhyun made their way over to Taeyeon, while the other couples continued dancing.
Taeyeon could only stare at the four, mesmerized by the flawlessness of them all. They seemed to be glowing slightly with a slightly unearthly and
angelic touch to them, as if they weren't really there at all.
Yoona and Seohyun unhooked their arms from Donghae and Kyuhyun and walked slowly and gracefully up to Taeyeon, their partners waiting
patiently for them.
Taeyeon-unnie, come dance with us, Seohyun smiled at Taeyeon. She pulled gently on Taeyeon's arm, her elegant yet simple ponytail bouncing and
flipping as she did so.
"I...I would..." Taeyeon couldn't help saying. "...But I...I don't have a dress.....or a partner..." She her dirty jeans and slightly tattered sweater
modestly.
Yoona smiled as she walked up to her unnie. Taeyeon couldn't help blinking at her dongsaeng in disbelief: Yoona was normally already way prettier
than any normal girl but at that very moment she really looked like a true goddess; radiant, pure and proud. She suddenly reached her arms around
the back of her neck. Taeyeon watched as Yoona unfastened the delicate and glimmering diamond necklace that she'd been wearing this entire time.
As she removed in from her neck, she held it up at Taeyeon and smiled divinely at her unnie.
Here unnie, put this on, Yoona said. Taeyeon stood on her tippy-toes obediently as Yoona bent down to fasten the necklace around her unnie's neck. As
soon asTaeyeon felt the clasp click into place, she gasped as she felt an overwhelming feeling overcoming her.

"Stronger and stronger every day, the bond was to be...
Until you eventually took complete control of me...."

Taeyeon suddenly felt herself floating into the air, shrouded and covered completely by a mysterious light that shone harshly and brightly from the
necklace that Yoona had just given her. It grew stronger and stronger until at last Taeyeon had to close her eyes and shield herself from the harshness
of the light, and it was only then that whatever had been holding her up gave away completely, and the light dissapeared at that moment as well,
ending her collapsing to the ground. She fell flat on the ballroom floor, her legs sprawled out behind her.
"Aiyah...." Taeyeon groaned in pain. She looked up at Yoona and Seohyun for help, and was surprised to see that they were smiling encoragingly at her.
Taeyeon unnie....you look beautiful... Yoona admired. Donghae nodded agreeingly behind her.
Ne....just like a real princess....Seohyun continued. Kyuhyun gave a mischevious two-thumbs-up behind her.
Taeyeon sported a confused expression on her face for a moment, but then she caught sight of her sprawled feet.
   ...silver heels...when did I...?
She the realized that slightly covering those delicate silver heels was a lovely skirt of white fabric, decorated with a thin line of silver on the edge. The
flowing white draped her legs gently and covered all the way up to her waist, where it was fastened with a lovely, thick white and silver ribbon going all
the way around her waist and tied together with a pretty, full bow at the back. The top of the dress was strapless, emphazing the dazzling shimmer of the
diamond necklace that Yoona had just given her. Taeyeon instinctly brought her hand up to her hair and realized that it was no longer in its messy
ponytail from before but was now done up in a lovely and elegant updo hairstyle that framed her face perfectly with her natural curls. There was also a
white corsage pinned on her chest, but instead of a black rose like the ones her dongsaengs had that matched their partners' attire, hers was a pure
white. It was full-bloomed, glistening rose with silver-lining, and it was so brilliant that it almost outshone the diamond necklace.
Taeyeon stood up, brushed of her dress and looked at her attire in disbelief. "Buoy.....how did....?" At that moment, she caught sight of the diamond
necklace, which momentarily gave a flickering glint.

"Your words are your magical spell..."

Taeyeon turned to look at where Yoona and Seohyun stood moments ago and realized they'd dissapeared and had once again returned to their
partners. They were standing a little further away, and all four of them were looking at her encouragingly with angelic and unearthly smiles on their
faces. Taeyeon's attention, however, was still fixated on the fact that she'd just been transformed into some sort of princessy fairy-tale character by some
sort of magical necklace. She kept picking and pulling at her white dress and her necklace and hair, as if unable to believe all of it was actually
there for real.

"One'd best take heed of your cunning smile..."

Unnie, shouldn't you join us now..? Seohyun casually prodded Taeyeon with a mischevous smile, interuptting Taeyeon's prodding and poking.
"Buoya...?" Taeyeon responded, slightly annoyed. She crossed her arms and posed in a way that looked really awkward and out of place with her
attire. "I may have a sparkly dress and all that but just in case you haven't noticed I still don't have someone to dance with." She started combing
through her hair with her fingers frantically, with no self-intent on perking her head up again anytime soon.
Araseo, then we'll just leave you be then, Yoona smiled. She let Donghae pull her away back to the dancefloor and return to their effortless
dancing, as if they'd been waltzing their entire lives with each other. Their smooth glides and light steps were indeed an image of perfection.
Seohyun and Kyuhyun followed their sunbaes lead, and after Seohyun gave Taeyeon a slight nod of her head, she too returned to her rightful
place in Kyuhyun's arms, her dress flaring beautifully out behind her with every turn.
When did they get together? Taeyeon couldn't help thinking as she glared enviously at yet another picture perfect couple that she could never
compare to herself. Seohyun was the pretty, porcelain doll type that usually looked good in anything she wore, but Taeyeon had always though
that the innocent maknae always looked best in the simple shade of white. It brought out her beauty in such a way that was indescribable, just
like now. All she was wearing was a simple white dress with no fancy patterns or popping frills and laces or anything like that and yet she still
looked like a princess. The delicate and pretty smile she had completed her allure, and of course her partner was no less worthy than she was of
having each other as partners.
Taeyeon felt more and more lonely as she watched her friends continuously circling happily around and around her. Her feeling of loneliness
started to slowly meld into a feeling of depression after a few minutes, as she remembered her once precious memories of herself and Leeteuk. She
held onto her arm and kept her head bent downwards as the reminisced the good times the two had spent together that seemed a long time ago...

   "The puzzle of memories...."

                                                                                      ************************************************

   "Uh...Taenyeon-ssi? Kinchena?"
Taeyeon snapped out of her thoughts immediately, whirled around and caught herself face to face with Leeteuk.
"You kind looked zoned out," he said kindly, "Are you sick?" To her surprise, he placed one of his hands on her forehead. She froze, unable to say or do
 anything.
Leeteuk immediately noticed this and withdrew his hand. "Ay, mianhe, Taenyeon-ssi, if I made you feel uncomfortable." He suddenly looked embarassed
 and full of remorse.
"Ah, annyo Leeteuk-ssi, it's just I was thinking of...things," she replied frantically. She met him in the eyes.'"By the way, it's Taeyeon, not Taenyeon." She
 extended a hand. "Taeyeon mida."
Leeteuk smiled a dimple-smile and immediately took her hand. "Park Jung Soo, but you can call me Eeteuk," he said "Or even Teukie-Teukie Eeteukie oppa."
At this the both of them laughed.
"See you around, Teukie-oppa," Taeyeon beamed.
"You too...Taengoo." Eeteuk responded with wink.

                                                                                              ***********************************

"You really have a very, lovely voice."
With the last ounce of courage she had left, Taeyeon turned around to see who it was.
    "Eeteuk-oppa?!" Taeyeon cried in shocked.
He laughed gently. "You don't want to see me that much?" he asked softly.
"Ah, annyo," Taeyeon frantically answered, "It's just, you scared me a little, that's all."
Leeteuk smiled again, this time wider. He turned his eyes to the stars and said, "You know you should really sing more often."
    "Wae?"
    "Your voice is beautiful."
The two sat in silence for awhile. Why am I like this? Taeyeon thought, Why am I so nervous? We were pretty close after yesterday. How come I'm so
afraid to talk to him?
All of a sudden Eeteuk interrupted her thoughts. He grabbed her arm and declared, "Come! Let's go inside somewhere, it's starting to get cold."
"N-ne." Taeyeon agreed and she let herself get dragged away by Leeteuk.
They passed rows and rows of trees until they finally reached a small restaurant.
"You haven't eaten since lunch, have you?" Leeteuk asked Taeyeon kindly.
"How did you know?" Taeyeon responded with a shocked expression on her face.
    "I was stalking you."
Taeyeon's face must've been truly grotesque at the comment because Leeteuk immediately laughed and said, "Relax. I'm just kidding."
    "Then how do you know?"
He raised his hands to her cheeks and pinched them lightly. "What young lady would have such pale coloured cheeks at this time of day?" He smiled at
her and nodded towards the door. "Come, you must be real hungry." And he pulled her inside.

                                                                                    ************************************************

"Yah! Park Jung Soo! How dare you?!" she bellowed.
Leeteuk backed away with a broad smile on his face.
"Yah, watch the informal language there," Leeteuk laughed.
    "Ah, miahne, ahjussi."
And with that, Taeyeon took a handful of the brown looking goop and smacked it squarely in Leeteuk's face.
He stared at Taeyeon in shock, as if he couldn't believe that tame and moralized Miss Cheerleader Squad Leader would ever dare to do something like that.
However, Taeyeon's smug expression managed to convince him that it really just happened.
Leeteuk's gentle smile re his face. He held out his hand.
"Well played, Kim Taeyeon-ssi," he declared.
Taeyeon looked satisified. She reached out her own hand to take his. "Well, for the record, you started--ACK!"
She looked down at her own arm and saw icky liquid running down all over it, and it was getting sticky fast. Leeteuk was looking at her smugly, evidence
of his crime dripping down his fingers.
"YAH! YOU CHEATER!" she yelled in horror. Leeteuk laughed his loud Elmo laugh and ran out of the kitchen. Taeyeon didn't waste a second and ran quickly
out after him.
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" she yelled as he started jumping over furniture. Wow this house is actually big, she thought as she started breathing heavily.
"GOTTA' CATCH ME FIRST!" Leeteuk yelled.

                                                                                    ************************************************

Despite the pleasant and blissful atmosphere of the ballroom, Taeyeon surprised herself as she felt a tear fall slowly and subtly out of her eyes, landing
and staining the perfection of her dress' pure white skirt. Slightly horrified but mostly shocked, Taeyeon wiped her eyes furiously and as fast as possible,
hoping that no one else saw her somewhat sudden urge to cry and then question her about a bunch of things considering she was a very bad liar to her
friends.
"Annyonghaeseyo, pretty lady, why are you crying?" whispered a soft voice in her right ear.
Aigo, I'm caught! Taeyeon thought in horror as she whirlled around to face her fate. As she caught sight of the person who'd just said those words, she
had to restrain herself from keeping open in shock and her expression as calm and feminine and matching with the formality of the ballroom.
The person was, unexpectedly, a male, dressed all in white from head to toe. Even his polished dress shoes were white. Unlike the other guys in the room,
he wasn't wearing a simple black and white suit. His top had broad shoulders that were covered by golden tassels, and it was fastened at the waist with a
black belt. There were other fancy designs and patterns, and it took awhile for Taeyeon to realize that it was he was wearing prince's attire.
"I--I wasn't crying," Taeyeon replied, still stuttering slightly as one usually does after they cry a little.
"I hope it wasn't because of me again..." he said slowly. Taeyeon turned away in anger and in slight shock of the comment.
"Annyo, my heart is cold towards people whose hearts are the same," Taeyeon responded, not looking the person in the eye.
Suddenly, she felt a soft touch from a hard head slowly touch her cheek, gently as if it was trying to carress her from behind. Before she could
help it, Taeyeon's body reacted before her brain could, and she felt herself turning towards that person again, and forced to stare into his deep,
handsome eyes.
"You know that's not true," he whispered softly, his head still placed on her cheek. Taeyeon was so caught up in the moment that she couldn't
move. He slowly slid the same hand away from her cheek and gently slid it down her arm, making her shiver, and finally resting on her elbow.
He gently held her elbow, and suddenly stepped forward abruptly, forcing her to also step backwards, slightly startled.
Before Taeyeon knew it, he had somehow forced her into the dancing circle, and soon enough they too were waltzing around and around with
the others, and for some reason Taeyeon couldn't bring herself to stop. All she could do was gaze into his eyes, enchanted and mesmerized for
some unknown reason. She could no longer even see or hear anything else around her, and all she could do was follow the faint rhythm of the
song. In a way, she had just as much as control of how much and where her skirt moved with every twirl as she did with the dance itself.
"Wh--what do you want from me?" Taeyeon still had enough sense to say. She struggled with her body and mind to break free from him but found
it was hopeless. There was some kind of spell holding her back, she was sure of it now.
  An angel's curse...
Taeyeon looked around to see that for some reason her dongsaengs had all stopped dancing and moved to the sides of the ballroom. They were all
watching her dance from the sidelines with their partners, their expressions cold and unreadable. Before long, they'd all gone to the side, and it
was only Taeyeon and her partner waltzing around the middle of the room.
Oh no, what could they be thinking....?
Regardless of her worries, Taeyeon was unaware of how beautiful she truly looked at that moment. Although her expression was like that of a
heroine in distress, the way she moved melodically and elegantly with her partner was enough render anyone speechless. Her beauty in the
glimmering white dress was enough render anyone speechless. She and her partner seemed truly as if they were a prince and princess from
a fairy-tale, but at this moment it was unclear whether it was a common girl trying to win the heart of a prince she'd fallen deeply in love with,
or a prince who'd hopelessly fallen in love with a common girl that he would never be able to be with.
"Don't think that this dance means anything at all," Taeyeon scowled angrily.
"Look, I came to tell you this isn't all what you think it is," he responded.
"I don't even want to know what you're thinking of right now."
"I want to tell you a truth."
"I don't want to listen to anything you have to say."
"Listen, what I said before...it was a lie, araseo?" The look in his eyes were so sincere and angelic.
  "BUOYA?!"
The shock Taeyeon got at that comment made her suddenly trip over her own feet suddenly. She let out a yelp as she felt herself toppled forwards
towards her dancing partner, pushing them both to the ground.
  It was like magic.
Everything evaporated immediately. Taeyeon opened her eyes once again after the shock of her fall and found herself in the same dimly lit ballroom
as before. There were no vibrant lights, even the slow waltzing music was gone. She moved her legs slowly and realized that the gorgeous dress
she'd worn before was gone along with the silver heels, and she was back in her tattered jeans and sweater outfit. She reached her hand up to her
neck and hair and realized that her messy ponytail was back, and the diamond necklace was gone. Her eyes scanned around the room and she saw
none of her dongsaeng's in sight, and they'd all dissapeared completely.
Taeyeon sighed in relief. It was all just an illusion.
Taeyeon started to pick herself up when her arm and leg hit something. Taeyeon looked down and realized what it truly was that had happened: she'd
 hit another arm and leg.
  Belonging to another human being.
She carefully and cautiously scanned her eyes slowly and carefully upwards, afraid of what she knew would be coming.
Taeyeon locked eyes with the person at that moment and felt her heart sinking unbearably. Her eyes felt like they would burst out in tears.
"Miahne, Taeyeon..." Leeteuk whispered, as he pulled himself upwards and gazed sadly into Taeyeon's eyes.
Taeyeon could only stare back at Leeteuk, not believing the situation. His eyes were inches away from her own, and she felt as if they were
a reflection of her own as well; misty and confused. She felt herself unable to move at all, and she could only look back at him. The lights of
the ballroom pulsated slowly, as if warning her of the dangers to come should she move.
Of all things to be real....Taeyeon thought in her mind. ...why did it have to be you?
